Ideal central location to visit the surrounding area. From the apartment you can enjoy a breathtaking lake and mountains view. The apartment is the perfect place for a lifestyle vacation with a strong local touch of Italian culture.
Situated on the lake road, running along the western shore of Lake Como, the Lemon Tree apartment (because of the lemon tree in the private garden) has a brand new open kitchen and dining area from which, when seated, all you can see is water and mountain. The bedroom has a double bed, additionally there's also a sofa-bed which can be made into a double bed. There is a bathroom with shower unit, basin, water closet, bidet and washing machine.
There is the possibility to eat outside al fresco on the terrace to enjoy these beautiful views or to enjoy the private garden sunbathing. Right next to the house there is a place to park one car.
Everything here is new and has been chosen with great care, there are teak floors in the living area and Italian tiles in the bathroom. The furnishings, appliances, all linens and dinnerware are also brand new. The simple but tasteful furniture accommodates all tastes and offers our guests everything they need for a comfortable holiday, short break and business trip to Como, Milan or Switzerland.
For those who enjoy beaches: there is a sand beach (one of the few in Como!) just a 2 minute walk.
The apartment is also ideal for those who do not want to be troubled with driving in Italy. The local bus stops directly in front of the apartment. There is also a public bus service from Milan Malpensa airport and Como is also well served by the international train service. We can also offer an excellent English speaking taxi driver service, which is available on request. Switzerland is also a short drive away, 45 minutes by car, where you can find the City of Lugano, Campione D'Italia, with it's famous "Casino" and lovely lake front walk. The famous 'Jet Set' resort of St. Moritz is a two hour drive away.
Many famous people have decided to make this area their own private paradise, George Clooney's, delightful lake side home is only 500 meters walk from here! The Villa Fontanelle, once inhabited by Gianni Versace is 3 minutes drive away. Richard Branson (Virgin CEO) villa is also 10 minutes drive away.

Everything went according to plan with our arrival, Christina meeting us and getting the key. The unit was a bit chilly the first night because of the time of year but once we asked about getting the heat turned on action was taken and we had great comfort after our 2nd night. Enrico was of great help in giving us valuable information about taking the train to Milan and the local bus system.He spoke and understood english very well. We enjoyed a couple of dinner's at his bar "Henry's Bar" (just a short walk up the street) as well as a few cocktails. We were able to get around without a problem without a car and were able to have dinners in downtown Como at 7 pm and still catch the last bus back to Laglio at 8:20 pm. Enrico arranged for a ride to the train the day we left at a reasonable price (Stephan) was great and spoke good english. Even though this apartment is somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of Como, it was a nice quiet place to stay and still get around with ease and enjoy all that Como has to offer. We also walked by the property that George Cluny owns which is very close by...that in itself was worth the stay. Visting from Calgary, Canada 10/22/2011

We stayed here for five days and found the appartment to be ideally situated for day trips in the Como area as well as into Switzerland. Although we did not meet Cristina, we did meet her brother at the restaurant he manages just down the street. We had asked for this apartment earlier and it was not available but became available at the last minute. Cristina was very promt at replying to emails and very helpfull. The pictures and the description do accurately reflect the appearance location and amenities. The apartment had everything we needed inside and out with the exception of perhaps a toaster but we made do with the oven. We also had a bit of a problem figuring out how the washe worked but managed that too. The views both daytime and night were amazing and the garden area was nice. We had been in central Italy previously where the bread was rather heavy so we were pleasantly surprised with a loaf from the baker across the road that seemed lighter than air. We also enjoyed the Wifi at her brothers restaurant where we could have an aperitif and catch up with family on our Iphones. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and the cupboard was even stocked with some basics already such as coffee sugar salt pepper etc. As mentioned the apartment is well located within the Como region and it was perfect for day trips by car or by boat from the neighboring town of Argegno. We would recommend trips to Lugano in Switzerland or a day on the lake using the lake ferries which cost 12 euros for an all day pass with unlimited stops. We had been to Como previously and were rather dissapointed in the waterfront construction which spoiled the view. Hopefully that will be finished soon. Also George Cloonet was not at home and if we had known we would have asked to use his place and not bothered Cristina LOL. We would recommend this appartment to Couples and families with young children and would book there again in the future.
