An elegant Lakefront property tucked away in a tranquil setting, yet close to everything - all set up with privacy in mind. With only steps to downtown Minocqua shopping (antique and otherwise) and walking distance to great dining, you won't need to drive anywhere to enjoy a great Minocqua vacation.
The Hill House Cottage is named after the Hill Family, who were owners of the property back in the late 1800's. This cottage, newly built in 2002 for the B and B Resort, is decorated English Country with darker woods, wonderfully comfortable and exquisite furnishings and a gas fireplace. With 2 private bedrooms, each has an extra-soft queen bed so deep you almost need a platform to climb up, and 2 great full-size baths with one having a whirlpool tub for 2 and a separate shower.
The main floor of the Hill House Cottage includes a romantic bedroom accessed thru french doors, living room with kitchenette, dining nook, and has a 10x30 brick patio overlooking Lake Minocqua with your own patio set and gas grill. The lower level has a very large bedroom complete with sitting area and a full bath with large shower.
For the budget-minded, a second, smaller cottage on our property is available. The Guest House is a one-bedroom unit which is a smaller version of the Hill House and more economically priced and is shown in photos #8-12.
The Guest House is an all in one unit, 16x20 feet of relaxation, with Queen Bed, Fireplace, Mini-Kitchenette, Gas Grill and beautiful arbor-covered private patio.
All the amenities you could think of have been included here - like 35" TV's,DVD/VCR's, stereos, coffeemakers in each suite, highest quality linens and accessories - for an ultimate Northwoods Cottage stay.
HIGH SEASON: Bike or Hike the Bearskin Trail right outside your door with 20+ miles through beautiful woods and over lakes on an old Railroad Line. Since we are on beautiful Lake Minocqua, jump into the canoe, kayak or paddle boat right on the property. Rent the pontoon for a long, lazy afternoon on our chain of 4 lakes. Or just sit out on the piers (with fishing pole or not), docks or decks and enjoy the beautiful view including some of the most spectacular sunsets .... glass of wine anyone?
LOW SEASON: Winter in Minocqua is a true wonderland! Ice-fishing; Cross Country Skiing; Downhill Skiing; Skating; and of course, Snowmobiling - all available within steps of your door!- and of course, shopping too!

Why the Owner Chose Minocqua
First and foremost, Ron's parents had been coming here for 50+ years, so Ron has also since a wee child. Second, we semi-retired after selling our business in Illinois so it was the next logical step. And lastly, but most importantly, Minocqua is the most beautiful area in the whole State of Wisconsin! What gorgeous beauty in the Northwoods, on the 1000's of Lakes here in this area and the Friendliest people anywhere. It truly is paradise!

Our location is walking a short block to the Downtown Shoppes and Restaurants or the 19-mile Bike/Hike Bearskin Trail or sitting out on your private patio Cooking on your Gas Grill and enjoying another spectacular sunset. You really could leave your car parked the entire vacation!
