My husband and I arrived after an all day travel from sunny and warm Florida, only to be greeted with a warm/cozy fire, a bottle of wine and cheese fondue with fresh bread! Ski Cabin is totally stocked...I could have traveled with just a tooth brush! The owner was very attentive, she emailed and called to make sure everything was perfect. We love the charm of Minturn, with it's quaint stores and nice restaurants, and it's just a short drive to Vail or Avon for shopping and skiing. We enjoyed venturing out on the provided snowshoes. I would definitely recommend this property.

A perfect place to stay for Steadman Clinic patients (and others too)

To say I loved my stay in this cabin is an understatement. The owner, Robin, is wonderful! She is responsive to email and questions and keeps the property in tip-top shape. It's clean and cozy and the decorations are adorable. She wants every guest to feel at home, and she succeeds! I am currently a patient at The Steadman Clinic and this place is very easy to get around on crutches and one can reach from a kitchen counter to the bar seating area without carrying cups or plates. The kitchen has essentials (spices, olive oil, condiments in the fridge), the location is perfect and quiet and I will be staying here again for each of my future post-op visits. I would *highly* recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in a nice cozy cabin. PS-The drive to Vail (Lionshead area) is very short and Minturn has some great places to eat and tons of character. I love it here!

The Perfect Cozy Cottage

Had the pleasure of staying in this cozy cottage over new years weekend. The photos don't do this place justice. It is clean, charming and an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Minturn. If you're looking for a local experience without the craziness of Vail....this is the spot. Robin, the property owner, was incredibly easy to work with and has made this a great mountain retreat. We will be back!

I was honored to stay in this beautiful cabin after surgery at the Steadman Clinic in September, plus again on a follow-up visit. It is perfect place to be for relaxing and healing and you are so close to everything. The owner is so wonderful and a joy to work with and I'm looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Stayed in Sept 2011. The place has everything you could want. Owner very easy to deal with and really wants you to have a good stay. Was like staying at a friend's house, but with hotel benefits.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin this past week. Robin has gone out of her way to ensure a beautiful vacation. We enjoyed the kitchen and the cozy backyard quite a bit. I wanted to thank you for everything you did to make our stay enjoyable. It was great and your suggestions helped a lot. The cabin is very cute and clean! It really has everything, plus some! The patio was the perfect outdoor setting and we loved the firepit as it cools off considerably at night. The lights created wonderful ambience! Nestled in between Beaver Creek and Vail, it was so close to everything and we really had to do very little driving. We also are big fans of Nickie's Quickie's and Sticky Fingers Cafe' that we could easily walk to from the cabin. We had a fantastic time and would love to visit again!

Adorable and cozy cabin. It had everything we could possibally need (including bed warmers), and decorated so darling. From snowmobiling 3 miles down the road, to a ski day in cooper (your recommendation) we had a perfect time. We love the little town of Minturn, and really enjoyed Kirby Cosmos restaurant (your recommendation). Thanks for the advice of staying an extra night, it really came in handy and extended our fabulous weekend. It felt like we were staying at a friends home.

Owner response:Thanks for leaving the extra 2 for 1 lift ticket coupons for "Ski Cooper" for other cabin guests to use too. Works out to only $21 per person for all day skiing at and a very scenic drive from cabin. I have loved taking my nephews to "Ski Cooper" over the years, it is charming and a very friendly old time local ski area rich in history training our troops to ski. We usually come up from Denver and stay at several places throughout the ski season in Summit and Eagle counties but this might be our new go-to spot. The condo was very well equipped and comfortable and Robin made sure all of our needs were met. Minturn is super fun; a much better alternative to staying in Vail or Beaver Creek but the skiing is still close by. Thanks for the awesome weekend!

Christmas 2010 in Minturn

We were looking for a cabin to rent for Christmas that would accept our dog and we were absolutely thrilled with what we found. This was perfect, very cozy, great location in Minturn (only minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek while away from the crowds). The kitchen and outside grill were great. I would absolutely recommend this place 100% if you are looking for a cozy place to relax away from the crowds at the resort but close enough if you want to go in for dinner/ski. My wife and I have used VRBO's all over the world and this is one of the best we have found, we will be back.

What a wonderful place to stay! This cabin is close to everything - skiing, shopping and the Vail Valley Medical Center. The cabin is comfortable with everything a visitor could need in a "home away from home". We loved our time in the cabin and found the owner to be very helpful.

Owner response:In addition to skiing and other activities, cabin is convenient to Steadman Hawkins Clinic. Several joint replacement patients have enjoyed staying at the cabin to recuperate from surgery and again if they return for physical therapy.

Cozy cabin in nice location!

The Cabin is very sweet and has a great backyard with grill and fire pit. The location is also great with lots of nice hikes and walks, and fishing very close by and Vail is just a few minutes drive. Robin was very helpful and welcoming. My husband and I want to come back to visit this winter and would recommend the place for anyone looking for a quiet place to get away from it all for a few days.

The owner has paid attention to comfort and detail in equipping the cabin for entertaining. It is obvious that she has made an investment in upkeep, remodeling and cleaning. Our daughter works in Vail, and we were able to invite her friends for a cookout. Everyone greatly enjoyed the back patio firepit. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a fruit tart -- thoughtful. We like the proximity to Vail, but were glad to be in more of a small town setting. In short, it was a wonderful vacation, and we plan to return.

Your cabin was perfect for the three of us (plus Remy, the pooch). We especially enjoyed your array of niceties – the fondue, wine, hot chocolate, etc. We all commented how we liked the bathroom faucet – a nice touch. Plenty of heavy duty hooks and shelves at the front entry area to hang /store all things skiing (or whatever) without the hassle of finding a spot. All things worked perfectly. The gas fireplace is very toasty. Plenty of heat (we shut it off for sleeping). The location is great for walking to dinner in either direction. We really liked the little BBQ restaurant right up the street. The fact that you have two parking spots off the street is a great plus. With a convenience store and liquor store right across the street, one couldn’t ask for more from a getaway spot. We look forward to returning next year.

My wife and I recently completed our first stay at this wonderful cabin in Minturn, CO. It was/is perfect for our needs. The location allowed us to ski Vail and BC after a short drive. We were also quite pleased with the convenience of simply walking to several great restaurants for dinner or lunch. We finally had to give up on finding a detail that hadn't been attended to with total solution. We'll definitely be back. Thanks Robin.

This is my 4th trip to your lovely cabin and again, very hard to leave this mountain hideaway. Cabin is perfectly appointed and very guest friendly. We love the welcome fondue and wine that is waiting for us when we arrive, and amazed how convenient Minturn is to everything including skiing Vail and BC! We enjoy all the extras that are included for cabin guests, and feel like it is our own personal vacation home! We look forward to our next stay, and will be in touch to book very soon!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was perfect for our group of two couples and my Golden Retriever. It is cozy, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day of skiing. The fondue and chardonnary were a great surprise! The only thing I'd add to the listing (if it's there I missed it) is that there's no oven but that's ok because the broiler in the toaster oven worked perfectly for our needs. Wow!! Just returned from a ski trip with my 23 yr old son and his buddy. The Minturn cabin was perfect for 3 guys - great location to ski different slopes, quick access to local restaurants and I-70, comfortable / private sleeping spaces for all 3, well equipped kitchen for those fatigued "stay at home" nights and a great price to fit the budget. And fantastic snow was, of coarse, guaranteed!! Thanks Robin....
