  What a beautiful condo and location! The condo was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The location offers the nicest hotel amenities, private beach, fishing docks, multiple restaurants, bars and shopping. The only time we needed our car was to grocery shop. My husband and I brought our college bound son and three of his friends and had a very special time. There was something for everyone! Can't wait to go back!!

  From the private beach to the cocktails by the pool, I loved everything about this place. The owner was very easy to work with and extremely accomodating. Being from Alabama, (Roll Tide!!!!) we go to this area quite often and we have found this place to be the best by far. Our unit was well maintained and very clean. Our unit looks out onto the bay which allows you to veiw a spectacular sunset on a daily basis!! The Emerald Grand is absolutely beautiful! From the workout facility to the bar at the pool it is first class all the way. In addition, the area just below the EG has really taken off. There are many new restaurants, shops, etc. One of the great things about the place was the private beach. A boat takes you there and drops you off anytime you wish. The crew will order you lunch and bring it to you as you sit under your umbrella!!They will also pour you a nice cocktail or offer you a beer! We'll be headed back to the EG in 2014! Our kids can hardly wait!!

  This was a great condo to stay in for me and my family. We enjoyed Beautiful sunsets from our balcony and good food just right downstairs from our room. We enjoyed are stay here so much we will definitely come back and stay here again!

  We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful condo! Not only was the condo in a great location, close to beaches, shopping, and restaurants, but the condo itself was in a great location within the building. We parked on the fourth floor beside the elevator, took a quick elevator ride down to third floor and found the unit to be situated within steps of the elevator. (No worries though. There is absolutely no noise from the elevator.) This location was so handy for carrying in luggage and was especially helpful with our grandson for bringing in his stroller, car seat, etc. The unit was professionally decorated, and we especially loved that we did not find any of the owner's personal items in the unit. However, the owner did have one closet with a few items, such as folding chairs, a sunbrella, etc., that we could have borrowed had we needed to do so. Everything was just as pictured on the website! The pool and private beach with the complimentary boatride was great, with beach towels provided at both locations. We loved walking to the shops and restaurants at the condo. The owner was easy to work with, and we had no problems. We would love to stay in this same unit again!

  Great condo for a great family vacation! Condo was clean and spacious. Easy access to the pool, lobby, boardwalk, spa and boat to the beach. Lots for the kids to do(ages 10, 11 and 13). Spa was amazing, with full work out area, steam room, sauna and yoga classes. Were definitely coming back!

  We just stayed there a few weeks ago. It was a great place. We had two couples comfortably stay there along with 4 kids. The 4 kids stayed in one room with no complaints whatsoever- they actually liked it. Great view of the bay. Very clean and well furnished. Although this was a condo, it has the services and amenities of a hotel- restaurant, poolside service, workout room, etc. The condo is also right by a boardwalk with plenty to do for adults and kids. My family has stayed at multiple places in the Destin area. This one was the best. We will be back next year.

  I just got back from springbreak & I loved this place. The owner was extremely accomodating & well versed in the operation and location of the facility. She threw out many local places to visit.....from restaurants, to pubs, to shopping. The unit was extremely clean and well maintained. The bed we slept in was unbelievably comfortable, we'd closed the heavy curtain and slept like babies all week long. Our kids loved the bunk room! The view of the sunset over Crab Island was spectacular!! We'd sit on our balcony facing the the Bay watching the sun slowely drop behind the horizone with a cocktail in hand each night!! I wish I was there right now. If you want a private beach, this is it!! Not only that, but a boat will take you their anytime you wish. The kids couldn't get enough of that. In addition, the mate on the boat, who is extremely friendly and accomodating would bring you lunch, c-tails, etc. The two beach workers were fantastic, always asking if you needed something, setting up chairs, umbrellas etc. As far as restaurants, we were told Dewey Destin's was it if you liked to rough it.....go there!!! You'll love it!! Pub life...McGuire's typical Irish Pub, which I love. And there are many location below the condo on the walk way which is just great. We loved this place and will go back there next year.

  I stayed in this unit with 3 guys on a golf trip. I found it to be a great place for our purpose and seemed that it would be great for families. 2 spacious bedrooms with King beds and 1 bunk room with 4 bunks. View is of Crab Island in the bay. The unit was in excellent shape. We went out in the evenings to the many restaurants and bars which are all easy walking distance from the condo. The Harborwalk and fishing boats are a great place to walk around and people watch. I would highly recommend for golfers or families and I plan on coming back (Kim is great to work with).

  I wouldn’t recommend this unit, if any of these reasons are important to you: View - This unit faces McGuire’s Irish Pub…not the water. The sound of cars is all you hear during the day. Sleep - McGuire’s has live music nightly and it kept all of us awake many of the nights we stayed (I have small children). If that isn’t enough, The unit is directly over the resorts dumpsters. At 4:30 or 5:00AM the dumpsters are emptied. Loud beeps from the truck and bangs from the dumpsters would wake us up at least every other night (or I guess morning). Clean – It was the most neglected unit that I have experienced in Emerald Grand. It was dirty, dusty, and caked dust along baseboards and in areas where there was no traffic. It was also full of items left by previous tenants. I am not meaning disgustingly dirty, but it was clear that the unit had not had more than a surface clean in a VERY LONG TIME. The manager was very nice but she seemed to know less about the unit and the resort than I did. She connected me with her cleaning crew manager that confirmed that the unit had never received a deep cleaning since he had been in charge of cleaning it. In the end, I wasted more than half a day, and I still was going to have to spend my 10 days in a dirty condo. We travel to Destin every year and have stayed at the Emerald Grand the last 2 years. We have 3 sets of friends that we vacation with, that also come to Destin and Emerald Grand every year. My point is…we as a group have stayed in MANY Emerald Grand units. This unit was not a good experience for my family and the other couple that joined us for part of the week. For us, it was all about expectations! The resort…as always, was great but I felt I had to write a review to make sure that no one else stayed without knowing what they were going to get.

  Owner response: Hello Potential Renters! I would like to clarify a few points in this review: 1. Our unit faces the bay, it does not face McGuire's Irish Pub. The units on the front of the Emerald Grande face McGuire's Pub and our unit is not on the front of the building. Please feel free to call the front desk and ask them which side of the building Unit 329W is on. It is on the West side of the building and not the north (facing McGuire's). 2. We have never had any complaints about music or "dumpster issues" before this guest. My only thought was that perhaps they were sleeping with the doors open. I am checking with building maintanance about the emptying of the dumpster to see when it is scheduled. 3. We have since hired new cleaners that are thorough and reputable. We have not had any cleaning issues since this guest left. 4. The "items" that were left were found by the guest behind the headboard of the bed and included two small items (a playing card and candy wrapper, I believe). 5. The condo was not dirty. This is an over-exaggeration of the situation with the biggest complaint being dust on the baseboards. We take great pride in our vacation home and appreciate your willingness to consider a fair response. Thank you! Kim Beach

  We stayed in this unit in July, 2010. We loved the spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit. the room was gorgeous and well maintained, and the property had so much to do! Our kids loved it here. A must do is crab Island! Rent jet skiis or a pontune boat.... and explore the bay for the day. It was awesome! Can't wait to come back again :) Enjoy! Amy in Ohio
