Beautiful, comfortable home in a wonderful location provided the ideal location for a visit to our son who lives in Minneapolis! Owner pleasant and responsive. Cousins joined us one evening for a birthday dinner for our son---easy for everyone to mingle. Would highly recommend!!

We had an amazing first trip to Minneapolis. The weather, house, and location were perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen, back porch, and back yard. Our kids loved the tv's, toys, bicycles, basement, and bedroom. Overall, it was an amazing family gathering full of laughs and great memories. We look forward to another visit soon:)

We had a vey good time in the house. We were 4 doctors from Argentina that were visiting the Abbot Northwestern Hospital. The owner is very kind and gentle and she fullfilled all the promises and offered. The house has 3 floors. The living room is warm and nice. The bedrooms are spacious and well decorated. The whole house is comfortable and well equipped with bicycles, full kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine (on the lower) 5 TV screens, The park is also very nice and very good to enjoy a barbacue. The neighborhood is beautiful and safety with the pretty Lake Harriet near the house and many stores, restaurants and cafes. I strongly recommend this option if you need housing in Minneapolis.

Upon first arriving and looking around, several people said "why would anyone ever agree to rent out this beautiful home". We had a lovely time staying in this home away from home in a convenient lovely neighbourhood with great shops and restaurants close by. Will not hesitate to stay here again in future. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! We just loved our stay at The Lake Harriet house. The photos at vrbo.com do not justfy how lovely this home is. We were 4 adults and 2 children visiting from Norway , and the house couldn't fit us in any better way. We had lots of space, and the house was neet and tidy and well organized, so keeping it emaculate for our own comfort was really easy. There were lots of toys and games for the children at the house, and a big back yard for to play soccer, golf, and other games. The location is just perfect, just a few blocks from Lake Harriet, which we loved, and right by Lynhurst Park- perfect for children. There was a little corner store right by the house, convinent but expensive. Several coffee places near by and a really good malt shop in easy walking distance. The process with Carolyn, owner, went super smooth all the way from our initial request, and all the way through our stay. We will definetly come back and stay at your place next time we visit Minneapolis, so we hope to see you then. Greetings from Norway På gjensyn

Perfect Weekend Away

Our family truly enjoyed our weekend away in this home. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable and extremely clean. In fact, it was the cleanest rental I've ever stayed at. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. She was always available to answer questions and her instructions were perfect. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend not just because of the kind owner and beautiful interior, but also because of the excellent location. My husband and I went to dinner at Piccolo, just down the street, and had one of the best meals of our lives, and the next morning, we drove a few miles to Black Bird Cafe and truly enjoyed our breakfast there too. We were able to pack in a lot of fun activities because we were close to downtown Minneapolis and great dining. My only wish is that is was summer, so we could have enjoyed the three season porch and beautiful back yard with our two children.

We stayed here several days recently, and found a beautiful, comfortable , immaculately clean,beautifully decorated, home. It is obvious the owner strived to think of everything you could, that may help make guests visit comfortable. The furniture is beautiful, we could not of asked for anything more. We enjoyed the food at PEARSON'S EDINA RESTAURANT 3808 West 50th St. It was wonderful and reasonably priced, carpeted, fire places,and nice decor, with excellent service.

I had never rented a house before, but this was such a pleasant experience! Now I'm afraid to rent anywhere else for fear that I was "spoiled" on this vacation. The owner is such a nice person and great to work with; the house itself was like a dream come true (in terms of decor, amenities, etc); and the location was perfect. My friends and I rented during the twin cities marathon and it was just an ideal situation - I mentioned several times over the weekend that if I can help it, I'll never stay at a hotel again! Being able to sit in the kitchen together rather than separate hotel rooms...saving money on food by eating at the house...free entertainment and wifi...I cannot stress enough that this "business" is beautifully run. Thank you so much!!!

My grown son and I spent a week in this lovely home. It is delightfully decorated and a destination in itself! It reminded me of visiting your favorite Aunt! It is spotless, and in excellent repair with every need anticipated. The kitchen is beautiful, the three bedrooms staged like a magazine photo shoot. My son especially enjoyed the downstairs TV/family room. It was a great spot to read, relax and watch movies. The laundry room is also a wonderful convenience. My morning coffee on the enclosed porch was a soul soothing getaway each day. The photos and the listing description are accurate and you will not be disappointed! This house is beautiful and spotlessly clean! From the photos and description in the ad we expected to have a nice place to stay for the weekend. But when we got there we found a beautiful home that far exceeded our expectations. The owner has thought of everything! The kitchen is FULLY equipped. You do not need to bring anything, it is all there and ready for your use. The backyard is amazing and the downstairs is a cozy room ready for kids to enjoy a vast array of video games. The location is convenient to everything, the airport, the university and downtown. We had a great experience and hope to return sometime in the near future.

I brought my staff to Minneapolis for a convention and we stayed at this beautiful home. The house was gorgeous and exceptionally clean. It had EVERYTHING anyone would need to make this a home away from home. The neighborhood is cozy, a great location. The drive to downtown Minneapolis was less than 10 minutes.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house while we were in Minneapolis visiting family. The owners have anticipated every need, making this a very comfortable home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything one would ever need for cooking and eating meals. The bathrooms have plenty of towels, soaps and other useful items one may have forgotten. Everything was spotless and the decor was beautiful. There were even had some holiday decorations put up for our stay! The location seemed very safe and we loved being able to walk down to the lake as well as the fabulous Malt Shop! Our children appreciated the toys that were provided at the house and we found the basement a wonderful room to for our young children to play.The owner was very quick with her responses and was great to work with in booking this trip. In the past we have stayed at various hotel suites with kitchenettes and we are so glad to have finally found a place to look forward to returning to with this Lake Harriet house.

The home was so welcoming! This was one of our best Christmas's. Everything was perfect. Comfortable beds and furniture, all of the amenities of home and more. Clear instructions to finding things, connecting to wireless, etc. Owner went out of her way to assit us in a successful and comfortable stay. Highly recommend this property. I joined my family the day before Thanksgiving at the Lake Harriet house. What a treasure! It was also nice to come to a home as opposed a hotel. We were able to entertain our somewhat extensive family and didn't spend near as much as going out for 3 meals a day. I would stay at this home again and I hope the State of Minnesota doesn't change the statutes that allow these types of rental. Keep up the good work!!!

My mother,two sisters and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this lovely home.We had been looking for a large,comfortable house where we could be near the lakes and walking paths and yet have easy access to the city.This house was perfect.It was even nicer than the website suggested.Carolyn was wonderful to work with and has filled this home with everything that anyone could want in a vacation home. It was clean and well-maintained and the kitchen-well I can't say enough about it. It was beautiful,easy to use and clean-up, and was modern without feeling sterile.We specially enjoyed hanging out at the counter. We really enjoyed our week together and this house was a big part of that. It was a perfect urban location with a suburban feel.I would not hesitate to rent here again.

My family (including 2 small children) had a fantastic stay in this Lake Harriet area home. Close enough to the lake for running, biking, swimming. 2 great playparks in walking distance. Close enough to Mall of America for shopping! And beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need including a s'mores pit in the lovely back garden. And the owner is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the property for 4 weeks with my family of four including two small children in summer 2009. We loved it so much we tried to come back last summer and were shattered that it was booked. The location is fantastic -- we went running around the lake, swimming with the kids, to Lake Harriet Bandshell, the Malt Shop and several other great restaurants not to mention great play parks, the list goes on. The kitchen was great, and the screen porch fantastic not to mention the back yard was great for bbq and s'mores. We truly felt like valued guests as so many small details were attended to and the owner was lovely to rent from.

This is our third vacation rental, and we were not disappointed in the property. A beautiful and relaxing home, the owner also provided plenty of linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner and other amenities. The updated large kitchen made it easy to cook meals and clean up. The grill was a great addition and we enjoyed playing in the backyard as well as relaxing in the back porch. The location was close to dining and relaxing at the lakes. An addition of a washer and dryer slated for July will be a welcome to renters.

We had such a wonderful stay in this vacation home. So many positives to list: the home is beautifully decorated, the location is ideal within walking distance to great walking around Lake Harriet, walking distance to great restaurants, the home has every ammenity possible from utensils in the kitchen to shampoos and conditioners. We rented this home for a graduation and found a gracious space with a lovely back yard -- something we were too busy to appreciate fully -- and welcoming rooms. The steepness of the stairs made our particular situation a little tricky since we had an elderly relative staying with us, but even so, we were able to make the space work for us. The host was exceptionally helpful with maps, information and suggestions. We would definitely recommend it to others and will suggest it as a place for friends to stay when visiting the Twin Cities...SO much nicer than a hotel!

My mother and uncles stayed in this lovely home and they thought it was nicer than a luxury hotel since the amenities surpassed their expectations. Being so close to beautiful sites such as Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Falls in addition to such hip coffeehouses and restaurants within walking distance only made it that much better. This was our first VRBO experience and I look forward to using it for my family on our next vacation if at all possible.

As others have said, this house is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. We especially liked the large yard where we could enjoy leisurely lunches outdoors. Another plus: The house is close enough to downtown Minneapolis that driving (or busing) there doesn't take forever, yet the neighborhood has a quiet, suburban feel. There's a wonderful coffee shop/ breakfast place just two blocks away and other shops 4-5 blocks distance. Be sure to check out the exceptional walking-biking path that connects green spaces throughout the city. Five of my family stayed here in order to attend a wedding and we all gave it thumbs up.

This home is lovely and inviting. From the first moment that I walked through the door till the moment that I left, I felt at home and comfortable. Located in the most perfect neighborhood of Minneapolis for walks to Lake Harriet for Jazz at the band shell to coffee at Java Jacks just a few blocks away. Don't worry about packing a thing, this house has everything that you could need during your stay. The home and yard are perfect for entertaining family and friends. My family stayed here for 5 days for a family event. The house is in a perfect location. Close to the Lakes, Close to some of the best Minneapolis restaurants (Heidi's) and grocery stores. Carolyn's house was a real find. We hosted a family reunion for about 40 people. The kitchen was superb (and fun) and the gorgeous terraced back yard was a perfect environment for three generations of family. The location couldn't have been better - close to one of the loveliest lake parks in the US (difficult for one coming from Seattle, the home of many Olmstead parks), good shopping (and don't miss Kowalski's Food Market), and lovely neighborhood restaurants and cafes. The decor is lovely and the house is truly welcoming. We will be visiting Minneapolis next year and Carolyn's house will be our home away from home.

This past Sunday, my family attended a brunch hosted by Carolyn at her lovely south Minneapolis rental home. Everything was perfect and the home is very warm and comfortable. Carolyn has a gift for design and comfort and attention to detail. After brunch we walked to Lake Harriet and walked around the lake = perfect! Her location is ideal - easy access to all the citys have to offer! I will definitely reccommend Carolyn's rental to friends and family coming to town!

Beautiful home! Very easy to find and good access to major roads. Everything was wonderful. The decorations and the close attention to the littlest details made our stay very comfortable. The jelly beans were an especially nice touch! We entertained one evening and everyone marveled at how beautiful the home is.
