This "wood home" as my grandchildren called it ,was fabulous for our family. The boys said they wished they could live there forever. I liked that each of our children could have their own floor for their family. It gave us all some privacy with our young grandchildren. The photos were great and seemed accurate. The views are spectacular. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching deer in the front yard and listening to the wind in the trees. We all could have stayed for days longer. The owner was helpful with questions and contacting us when we called/emailed. The game room was a hit with everyone. There are a lot of homey touches and the kitchen was well equipped and very easy to cook in. The price was very fair especially for this size of home. Duck Creek has a lot to offer for all ages and Bryce and Cedar Breaks were excellent field trips. Duck Creek has many interesting hikes and was definitely a good destination for our family. The lava rocks and lava fields were fascinating to us all. Bedrooms were well equipped and the bunk beds were loved by our little boys. This was our first experience with a rental home and it has so many advantages for family time over separate hotel rooms. We also found this to be a good value for our family. We are grateful for the happy family memories. We would love to return in the future. Stocking up for groceries in Cedar City was a good suggestion for our budget. I will definitely tell my friends about this rental home. Thank you for a very nice stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

An excellent retreat...clean...bright...well equipped...we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The only caution, be sure to have snow tires or chains if you're going to use this property during the winter months. The owner was very helpful in answering questions; the listing photos accreately reflect the property's appearance and amenities. I would definately recommend this property to a friend or relative.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Hi Tom, Glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your kinds regards and we look forward to having you back.

I don't know who stayed here before or prior to me, but we stayed at the cabin and had an absolutely great time. Everything was clean and didn't find anything out of working order. Property was as accurately described and was a beautiful cabin to stay in. The owners have a booklet filled with information and local brochures that were very helpful. I would absolutely come back up here and recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Duck Creek. Btw- the fishing up here was awesome, had alot of trout to fry! Also close to Bryce Canyon National Park.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

When we arrived the floors were not mopped, we used a wet paper towel to clean one area of the floor and the paper towel was black. We had babies that we DID NOT put on the floor. The sinks in the bathrooms would NOT drain. After you brushed your teeth it would take over 10 minutes for the sinks in the Master Bath to drain. The corners of the rooms looked like they had never been touched with a vacuum or mop. When you were upstairs you could see layers of dust on the beams. There were cob webs in the Master shower. We ran out of garbage bags and paper towels. The oven was disgusting, the lower cabinets had never been whipped out. We had kids who wanted to watch movies. non of the DVD players worked. We tried to call the owners but they DID NOT call back. We have stayed at other rentals that had instructions for all the tv and the remotes. Nothing like that here. The furniture was stained, I didn't even want to sit on it. When we arrived there was NO HOT WATER. We did all the things the paper said to do if this happened. Non of it worked. We had to turn up the temp on the water heater, even then if 2 people were showering at once there was NO water pressure and the hot water did not last long. Due to this we were an hour late leaving and so the owner kept our deposit. He also said that there were 2 extra people staying at the cabin.(which was NOT true) how would he know. No one ever came to do a roll call!! Another reason he said he was keeping the deposit. He then had the nerve to say the house was NOT clean (and was keeping our deposit), and the floors had mud on them. It NEVER RAINED. There was NO mud in that cabin. We left if EXACTLY as we found it. All dishes done, all towels cleaned, counters cleaned, everything put away. (My family are extreme CLEAN FREAKS) My Mom would never leave someone else house in worse shape than it was when we got there. I wasn't aware we needed to vacuum and mop. Thought that was the cleaning crews job (since we did PAY a cleaning fee). I think the cleaning crew was upset because we left a list (at their request) of items that needed addressing. Sounds like they didn't like our list and told the owner some LIES! We did have a dog that stayed outside and never once entered that house. The owner said we should have told them and paid a fee (in the rental agreement it seemed to me that you only needed to pay them if it was an indoor dog). Again, he said he was keeping the deposit. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.Owner response: Unfortunately, on occassion we have to retain a security deposit due to non-compliance with the rental agreement guidelines such as: Extra cleaning charges due to mud and gum on the floors, parties not checking out on time, having guests over 16 without permission and paying for the additional guest fee per night, and not having prior approval for pets and non payment of the stated pet fee. We are completely satified with our contracted cleaning company for the past 4 years. We have had the privledge to host over 100 rental parties that have actively enjoyed our cabin home for their weekend getaways, family reunions and vacations.

Reached Cabin around 1:00PM on Thanksgiving day. Driveway was totally snow packed. Found no shovel so all fours cars got stuck. There was no water in the cabin, tried every possible way and called every public service agency for help. Could not reach property managers at all. So we had Thanksgiving with absolutely no water and no toilets. Next day found a handyman who restored water supply by turning it on at the street. Fire place had so much soot that it had to be turned off after 15 minutes. Our faces and clothes turned black. Amenities are just o,k. If you take your pet, just forget about getting your deposit back no matter how much house trained your pet is.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: Unfortunately the previous renter turned the water off at the street and it snowed 3 feet right after and no one was available to remedy the situation on Thankgiving Day, however we refunded 90% of the rental fee for the inconvenience. If it was so bad I don't think they would have stayed the entire weekend. As for the pet deposit it is exactly what it is clasified as "Pet Deposit". We had to have the cabin carpets steam cleaned as a result of having a non-house trained puppy. The fireplace, it is a Gas fireplace and no combustable materials are supposed to put into it.

I have been going up to duck for about 15 years. I bring my kids with me everytime, and this was the best cabin I have ever been in. I have been in about 6 different cabins up there and the inside of this cabin is spectacular. The owner is very nice and cooperative with everything and made for a very good trip. We thank you for the use and will refer you and use you in the close future!!!!!!!!!!!!! To the 9'sssssOwner response: Scott, thanks for the positive feedback. I'm glad to hear you and your family had a great time. See you soon! Cabin Owner.

Our family (14 of us) had a wonderful time over the 4th of July at your cabin. Beautiful and very accomodating for all of us and our 2 dogs.
