As the apartment is on the ground floor, there is no direct sunlight, although there are 8 windows on the first floor. The loft is very cool in the summer and well insulated in the winter. And it is very calm and quiet-good for sleeping after those long days of sightseeing and shopping.
This Marais apartment is centrally located to the rest of Paris with the number 1 line across the street and numerous bus lines. Shopping couldn't be better-it is close to Gay Marais, the Rues Francs Bourgeois and Charlot, in the Haute Marais-with its small intimate boutiques and galleries. The Jewish, Picasso, Beaubourg and Carnavalet Museums are a 5 minute walk away.
