Cala Lily Cottage at China Grove Plantation sleeps 4-5 and features a separate guesthouse that can accommodate 2 more. Beautiful ocean-toned furnishings create an atmosphere so tranquil you will never want to leave. Ceiling fans in every room, separately zoned central air and heating systems, and a gas fireplace keep guests comfortable. The vaulted cathedral ceiling in the great room, which opens to the kitchen, allows everyone to visit as meals are prepared, while listening to their favorite background music on the Bose surround-sound system. The kitchen boasts new appliances and lots of amenities.
The upper level bedroom features a king bed, as well as a very large window seat perfect for curling up with a book—or for the night. The main floor bedroom (queen bed), with its private bath suite, includes a shower and separate soaking tub. The separate guesthouse is set up for entertaining, with a game table, TV/DVD, stereo system, refrigerator. The guesthouse sofa, with large cushy pillows, converts to a comfortable queen-sized bed for guests who want a private spot steps away from the main home. My husband and I took my mom,dad and two sons, and stayed here for a week. Aside from some small problems that the owner took care of right away, we had the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation ever. The place was clean, the grounds were perfect, and the area is amazing. Taking fairies to different destinations was a lot of fun and within 30 minutes you can do pretty much anything you want and still come back to an amazing, peaceful property. We will go again.

We escaped the New York holiday scene for the peace and quiet of the Inner Banks. Cala Lily was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Our family has been renting coastal homes in the vicinity of Oriental for the past four years and this cottage is by far the most well appointed home we've stayed in. The morning sunrise walks to the point and the sunset toasts on the porch make Cala Lily truly a special place. We are already planning our next visit!

I stayed at Cala Lily cottage for a week in the Spring. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It has a very homespun beach feel to it. The view is spectacular of the Neuse River and I thoroughly enjoyed watching as kayakers and sailors moved up and down the river as I sat on the pier out the front door.I loved the fact that I could walk out the front door and be at the pool.The pool itself was extremely clean. The town of Oriental is a quick drive and quaint.I enjoyed having coffee in the morning at the locals place.The people were extremely friendly.The weather was beautiful for April although evenings were cool light jacket weather. I would go back in a heartbeat.
