What a wonderful month we have spent at the idyllic Sombrero Peak casita of Chris and Roger Wallace, our very genial hosts! It has exceeded all our expectations! The cozy casita, tucked into the edge of the desert, is exquisitely decorated with a south-west flair, and has every possible feature one could want. The spacious patios are great vantage points for the daily visits from the Gambel's quail, rabbits, the many birds fluttering around the fountain, and for savouring the views of the desert vegetaion, the mountains and the magnificent sunsets. Just a few minutes from I -10, this tranquil casita is conveniently situated near all the amenities, downtown and other points of interest. We certainly plan to return next year!

We stayed at Sombrero Peaks this fall after having had a great stay there 2 years ago. It was just as wonderful this time!! Location has excellent access to Tucson and to the Saguaro Nat. Park. It is an amazingly quiet location, and so comfortable and peaceful that just hanging around the casita all day can be a vacation in itself. Also excellent if you want to either hit a local restaurant or perhaps head for the grocery and cook at the casita.

We were at the casita in November and the pictures are absolutely true, this is just a magical location. You are close to Saguaro Natl park, my husband biked the numerous bike lanes from the house throughout Tucson, and we loved our walks in the neighborhood to the Saguaro Natl park which is right outside the door. Nature is all around you, both Chris and Roger are wonderful hosts. The casita is just beautiful, we have such wonderful memories of our golfing outings, visiting with friends and visiting the downtown Tucson area for theatre and dining. This is one GREAT place to visit.

The casita was just right for our 2 month stay. Chris and Roger were very friendly and helpful. They respected our privacy but were available to assist us in any way, if needed. The kitchen, eating area and living area were open and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was fabulous! The outdoor area was proivate and just perfect for late afternoon wine. Shopping is very convenient. We liked Sprout's, Sunflower, Trader Joe's and Frye's for groceries. Try the Hacienda Del Sol for dinner and drinks on the patio. It is just charming and the flowers and decor will draw you back. We loved Tucson. Chris and Roger are two of the reasons we will return.

We had a delightful 2+ weeks at Sombrero Peak Casita. Roger and Chris Wallace were wonderful hosts and provided all the amenities possible. There are two lovely patios by the pool and fountain to relax , read and enjoy for cocktails. The casita was immaculate and well equipped. While it seems you are way out in the desert the 10 freeway is very close by and there are markets and small malls within 5 minutes. Excellent restaurants and shopping were 5-15 minutes away. We hope to return next year and would recommend Sombrero Peak Casita to anyone seeking a relaxing, homey vacation.

This casita was all it was promised to be and even better than it looks in the pictures. Roomy, clean, and well-decorated, it also has a huge patio that looks out on the beauty of the desert in a neighborhood of carefully spaced apart homes. The only noise was the sound of birds. The owners were extremely helpful, accommodating and personable. We would not hesitate to recommend this place!

The Casita was really an excellent place, particularly for just the 2 of us. It had all the amenities you could want and the location, landscaping and view were excellent. It was quiet and peaceful and of course had terrific sunsets. Kitchen, bathroom all seemed new and very well kept...great place for doing your own meals. Sitting out on patio in sun was wonderful. Shopping was close by and it was an easy drive to the city, also great location for day trips to parks and other nature adventures. Owners house is on property (which is a plus) but the Casita seems secluded and access to pool in warm weather is great. Owners were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to any mature couple...we hope to have a chance to return.

We absolutely loved this little house and stayed six weeks. It's comfortable, nicely furnished, great little kitchen with eating counter, two covered patios to dine on, and a wonderful concrete play area for our grandchildren when they visit. Though unheated, I swam almost every day during October in a beautiful pool enjoying the blue skies, and enjoyed sunning and reading on the patio. Beautiful bathroom and shower which accomodated my husband with mobility problems. The owners are gracious and helpful and made our stay especially nice. We really liked being adjacent to desert and the privacy this afforded us. Located near parks, grocery stores, library, and our daughter and family, we found this to be the perfect place to relax. I will probably stay here in the future if available. I highly recommend this little home away from home.

We found the Casita to be all we could hope for. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The outdoors seating/eating areas were nicely located for all times of day. Chris and Roger were very friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the setting, backing up to open desert and the fact that we were NOT in a gated community. The location was handy to golf, restaurants, hiking and scenic drives. We enjoyed going down town and to the university. All in all, a great experience.

The representations on this listing are totally accurate. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Tucson area that seems too good to be true - we found it at the Sombrero Peak Casita. The casita sits in the chaparral away from the city. It is very quiet and restful. While we were outside a bobcat ran across the property. It is very comfortable, exquisitely decorated and furnished for every need. The casita is conveniently located near golf courses, small shopping centers, Saguaro Natl Park and other points of interest. We truly enjoyed our stay and Chris & Roger's warm hospitality.
