4 couples made this our home for a week. Clean well managed and within driving of all the golf we could play. Disappointed that the golf courses were not open at this location. Shanks for the memories as Bob Hope would say

We stayed here over spring break and had a wonderful time. We have a 6 year old and a 13 year old and they both enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All the rooms had flat screen t.v's which was great since the two boys don't watch the same programs. The home is so beautiful and very quiet! I loved going for a walk in the mornings around Lake Las Vegas...very peaceful. Would definitely stay here again if we have another opportunity!

We stayed over x-mas with my 2 daughters and their husbands and had a great time. Nina's house was perfect for us with everybody having their own room and the great room was a great place to hang out. The location was perfect, just 30 mins to the strip and 30 seconds to Montelago Village. Nina was very pleasant to work with and we will definitely stay there again. Our only minor concern was the stained carpet but that will not change our minds about going back. This is a must stay.
Owner response:Thanks for the great review!! We were at our home over New Years Eve, noticed the stained carpet and have already replaced the carpeting with beautiful new wood floors.

We rented the house for almost a week and had a great time. My 1 and 3 year olds loved swimming in the pool, which has a large 1' deep section. The house is immaculate. Pleanty of room to play. The house is close to the lake and only a couple of miles from grocery stores. Downtown Las Vegas is also only about 20 minutes away. Nice safe gated community as well. Can't wait to stay again!

If you have a family, you can't do better than this rental, also perfect for 2 couples to share as it has a separate casita with it's own bathroom and sink. All rooms have flat screen tv's, the backyard is a beautiful place to relax in the pool or spa.

We stayed here while vacationing at Lake Mead with our teen kids and their friends. Property is clean, quiet, well decorated and very comfortable with plenty of space. The only negative was I couldn't get the wi-fi to work. The entrance to Lake Mead is only a 10 minutes drive and Lake Mead Marina about 25 minutes. Excellent alternative to a hotel. Thanks Nina.

My wife and I stayed at Nina's property for a month, and had a wonderful time. Although the house was larger than we needed, it was nice to have so much room, all on one level. The area is beautiful, neat, and quiet. Nina and the local maintenance staff were extremly accomodating during our stay, taking care of anything that needed attention. This property was well appointed, with beautiful furniture and decorating. The master bed was softer than we like, but we recognize that everyone's likes are different. Also, we would have liked to have had a barbeque to use. Our thanks to Nina for allowing us to enjoy her wonderful property.

We stayed at this fantastic home with our parents. It was so much better than the pictures led us to believe. The house was very clean and well maintained and for once we even had our own "pool boy". Life doesn't get any better than that. There was lots of room so no one was in "the way". It is a great property for older folks - all on one floor, but it would be suitable for anyone who wants to be close to Vegas but want some R&R too. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the hot tub. The kitchen had everything that you would need including packs of coffee until you could make it to the grocery store. The reason we chose the villa was because the owner was the only owner to contact us by phone with lots of helpful hints for things to do, shows to see and informaiton about the house. All the other owners just e-mailed back to us which we appreciated but the personal touch made a huge difference. We would definately recommend this property to friends or family. In fact, we loved it so much we tried to purchase one down the street that was identical (but sold). Vegas is close by but there are closer casinos in gambling is your main goal. There is a really cute museum close by - Clark County Museum - that is easy to get around for older folks but would be enjoyed by anyone.

This was a wonderful experience. We three retired couples had a lovely time in your home. We found it very welcoming and well equiped. It was a great place to return to after a day on the strip or at the car racing event we attended. We really enjoyed the beautiful resort even if it was not all up and running. Our hope is that on our next trip everything will be back to normal there and for our Country. Because we were away from the strip we got to see some of the outskirts of Vegas which were very enjoyable also. Thank you Nina, for allowing us to rent your beautiful home. Kerl, Kohler and Kerl

we are three couples who travel together on vacations from alabama, this home is the best we have rented, everything was just as described, very quiet neighborhood, just far away from the strip yet close to hoover dam and lake mead. the pool was nice but could have used some instructions on how to operate the controls ,all the beds were comfy except maybe the master bedroom needs replacing. the kitchen was great and the casseta was a nice feature all tvs were great.and the unit was nice and clean. we do advise you pay extra for heated pool. we all would highly recomend this home. don and pat powers

We enjoyed our stay at this Lake Las Vegas home. The house was beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing. This was a perfect way to unwind after spending a few days on a houseboat at Lake Mead. I highly recommend this home and will stay there again during future visits to the area.

I recently stayed at this home with my fiance, my 2 kids and my brother's family. First of all, the house is gorgeous anf the neighborhhod is very clean and quiet. We were very pleased with the way the house looked from the second we checked in - beautiful furniture, everything you could need, roomy and cozy. Even with 8 of us in the house, we all had plenty of room and plenty of privacy when we needed it. The master bedroom has a very roomy bathroom with separate showers, a huge tub, and his/her sinks. No tripping over each other to get ready to go out! The pool/jacuzzi area is very nice and the lights and waterfall add to the atmosphere. The lake is very close to the house and we were able to watch a great fireworks show on the 4th. Each and every one of us was pleased with our decision to choose this property and have all agreed we will go back One last note - Nina is a true pleasure to work with. She is very well at communication, and is really concerned about the guests enjoying their stay. Thank you!

While our son and daughter-in-law experienced their first trip to Las Vegas, by staying on the Strip, myself, husband and other son decided to stay away from the Strip (it was our third visit to LV) and after much research, I found this house and I am so glad that I did! We enjoyed a most relaxing time at this house, which is beautifully furnished and extremely spacious and comfortable. In particular, we loved the pool and spa - the changing colours and waterfall adding to our enjoyment. The house is only about a twenty minute drive from to and fro the Strip and, although there are some roadworks, they are not a problem and easily negotiable. In the near vicinity are plenty of shopping areas with Walmart, Target and many fast food restaurants. Nina was a pleasure to communicate with - always ready and willing to answer questions quickly. All in all, we had a perfect time at this comfortable house, which is in a safe and tranquil setting. We wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend wholeheartedly to others. Thank you, Nina.

I would recommend this home to any vacationers desiring to have an 'away from the strip' stay. The home was very comfortable and nicely furnished. Beautiful neighborhood and nicely landscaped. The back yard and pool were so relaxing and we really enjoyed the spa. Nina was a pleasure to work with. The economic challenges have not been kind to Lake Las Vegas. We had golfed at Lake Las Vegas a few years ago and it was disappointing to see the golf courses closed along with the on site casino. Also, Lake Mead Parkway had quite a bit of construction and for those unfamiliar with the markings in construction zones in Vegas (which are far less direct that in Illinois), traveling late at night was a challenge initially. Also, the house does not have a gas grill only charcoal.
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words. There are two golf courses available to vacation guests, South Shores and Tuscany. The Village has many stores, restaurants and lake activities. The construction on Lake Mead Parkway will be done shortly and the widening of the road will be a great asset to the community.

We could not have had a better place to stay. It is very spacious but cozy. We were a group of 4 couples and we each had our privacy and were also able to enjoy everyone's company. Great kitchen for preparing meals and entertaining. The home offers more than the photos show and it must be experienced to truly understand. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to be able to return ourselves. Thank you.

We really enjoyed your home and its location. The home is well appointed and furnished like a model home. My son and his wife, my mother, and my husband and I stayed for three days. The layout of the rooms allowed for privacy for all of us. We were there to see my son compete in the Lake Las Vegas Xterra Triathlon. We were able to walk to the start and transition areas very easily. Lake Las Vegas is a beautiful location with stunning desert mountains as a backdrop. If you want to bike, run, swim, or hike you are as close to a number of venues. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and relaxing atmosphere. If you want to go to the Strip it is only a short drive. We would certainly consider staying in your home again on our next visit to Las Vegas.

As one of four couples who choose a new and unique New Years Celebration destination each year, we chose Nina Malone's Lake Las Vegas Home for ringing in 2010. We were pleasantly surprised by its overall warmth and comfort, combined with the unique surroundings of desert mountains, golf courses, Lake Village shops, restaurants, and a Casino. This particular home was selected by our special group as one of their favorite accommodations over the past 15 years. I have already alerted friends & family to the value of this wonderful retreat! Thanks for the memories!

We have rented vacation homes all over the country. A few descriptions were "embellished". If anything, the description of this rental is way understated and the photos do not do it justice. It is located in Lake Las Vegas, about a 30 minute drive east of McCarren airport in Henderson. Although the development is in financial re-organization, all of the properties are maintained to the highest of standards. On-site properties include a Ritz Carlton and a Lowes hotel. There is also a casino, the MonteLago adjacent to the Ritz, about a 3 minute drive from the home. The development is divided into small "neighborhoods". Each one is individually gated so privacy and security is assured. The development is in the "mountains" (by Vegas standards) offering some beautiful views from various vantage points. There are 3 golf courses under development, but they are not open (at least during our visit). About the house. The pictures do not do it justice. It is very open and welcoming. Granite counter tops throughout. Beautiful, high end furnishings. Wonderful beds. Flat screen monitors throughout the house. Huge master bedroom with dual sink bath. The second bedroom has twin beds and its own flat panel with adjoining bath. A third bedroom is smaller, (the room may have been originally designed as a den) but has a large comfy bed. The kicker! There is a "casita" or small free standing house adjacent to the main home divided by an outside lounge area. It has a queen sized bed, wet bar, flat panel monitor, and bath with a tub/shower. This makes the home perfect for 6-8 people, allowing for privacy. The kitchen is to die for. Open design with granite island/breakfast bar. High end stainless steel appliances. Lots of dishes and glassware of all sizes (including wine and cocktail glasses). Wide variety of pots and pans. High end cutlery. The dining area is equipped with a high profile table and comfortable seating for eight. The entire home was spotless. Nina's cleaning crew is way above average. Tons of towels and linens. Extra pillows. Laundry/dishwashing soaps provided. Many vacation rentals just give you the bare necessities. Not here. This is akin to staying at a resort. The pool and hot tub (with waterfall) are individually controlled with beautiful underwater lighting and a lounge area. Look no further. This home has everything. Beauty, privacy, security and above all, value. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

The house was perfect for our needs. We had a young child and the single floor layout was perfect. The house had everything we could possibly need and was accessible to everything from shopping, casinos, biking, golfing, and 'the strip'. It was comfortable and very clean two non negotiable for us. We had my parents with us as well and it was roomy enough that you could have 4 adults and not feel on top of each other. We would not hesitate to visit again. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a little oasis in the middle of Las Vegas!
