This is a beautiful, spacious, well-maintained vacation home with a lovely marsh view . . . we especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching large, white-winged egrets from the balcony in the evenings. Our family of 8 (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 1 auntie, 1 uncle and 2 children under age 6) stayed there for a week. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable week. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, dishes and all the necessary utensils which meant that we didn't have to eat out all the time -- a real plus when you have a lot of people to feed. The kitchen also had a good dishwasher and a garbage disposal -- no lingering food odors during hot summer months! All of the bedrooms well-appointed -- we particularly enjoyed having a quiet overhead fan in our bedroom. We also enjoyed having a reasonably-sized swimming pool available to us . . . sometimes you just want a quick dip in the pool without having to pack up and go to the beach. The children in our group especially enjoyed having a miniature golf course across the street from the house . . . the miniature golf facility also included a video game room and an ice cream parlor. What more could any child (and some adults!) ask for? All said, it would be hard to find a nicer vacation home anywhere in Myrtle Beach. Book a week and ENJOY!

My family greatly enjoyed their stay at this home. The nearby beach was well-maintained and we had some delicious pizza on the beach from one of the close restaurants. We had many laughs with the kids in the pool. I appreciated the size of house- the was plenty of room for everyone to have their own quiet time to read, nap or play games. My kids also enjoyed the mini-golf and quarter arcades. While we were driving away they asked when we were coming back!

Family Reunion

My family & I vacationed here from the Midwest & East Coast. We're all super busy and decided to have a little reunion in Myrtle Beach. This was the perfect spot & the house made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. My brother's 2 kids who are under 5 LOVED the pool & swam in it multiple times a day. Although it is a bit chilly at first glance, this was actually ideal, because we would jump in after coming back overheated from a long day at the beach. The beach is walking distance & tons of fun. I would recommend renting a golf cart just to make hauling your beach stuff w/you easier (esp. if you have little ones!). There are rentals right down the road. The house is spacious and we had plenty of room. The open lay out is great for gathering together & cooking big meals. There are multiple balconies all over the house which is so peaceful for reading a book or having a glass of wine. We did multiple loads of laundry in their washer/dryer which was perfect before we headed back on the long drive home. The area itself has many activities and things to do from Broadway on the Beach to Barefoot Landing. I took my nieces and nephews just down the road to a little local carnival & the new board walk. Also, there is a mini golf place literally across the way from the house & kids under five golf free. Lastly, the owners are great, attentive, and take care of the place. We will be coming back again in the future.

Vacation 2011

We arrived on June 11th, The Cherry grove beach was good. We were disappointed in the house it was dirty when we got there and the carpets need cleaned. Also the the jetted tub never worked the hammock was too low to lay in and the pool was to cold to swim in with the covered area. We would visit the area again but a different location for staying.

In response to your concerns, I am sorry you found the house uncleaned. The house was cleaned by cleaning professionals immediately before your arrival and I will speak to them about your concerns. As you know, much of downstairs is hardwood floors. We regularly clean the rugs on the stairs and bedrooms and will do so again. We were unaware that the jetted tub was not working. It is something that could have been easily fixed during your stay if it was brought to our attention. The pool heats up nicely during the summer. We don't use the hammock so we were unaware that it was too low. We will try to raise it or remove it. Thanks again for your comments. Sandy and Bill

We had a great time at the house. It was nicely decorated and comfortable for all of us. The beach was beautiful and the water was warm - even though it was just the beginning of June. We were in walking distance to restaurants, miniature golf and a must for the summer - an ice cream stand!

I stayed here with 12 women for a bachelorette weekend. The home was super spacious and had plenty of bathrooms for 13 ladies to get ready in a comfortable environment. The house was decorated really well which made for a relaxing atmosphere. The view of the Marsh was great and we have many pictures with that in the background. The beach was within walking distance with stores and restaurants on the way.

Great house - very spacious!

This house is beautiful and has tons of room to spread out and relax! It is 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, so it can fit lots of people. We went with a bunch of girlfriends, but it could also be great for multiple couples or families. The house is really nicely decorated and furnished and well maintained. There are multiple balconies attached to the bedrooms to sit out and enjoy the air. There is a small outdoor pool at the house, which is ideal for small children; probably too small for adults to use much, but the beach is just a few blocks down the street! There is also a grocery store a block away to stock up the kitchen. If you just want to have a relaxing time and mainly go to the beach and hang out at house, you probably don't need a car. If you want to explore all of Myrtle then you might want to drive/rent one. It is also very easy to get a cab from the airport to the house. We had a great time and felt right at home in this place. I would highly recommend it!

I stayed here with a group of friends for a girls weekend this past May and the property is gorgeous! There was plenty of space for all of us (13 women) to sleep comfortably, and not only that, the property was very well equipped and well furnished with close proximity to the beach and local restaurants. All in all, its a great place to stay with plenty of room...comfortable, clean digs for a weekend of fun and sun in North Myrtle!

This place was so great! I went with a group of my girlfriends, and this was the perfect spot! Walking distance to the beach, a private pool, and 2 decks overlooking the marsh-a perfect place for a relaxing Sunday morning with the paper! There was plenty of space for all of us, and then some! I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing beach stay!

Spacious & Stunning Vacation Home-Steps from the Beach!!

We rented this house in April 2010. The house is ideal for a group or family vacation. I was amazed when I walked inside. The house is situated off from the main road on a quiet street, which is nice. It backs up to a peaceful marsh. You can sit on the balcony and have coffee/read the paper while looking out at the marsh.... very relaxing! I had a reunion with old friends and we decided to head to Myrtle Beach to all meet. The house is perfect for a group or family. There are five spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms. We had 12 total people this particular weekend. Everyone felt comfortable. Each room is decorated beautifully. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms/kitchen are updated and new. The first floor has a huge open kitchen that leads into a family room. A bedroom, laundry room, and bathroom are also situated off the kitchen. Downstairs is a private pool; great spot to take a dip before heading to the beach. The beach is an only steps away. Shops/restaurants are also nearby. We spent our weekend cooking, sitting on the back porch, walking to the beach, and relaxing together in the family room. The spot was great! We plan on going back next summer. The owner is really nice, organized, and efficient. We wish we could have stayed longer!

What a lovely house! The inside was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. My wife, 18 month-old daughter and I had a great time in the place. We only took up 1/5 of the available room, really. We also had family over, and enjoyed the big living room and tv. You need a car, but you would anywhere in Myrtle Beach. Pretty close to everything. About 10 minutes drive to Tanger outlets and other shopping to the south, and about 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the beach. Golf courses are everywhere nearby.

I have a constantly growing family, so when we look to rent a vacation house we have to look LARGE. Marsh Pointe was pefect. The elevator was great for members of the family who can't climb up and down stairs. All of the rooms were nice and well decorated, as well as the common areas. We hsd a problem with the TV one day and someone was out the same day to take care of it. My only negative is that the pool is tiny and because it is covered, it stays VERY cold. So I definitely wouldn't plan on swimming your morning laps here, but the beach is just a short walk/ drive down the road. I highly recommend this property. By the time we left, we wanted to by one for ourselves.

WE ARRIVED SATURDAY 8/16/2008 AND JUST AS WE SAW IN THE ADVERTISEMENT OF THIS PROPERTY IT WAS THAT AND MORE.THIS VACATION WAS MY WIFES LAST REQUEST BECAUSE SHE WAS GIVEN 6 MONTHS TO LIVE IN FEB 08. SHE ENJOYED THE MASTER BATH WITH THE JACUZZI AND SHOWER ALSO THE RELAXING SOUNDS COMING FROM THE MARSH.BEIMG ABLE TO TRANSPORT HER FROM FLOOR TO FLOOR WAS A PLUS IN THE ELEVATOR.AFTER LEAVIMG THIS VACATION MY WIFE SAID TO NUMERO7US PEOPLE THAT IF THEY PLANNED A VACATION THAT THEY WOULD LOVE WHERE WE STAYED AT THE PALMETTO VACATION HOUSE AND DONT PUT OFF TODAY BECAUSE TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED.WE WILL ME AND MY FAMILY COME HERE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR IN MEMORY OF HER LIFE .SHE PAST AWAY 1 MONTH AFTER THIS VACATION.
