This is a beautiful property in an ideal location. It was by chance we were blessed to stay here. I planned a trip to the Big Island to tag along with my husband to his conference which was being held at the Hapuna Beach Prince. After purchasing pricey plane fare, car rental and flying childcare to South Dakota to watch the kids, we found that the Hapuna apparently made a big mistake and gave away our rooms in the middle of our stay. OOPS. They informed us that they really couldn't help with accomodations on the two nights that were given away. In fact, every hotel room down the coast was booked by one European company for that time period. (Oh, there's more to this story..) Panicking, I scoured VRBO.com and ran across this property and sent out my plea for mercy...though I was not hopeful as most properties on the Big Island require a 3 night minimum. Helen responded promptly with this property being available. I cried. This property is nestled on the coastline, a short walk away from the Hilton Waiakoloa. It is immaculately maintained, quiet and beautiful. This particular condo has an oceanfront location which I found priceless. I spent hours watching the whales breach and jump. Things that I loved about this property: It boasts a dream kitchen, beautifully decorated interior, immaculately clean, "to die for" comfortable master bed, and fantastic owners who kept us informed and answered all of our questions. The only downfall I can find is that the Hali'i Kai does not have a sand beach. This was not a problem for us, however, as we spent the two days hiking to beaches on the island. Since our stay was so very short, we didn't swim in the pool next door but we did enjoy a drink at the pool bar and watched the whales. The gym was lovely. It was supplied with quality equipment, tv's and ocean front view. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting something extra special as opposed to the average cramped hotel room. Thank you , Helen and Ed!!

We found this unit on VRBO. The owner was very responsive and helpful during the planning of the trip. The unit itself was very clean, brand new, had phantastic views, clearly the best location in Hali i'kai as it's on the ground floor, ocean front and close to the pool/restaurant/gym. Beaches are a short drive away and there are plenty of restaurants close by. The airport is 30 minutes away and Kona is about 45 minutes away. We would go back anytime and I can highly recommend this property!

It is true, the view is amazing. Nothing better than eating on the lanai and watching the waves crash against the rocks. The unit is well decorated and had all the amenities needed for a lengthy vacation. Location is ideal as it is next door to the pool which our son loved and an easy 10 minute walk to the Hyatt if you are looking to shop around or just watch the dolphins. The pool is great for young children and the poolside food is remarkably good. There are several beaches within a 3 to 15 minute drive. Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach (our two favorites) are approximately 15 minutes away. Would recommend to any family and we will definitely come back again.

This was the nicest property we've ever stayed at - condo, hotel, resort or otherwise. Wonderful view, terrific condo that is fully stocked with anything you'd ever need to relax, hang out and cook (with sub-zero fridge & wolf appliances). The pool area is amazing. Oh - and an owner who is incredibly easy to work with. We'd love to come back. Thanks!

This was a great vacation. The accommodations were amazing, exactly as they appear on the website. The views from the lanai are incredible, the location convenient and the whale watching second to none! It is obvious that the owners take enormous pride in their home and they make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I hope to come back next year. KP

We had a fabulous stay in this condo over Christmas 2008. The property was immaculate and had absolutely the best location within Hali Kai. The owner checked in with us just after we arrived to ensure that we were happy and answer any questions we had about the area. Great stay!

We stayed in this villa the week of July 28, 2008. It exceeded our expections in every way. The villa was nicely furnished, had all the gadgets and amenities we needed to cook and be comfortable, and best of all, the views were awesome. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the Ocean Club and the food served was very good. This was a great alternative to the hotel resorts nearby - and much more economical for our family. Helen made the arrangements easy for us, and was helpful in suggesting restaurants and other attractions. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends who plan to visit the island.

This villa is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly ask for to make your vacation more comfortable. From the beach bags to the flowers on the lanai, the owner makes certain you feel this is a home away from home. Knowing that we had such a roomy and comfortable abode to return to every night made our vacation all the more enjoyable. Not only is the entire community beautiful, but I don't think you could find a safer place to stay. Many other condominium communities have problems with robberies; this condo is on the first floor and the entire community is extremely safe with a guard and gates. If you truly want to remember your visit to Big Island this is the place to stay. The owners are kind and courteous and extremely reliable and the condo itself is the cleanest you could possibly find. It was a welcome gift to walk barefoot (as we do in our home) and to know that the owners kept the place as clean as we would ourselves. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we hope to return soon!

This is a beautiful resort and this condo is amazing. It is beautifully furnished and in the perfect location at Hali'i Kai. The ocean view is unobstructed and it's in the building right next to the pool (but not too close that you hear any noise). The pool area is beautiful and its so convenient to have the restaurant right there as well. We stayed in Kolea last year, but thought Hali'i Kai was better because you are right up on the ocean. We highly recommend this condo - you won't be disappointed!

This is an Amazing Condo, perfectly appointed with beautiful furnishings and located as close as you can get to the Ocean. Best part is watching whales jump out of the water right in front of our living room. It is a ground unit however we did not hear any noise from above. We used club house BBQ to cook located 2 doors down. Beautiful Grocery store 6 miles away in Wiakoloa Village. Cook all your meals in the Condo. Kitchen is completely set up. Skip Roy's Restaurant. Walk to Hilton's Hotel next door for fun. You won't be sorry renting this Deluxe Condo. Spend the extra money to get this ocean front view with spectacular sunsets.

This truly was a beautiful place to stay for our Hawaiian vacation. The villa was tastefully decorated, beds were comfortable, and the view was spectacular. A true taste of Hawaii. We did not want to leave the place as everything we wanted was right there. Besides the beautiful view from the living room and the master bedroom, the club area was right next door. Talk about tropical paradise!!!! I would recommend this gem of a place to anyone seeking a true ocean front experience, (not just an ocean view.) I just hope the next time we want to come back, the place is not booked!!
