Sit on the deck and watch our Alpaca graze - Texas Lodging ****This Property is Under Construction***** When it is finished you can look forward to finding that perfect Get Away! The Hide Out is located on the top of a gently, sloping hill overlooking Lake Corpus Christi, about 4 miles from Mathis, TX on 30.29 acres and about 1/4 of mile from the main house at Gulf Breeze Alpaca Ranch. Newly remodeled, it has one bedroom with a pillow-top kingsize bed and large armoir. The living room is comfortable and includes an Entertainment Center with a LCD TV with Satellite. You'll need to bring your cell phone because there are no landlines to the Hide Out. The Hide Out has a fully equipped Galley Kitchen; range, microwave and fridge, and all the cookware you will need. Enjoy your downtime or grill your dinner on the covered deck as you watch the sun set over the lake. You can relax and watch grazing Alpaca from the main house or just take a leisurely stroll through the farm. We'll even let you help out! We are located along the migratory route of many, many birds and butterflies! We have birding books and binoculars available for our guests. Lake Corpus Christi State Recreation Area is only a few minutes drive. The area boasts fishing, boating & skiing and swimming activities. While the Hide Out is not located with lake front, there is lake access very close by or you may use the facilities as the Recreation Area. The city of Corpus Christi is only 30-40 minutes by car. Once there you will find plenty of shopping & dining opportunities as well as finding all the popular attractions (USS Lexington Museum, Texas State Aquarium, Whataburger Field, etc). From the Hide Out, San Antonio is slightly less than 2 hours drive north on IH 37. There's plenty to do for all ages!
