Enjoy ocean views from around the property as you stroll through fruit orchards and landscaped grounds. Watch the spectacular surf on deserted, white sand Aliomanu Beach, which is only a short walk from your cottage. Relax in the pool, complete with waterfall and separate hot tub. Centrally located, Anahola is an easy drive to water-skiing and kayaking on the Wailua River; Kapaa shopping and restaurants; the Kilauea lighthouse; and the magic of Hanalei Bay. The cottage's kitchen contains a refrigerator, ice maker, coffee maker, microwave, sink and dishes; but not a stove.

  • This cottage was the perfect base for the Kauai portion of our honeymoon in Hawaii. The central location was convenient for outings to either the north or south sides of the island. The cottage and grounds are both beautiful and comfortable, and a delightful place to come back to after a long day of exploring (especially the spa, which came in handy after a long hike in Waimea Canyon!). Our host was gracious and very knowledgeable about places to dine and activities in Kauai. You can tell that he is great about providing the amount of space (or attention) that you need. Also, it was VERY helpful that the place came equipped with chairs, towels and other beachy items to take with us everywhere--something our ritzy Honolulu hotel did not provide. It made the trip so easy. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Thanks!

  • We spent out 10th anniversary week at Scott's cottage, and I can say without reservation that we didn't miss the hotel "experience" one bit. First of all, the location is brilliant. A lovely 10 minute walk takes you to a charming, nearly deserted beach. You're 30 minutes drive from Hanalei, and 30 min from the ariport. It's quiet, private, and lovely. I think what's remarkable is all the ways Scott, a consummate host, has thought through and considered his guests comfort. Little things, like the way the plants are positioned in the back yard to give the guest a sense of privacy, a private patio of sorts. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need, minus an oven. No $5 up charges for a candy bar. A fridge, a cabinet full of utensils and dishware, a small coffee machine, a corkscrew. I cannot remember how many times I'd go out during a vacation, in need of some small thing that you forgot at home. All of these things are at your fingertips at Scott's perfect cottage in paradise.   • Thank you so much for a wonderful week in Paradise....such a beautiful Island, but some of our best memories are watching the sunrise on the gazebo, picking fresh fruit from the trees and just hanging by the pool reading a good book.

  • What a beautiful retreat. Thanks for making our quiet getaway to Kauai everything we dreamed of. We are not sure if we enjoined exploring the Island or relaxing at the guesthouse more. It was the perfect blend of nature, comfort, views and seclusion. We enjoyed our relaxing walks to the beach with Fiona (Scott's small and friendly dog) and all of the small touches in the cottage. It was our pleasure to call the cottage home for a week and we truly did feel right at home.

  • We loved our stay at Scott's cottage. The entire property is lovely, and the views from the cottage of the mountains are breathtaking. Everything is top quality and the owners couldn't be nicer. We felt like we had a lot of privacy. The location is nice to explore the north shore and the south coast. Not beachfront, but otherwise 100% perfect.

  • We had the privilege of staying at this heavenly bungalow for almost three weeks while on a sabbatical. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! The location was perfect for exploring both the north and the south sides of the island, and the owner Scott gave us great local tidbits to help us find restaurants and attractions. We also enjoyed the beautiful and modern design of the bungalow, set amidst an orchard of fruit trees that were available to pick fresh fruit from at our heart's desire. A definite gem for anyone who wants luxury with the comforts of feeling like you're at home!

  • If you would like to stay in the detached cottage of a palatial home in an upscale neighborhood, this is the place for you. The garden is impeccibly designed and landscaped. The pool and spa with waterfall is right outside the door to the tastefully decorated, pristine cottage. There are both indoor and outdoor showers. The host, Scott, is gracious and informative. The location is perfect. It is just a half hour from the airport and an easy drive everywhere we wanted to go. Our trip to Kauai was so enhanced by our stay at this incredible home. I will be recommending these accomodations to all our friends!
