PRINCEVILLE GARDEN HOUSE
This newly renovated and elegantly decorated three bedroom, three bath home in Princeville, on Kauai’s beautiful North Shore, provides lovely mountain and waterfall views from its lush tropical garden.
Walk to secluded Wylie and Anini Beach. Nearby are secluded Queen Emma’s Baths (swimming place for Hawaiian royalty), Hideaway Beach, and some of the finest sunset views on the island. Two world class Robert Trent Jones golf courses, providing breathtaking views of ocean and mountains, are on the Princeville site. The town of Hanalei, on Hanalei Bay, in the "magical" Hanalei valley, is a five minute drive away, with the North Shore’s acclaimed snorkeling, swimming and surfboarding beaches beyond. Hanalei Bay Beach has consistently been rated as one of the ten best beaches in the world. Kilauea’s lighthouse and bird sanctuary (and secret beach) are ten minutes east.
The house is beautifully furnished with an open floor plan, ceiling fans in each room, whole house solar exhaust system, slate flooring, towering ceilings and comfortable bedrooms. There is a whole-house exhaust fan to bring the cool air indoors. There are two master bedroom suites, the first with a king bed, air conditioning, flat screen TV, divan, and a lovely bath with both walk-in shower and oversized Jacuzzi tub. The second master bedroom features a queen bed, day bed (twin), TV, private bath with walk-in shower, and a separate entrance for added privacy. The third bedroom has a comfortable queen sleeper sofa (with an innerspring mattress), TV, printer, and can serve as an office/study or as a sleeping room. It, too, has its own full, slate-tiled bathroom.
The living room features a high quality home theater system. The new kitchen has top appliances and has been equipped for people who love to cook. Princeville has its own excellent supermarket and is minutes away from several amazing local farmers’ markets (Saturday mornings in nearby Hanalei) and freshly caught fish markets.
The private back yard features a covered slate lanai with comfortable and attractive tables and chairs for entertaining and dining, gas grill, hammock, lime, avocado and orange trees (feel free to pick and enjoy!) and soothing views of the mountains and their waterfalls.
This home provides a perfect base from which to explore our awesome island, with its multitude of breathtaking and untouristed beaches, mountains, canyon, and valleys.
The house is available as a vacation rental for one or more weeks at a weekly rate of $1200. ($2000. from Dec. 15 - Jan. 6). Longer rentals are possible at a reduced rate. The house will very comfortably accommodate a family with two or three children, two or three couples, or one couple craving luxurious space, privacy and tranquility.

We've travelled to other places, but always came back to Kauai for its unique combination of breathtaking beauty and tranquility along with the pleasures of both mountain and ocean activities. The north shore of Kauai is the most lush and beautiful part of the island.

Princeville provides access to everything from a lovely community. Our property managers at Hanalei North Shore Properties provide great service and are readily available should any problem arise. We've rented vacation homes here for 25 years, and used our experience to provide guests with what we have found adds to the experience of having a comfortable home base from which to explore, and a house that is a pleasure to return to. This includes everything from an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen to lovely decoration in each room. Our garden takes advantage of the great climate and fertile volcanic soil to provide both beauty and bounty. We have an orange tree, lime tree, and two varieties of avocado. We've taken pleasure in planting tropical flowers and other plants for the enjoyment of our guests and ourselves.

We fell in love with Kauai twenty-five years ago. A family psychotherapist and psychiatrist, we live near Chicago. Hawaii feels like a spiritual home to us, and we try to bring its spirit of aloha home with us after each visit.
