Upon getting to the cabin we had an unexpected problem getting in and we had to drive down to find a cell signal, we got a hold of the owner who sent her manager to open the door for us and took some time to let us know where everything was. The cabin was very nice and bigger than I expected, it had two bedrooms and a loft and the girls enjoyed the room. I am from the area and my family brought Thanksgiving Dinner up to the cabin and there was plenty of room for everyone to eat and enjoy themselves. The stream that runs through the property was extremly nice and tranquil. I walked the dogs up the trails behind the cabin and they had a blast being in the new environment. With the exception of getting in the door we really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We had the pleasure of staying at this cabin for a month in the summer of 2010. The owners are wonderful and were so easy to work with. The cabin is roomy and easily accomodates multiple families. We had many friends visit us during our stay and the loft was a great place for the kids to hang out. The lake is close by and the creek is so much fun for the little ones. This is a place to make wonderful family memories!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

Place is very nice. We had a great time. Small town but we were centrally located for what we wanted to do. Cabin is large and we had way more room than we actually need for just the 2 of us but would have been great for a large family. There was a large yard we walked each day with the dogs and they had a blast running in the field chasing the ball. The stream was very nice and sounded great while sitting on the porch at night.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It had everything we needed. Loved the screened porch! The owner was very responsive to our questions. We enjoyed day trips to the Cherokee Casino and also the Great Smoky Mtn National Park/Gatlinburg. Wish we could have stayed longer - hope to come back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The location is very easy to get to and there are plenty of fun things to do all around there. The cabin itself sleeps many people easily, is clean, has three porch swings and has a beautiful view of the mountains in the background. We will definitely stay here again. The owners were wonderful to work with and even changed their travel dates to accommodate us. The creek running along the property was peaceful to listen to and the children loved playing in it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/5

This cabin was awesome. We stayed in Aug 08 and enjoyed the open windows, exploring the creek, and star gazing at night. Great sights, horse-back riding, and river rafting down the Nantahala were all within 15 minutes. I would definitely stay there again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

About the owner: We love out mountain getaway and we hope you do, too!
Why the Owner Chose Andrews:
We have always loved the mountains and frequently vacation there and when this cabin became available, we scooped it up. Andrews is a sleepy town and possesses the most beautiful lake we have ever experienced! Nantahala Lake is pristine and a well guarded secret! Just wait until you see! In the summer the swimming is perfect. In the fall, the leaves changing against the water is breathtaking. Having mountains touch water is amazing.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We are only 3 miles to the lake and the boat put-in and swim area. Boat rentals are available. We are out of the way yet close to amenities.
