Both units are fully furnished with new high end furnishings and decorations. First floors and baths have 20' porcelain tiles, upstairs hallway and bedrooms are carpeted. Pocket sliders on first floor open entire west wall up to lanai and pool. Master bedroom has elegant king size bed and wonderful private deck overlooking pool, canal, and marina.                     We rented jan 1 thru feb28 when we arrived there was no water,tv,or lights upstairs except for the bathroom. We contacted the owner and told him of the situation. On the third day we finally had water and tv. We had to pay 144.00 dollar electric bill to keep the powere on. The owner seemed to have disappeared , as he never returned phone calls or e-mails. We finally had lights upstairs the last week of our stay. Our contract said we had to be out on march 1. On feb 28 the new renters arrived ready to move in. They contacted the owner and we finally heard from him. Go figure. Wanted to know what was going on. Doesn't he read his contracts? We did get reimbursed for the power bill by new renters. Says they were friends of the owner. It's a nice place but needs someone to manage the rental that will take care of the place.

                    We rented Side B (the 3 bedroom unit) for all of March 2013 and Side A (the 2 bedroom unit) for the last 2 weeks of March 2013, so have a good understanding of both sides of the rental property. In that context here’s The 10 Top Reasons Not to Rent this Property: 10. The telephone will not accept calls. This is disconcerting when you want to leave a landline number where family can reach you in case of emergency. The number the owner gave us for incoming calls was to a Paddle Boat company. When advised he did not respond with a new number. 9. There are 2 propane tanks on the premises for the gas grill; neither were filled. We spent our own money to fill one of the tanks. 8. The dishwasher on Side B does not work. (It is clear having read the review from the February 2013 renters that the owner knew of this). 7. The owner, when advised, seemed surprised and said he would send someone to fix it “I will get someone there to deal w the dishwasher” and that did not happen during the course of our rental. 6. The heating system on Side B did not work. 5. The owner when advised, never responded. Our daughter and son-in-law with two infants and a preschooler had to resort to turning the oven on with the door open to provide some heat during some very cold mornings near the end of March. 4. The cooling system on Side B did not work. 3. The owner when advised, never responded. 2. The B side of the property was clean when we got there at the beginning of March. The A side was not cleaned for our extended family, mid March and we had to wash all linens and clean the place, so we could move to the 2 bedroom side and free up the 3 bedroom side for our extended family. The owner advised “I will obviously credit you back the cleaning fee” however we have had no communication from him since March 16, 2013. And the #1 reason to never rent this property is: The owner of this property responded erratically to our emails, phone messages, imessages and never resolved any of the issues or questions we identified during the course of our rental.

                    We rented this condo for the whole month of February, 2013. While our stay in this area of Florida was pleasant with many interesting things to do and see, our stay in this property was not a good overall experience and we would not rent it again. From the very first day we had issues with the owner. We were unable to get check-in information until the morning of Feb 1st, the day we were to arrive. When we checked in, we had no electrical power in the master bedroom. On the 2nd day of our stay, the one and only TV in the condo quit working. When we informed the owner, he responded that he would send an electrician and if necessary would order and ship a new TV. After numerous attempts to reach him, we continued to be without a TV or power in the bedroom and the dishwasher did not work properly. The 2nd week we were there, a representative from the power company arrived to turn off the electricity because of an unpaid bill. We had to pay him in order to keep our electricity on. Again we were unsuccessful in reaching the owner. Finally, at the end of our third week, a new TV arrived and an electrician came to fix the electricity problem. This property has potential to be a really good place to rent. The pool is very nice and the furnishings are as described. It was not as clean or maintained as would be expected, but the other problems were what was unacceptable. The owner apparently had some personal issues that interfered with his ability to properly address these issues. He could obviously benefit from employing a property manager in the area to take care of problems as they arise.

                    What a wonderful place to spend a vacation. The house is in a very peaceful area. We had a large party for part of our trip and everyone had a place to sleep. Didn't have to worry about bothering the neighbors either. The house is well stocked with everything you need. I am looking forward to come down in the spring next year. I would recommend this house to any of my friends and family. Thanks!!

                    Overall, I was pretty happy with my experience staying at this home. It was very clean and well-kept. Other than the marina across the waterway, there were no other neighboring buildings, so it felt very private. Very close to several beaches and points-of-interest. I would definitely stay here again.

                    Our stay during Feb 2012 was great. The home is as pictured and is lovely. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and the house has been well maintained. The owner, Frank, was very quick to communicate with us throughtout the whole procedure and promptly took care of any needs when they arose. The pool was fun and inviting and it worked out well being heated...without the heating, it would have been too chilly for much swimming even though the temperatures were warm. The location of the home is perfect - looking out on a marina in a rather rural area. The area was quiet and was perfect for bicycling, walking, and running. Having Direct TV allowed us not to miss our WI Badger games even though we were far from home. If we return to the area, we will highly consider returning to this home!

                    I have had the pleasure of renting this home for the last 3 years for the months of May and June. My experience has been nothing but pleasurable. First off, the owner is very honest and while we have NEVER had any problems with something breaking down or the cleanliness of the home, I am sure he would do everything in his power to correct whatever issues might arise ASAP. I have literally forgotten about my security deposit and he has contacted me to remind me that he needed to return it to me. The home is like brand new, spotless, well decorated & the pool has always been crystal clear. It is like a model home. Ever since I started renting the home 3 1/2 years ago, there have been several notes on the garage doors explaining that it is locked and alarmed. Everything you need for a great stay is provided from dishes to towels and all are in excellent condition. The location is perfect for enjoying all the area has to offer and is very quiet and peaceful. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to my closest friends and relatives, knowing they would not be disappointed. Just as long as they didn't want to stay during May and June, because that's when I'll be there again this year!! :)

                    Had a great time at the house! What a wonderful place! It is beautifully decorated and fully appointed with everything you will need. Very private location, yet close to shopping and beaches. There is a bike trail nearby and tennis courts, as well as several golf courses within 3-10 miles. Loved the huge pool! Also had no issues with return of security deposit as described in a previous post. Cant wait to come back! Paula M.

                    We rented this property in March 12-19, 2011. In January, I reserved this rental promptly sending a check. I have not had a return call or email from the owner reguarding my deposit return. I have called 50+ times and have left messages also emails. At this point, I am asking for my full deposit and partial rental fees due to the fact we were not able to use the pool (green). There were some cleanliness issues: when I pulled back my sheets it appeared to have bowel movement on the sheets, dirty dishes were found in the cabinets, rusty (non-usable) pans in the cabinets, dirty silverware. There were no starter soaps, toliet tissue, etc so we had to find a store to buy these items. We also purchased some cookware to use. The pool was not cleaned or maintenaced sp? until Friday evening and we were told not to use due to the chemicals for 48-72 hours and we were due to vacate the property on Saturday. I never stepped one foot in the pool, it was cold on arrival and then turned green. The house was beautiful and close to beaches. Everything we needed was w/i 10-15 minutes of this rental. Just really disappointed that I have not heard from the owner. So here it is almost 6 months and not resolved. Next step for me is to travel to Chicago, Il. There will be traveling and gas expenses and court fees if not resolved within 2 wks of this review. Holly M.

                    We had a few bad experiences staying at this property. Beautiful house no doubt. We were there in June and the air conditioning wasn't working on one side. Upon contacting the owner, he stated that his guy that would address this situation was out of town. I actually had to talk the owner into letting me call a contractor and have him come to address the problem. Not really what I was expecting to have the responsibility for on this trip. The owner could have cared less that the ac was out and that the thermostat read 85 degrees upstairs in one unit. Very disappointing! Next situation... A circuit breaker tripped when one of the women were blow drying their hair. The main circuit breaker panels are located in the garage, which the owner keeps locked. (Understandable, I would like to protect my belongings as well) My brother-in-law saw a key on the kitchen table and used it to open the garage door to access the main electrical panel. Upon opening the door, it tripped an alarm which causes the local police dept. to show up. We called the owner right away and explained the situation. He gave us the code and we entered it to stop the alarm. He called the police and told them that there was no need to respond to this alarm. The owner was upset that we used the key to open the door and stated that the garaged was off limits to renters. On one side of the duplex there was a note saying to stay out of the garage. Of course, the side with the tripped breaker didn't have a note by the door. I told him it was hot in that bedroom and we wanted to have the breaker reset. He suggested going to Walmart and buying a few box fans. That's the kind of service you get when staying here. He finally, after arguing, let me go back into the garage and reset the breaker. When we got home from our trip I called the owner and asked if he was going to mail our security deposit back. He said, "not until he gets a chance to go to the house and inspect his garage!" He lives in Chicago! He stated that the tires on his car are very, very expensive. After about a month and a ton of phone calls, we finally received our security deposit! Last scenario When we arrived there was garbage in multiple trash cans on both sides. And even more disgusting, the king size bed on one side wasn't made and it was quite obvious that someone had slept in it. The sheets were wrinkled and the comforter was peeled back like 1 person slept in it. Real nice when you pay this much money!

                    Owner response: there was no key for the garage. these people forced their way into the garage where i had some cars stored. i was not about to return a deposit before i saw the condition of the door they broke into and before i could inspect the contents of the garage. yes i was in chicago working and had to arrange to fly down to do the inspection. sorry i just cant fly down any day i chose, i actually have a job. they called me late on a friday night with the alarm blaring in the background and told me they got into the garage. i was shocked to say the least. the door is bolted shut and there is no key on the premises for this door. the notion that i would bolt the door, alarm it, and then leave a key for said door on the kitchen table is more than a bit ridiculous. as far as the a/c not working, again i got a call on a friday night. i called my ac people immediately and of course, they were closed. called the next morning and they were booked solid and couldnt get out until monday morning. i actually got the guy to come out on a sunday and had to pay double. and on top of everthing, why wait 1.5 years to make this review?
