Corner Oak located at 516 8th Ave. North, in Clear Lake, Iowa is a 1970s ranch style home nestled under a large Oak tree which is conveniently located just a few blocks from the lake and downtown area. This completely furnished, 4 bedroom, 2 bath home with a double garage and a large back yard is a perfect place to relax. It easily sleeps 8 or more with four double beds, with plenty of room for additional air mattresses or sleeping bags. Plenty of room in the large backyard for your camper, tents, or boat.

Corner Oak offer all the comforts of home with bicycles, loungers, lawn chairs and a gas grill.

Clear Lake is Iowa's second largest natural lake, offers boating, water skiing, sailing, fishing and swimming. A boat launch and public docks nearby, and boat and motor rentals are available from the local marina. Enjoy additional recreational activities on bike trails, 5 lighted tennis courts, 3 golf courses and hiking at Central Gardens. Other area attractions include Fort Custer Maze, Lady of the Lake Paddle Boat, the historic Surf Ballroom, the newly expanded Diamond Jo Casino, and many more.

Take a leisurely stroll downtown to explore the charming shops, antique stores, restaurants, and lounges, or relax and enjoy the view from the seawall downtown, or the city park right next to the city beach. Clear Lake has a new public swimming pool a well as a new Arts Center.

  • We love the house, it is so inviting and cozy, the downstairs gives our daughter and nanny their privacy, and our son can still be close to us at night. We love the fact that when we arrive all the furnishings are there just like home, and all we have to do is go buy groceries for the week. We also love the fact that the house is not on the lake because of our small children we do not have to worry constantly about their safety. Thanks again for everything, and I have already recommended the cottage to all my friends.

  • Our second fishing trip to Clear Lake was not as good as last year. The fishing (walleye & yellow bass) was slow, but the extreme windy conditions did not help. As for our stay at Corner Oak, it again was excellent for our group. It provided comfortable bedrooms, wonderful kitchen area, ample garage space for our gear, and provided all the necessities that our group needed. Our group would rate it again with a "10".   • This was a great place to stay. It was a lot of room plus a lot of extra room. The amenities were wonderful and unexpected and it was very clean and nice and quiet. The garage even though we did not use it was very nice and the large yard was great. We will certainly check into staying again and will highly recommend it to everyone.

  • A delightful home away from home--spotless and well-equiped (large refrigerator-plenty of cupboard space-nice table service for 8-full-size kitchen range). Plenty of extra space for aero-beds for children. A problem with a ceiling fan was taken care of the same day!! The double garage is open and very clean--we set up our folding tables and our family (housed in 3 houses) ate together for the evening meal---a GREAT BONUS to us. Spacious yard for children to play or a game of frisbee for the adults. Very handy number lock instead of keys.

  • We recently stayed at Corner Oak with our 5 children. There was plenty of comfortable sleeping space for all of us. The kids enjoyed having 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a TV all to themselves in the basement. It was a GREAT place to stay and we hope to return! Thanks Myron and Jayne!

  • We chose this house as it was a midway point for both Nebraska and Wisconsin family members. This was the first time we were able to spend Christmas together in nearly 10 years. The house was wonderful. It was clean, roomy, and had a very homey and warm feeling, there were even Christams decorations. The house is decievingly bigger than it looks from the outside. There are two bedrooms up stairs and a full bath with 2 bedrooms downstairs with another full bath. The kids loved having the room as to not be by the adults. The Adults appreciated the room as well. The decor was very modern and having a full kitchen with all of the pots and pans, and all of the little things that made it feel like our home for Christmas.
