My family and I stayed at this beautiful home over Christmas 2011 and what a wonderful experience. The home is modern and very clean while being warm and cozy at the same time. The kitchen was perfect to cook a big Christmas dinner in, just like my kitchen at home. Tippy and Neil (The owners) were a phone call away and always prompt and helpful for any questions that came up. The home is in the perfect location, very very private yet completely accessible and within a moments walking distance to beach and restaurants. I woke up every morning and strolled to the beach then took a 5 mile run on the bike path down the coast past some of the most amazing scenery in the world. I cannot wait to go back. The central coast of California blows any other part of California away in my opinion for natural beauty and old CA charm. If you are looking for the romantic Steinbeck California, well look no further. This home fulfills.

We had a wonderful week here. The house is very well kept, clean and well equipped throughout. We loved its location - a short walk to the beach and easy access to the whole peninsula, Big Sur, Carmel Valley, Ventana. We were lucky with the weather and coming from England loved the hummingbirds in the garden and sea otters in the surf. The owners were very helpful, prompt and a pleasure to do business with. We would like to return one day and have no hesitation in recommending the house to others looking for a comfortable holiday home in the area.

Our family totally enjoyed staying at this Asilomar cottage! The location was fabulous, just a block from the beach and the wooden walkways of the Asilomar retreat. Yet, a much better set-up for a family with young children than staying in a hotel room. We visited with 2 young children (4yo and 2yo), who really enjoyed the house and location. (Oh, and the dancing and singing on the Hairspray DVD!) So easy to get to the Monterey Aquarium from the house, and the local Trader Joe's store made quick family dinners easy. We will be staying again in the future!

We had a wonderful time - the location was perfect for us - practically on the dunes and within 2 blocks from the beach and beach trails, an easy walk to the Asilomar Conference Center, near to Pebble Beach and Carmel, and just a short drive to Monterey. The property was very clean, nicely furnished, and well maintained. The owners were eager to please and very attentive. We will stay here again, without question.

We just spent 3 nights with our four teenagers in this spacious and lovely home. The house is very open and comfortable. There was an additional queen-sized air mattress and sleeping bag, if needed. We walked and biked to the beach area and enjoyed the surf and scenery. Nature at its best---lots of sand dunes and deer. My husband and son golfed the local course and pretended it was Pebble Beach!! The town has many shops and restaurants. Close to Monterey and Carmel. The owners are a delight! . We also encountered the fog and temperatures to be a bit cool. We definitely recommend staying here.

Spent the US Open week at the house and it was great. The accomodations were great for a guys week for playing and watching golf. The owners were very helpful and accomodating. The flat screen TV was perfect and with the DVR we could go to the US Open and tape it and watch what we missed. The kitchen was a nice size and the BBQ was perfect for cooking steaks. This place is just right for a weekend getaway or a week stay for a couple, a family or just friends.

Asilomar home is a great location! Always wanted to stay on this street so we were pleasantly surprised to find this hideaway! We walked, we rode our bicycles from the house.... sooooooo relaxing!

Great place. The house is beautiful inside, with a very spacious living room and two good bedrooms, as well as recently refurbished bathrooms. The boys particularly enjoyed the stock of DVDs. The situation is quiet and seasidey, and the garden is large with plenty of places to sit out. There were bikes (elderly but working) in the garage which made it easy to get to Monterey and to the aquarium (it took us, a family of four, about fifteen minutes downhill; a little longer on the way home). The owners were exceptionally helpful and responsive. The only downside was the fog which tended to hang over the coast while we were there, but no-one can be blamed for that! I'd happily recommend it to a friend, and the description is entirely accurate. It's a great way to enjoy all that's on offer in Monterey from a slightly less urban surrounding.

Our family is in love with this house. Just spent an amazing week there and hated to leave. The decor is beautiful and the grounds can't be beat. There are 5 bikes which we rode everywhere. Deer roamed through the yard as we watched the sunset every night. A dream vacation - we will be back for sure.

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely home. It was a fantastic experience for all of us. Our young children loved romping around in and exploring the expansive varied yard. We loved the quiet location close to the beach. The owners were wonderful to deal with, the house was lovely and we appreciated the wifi, free long distance calling and the comfortable layout of the house. We will stay here again. Highly recommended!

We just came back from three nights in this house and just loved it! It was great for our family of 4... and I highly recommend it for families. I don't think they mention that the entire property is well fenced so its great for the kids to play outside. The house is also all one level - so no stairs for our little one to navigate. We took some outlet covers and cupboard locks and the house was pretty much childproofed. We'll definately be back!

We stayed the first week of August,2008 and had an amazing time. The location was a stone throw away from the beach and yet secluded enough to be an excellent hideaway. The house is VERY CLEAN and IMMACULATE. Moreover, the owners are incredibly accommodating. I would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful home in a great location to check out this place. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

My family of four recently spent 2 nights at this absolutely wonderful home. It was the perfect place for us. The owners have done such a lovely job furnishing and outfitting this house. We and our two young girls loved it and the expansive yard. The proximity to Asilomar beach and the beauty and fun of Pacific Grove cannot be any better...we saw no other listings this good. To top it all off, communicating with the owners was an absolute pleasure. As you can tell, I highly recommend it!
