The main level consists of the living room, kitchen, dining area, aspen log queen bedroom, half bath & laundry room. Log accents, vaulted ceilings and a moss rock wood-burning fireplace soar 20 feet in the great room. Rough cut granite counters in a fully equipped kitchen offer the option of cooking or choose to dine out at the many wonderful downtown restaurants.
The laundry room provides plenty of room for ski/board storage. A full-sized washer and dryer are at your disposal.
Hang out on Timberlane Retreat's main floor deck nearly surrounding your vacation getaway and enjoy the views.
The upper level provides guests with a large master bedroom including a queen sleigh bed, full bath and private deck.
This home's lower level is a second living area to entertain you and/or the kids with flat screen TV, cable, Game Cube, DVD player and board games. Larger room contains a full size futon and a beautiful aspen log bunk bed (queen bottom and x-long twin top). An additional room contains another bunk bed. A third bath with shower and separate walk-in sauna are located on the lower level.

Oh what a joy from the moment we walked into this beautifully decorated and cozy home....wonderful family times in front of the crackling fire....house was clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need....great location, views and very quiet! A great time was had by all....thank you so much to Sue and Eric for your help and sharing your home with us for a Thanksgiving to remember !Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

Our vacation was well spent enjoying all that Breckenridge has to offer for the summer crowd - Peak 8 Fun Park, painting, golfing, strolling downtown, and touring a gold mine. We enjoyed our family time, watched our children play cards and games with their cousins, and relaxed on the gorgeous deck for meals and conversation. The hot tub was the adult spot in the evening :). We enjoyed just sitting outside and soaking up the outdoors. This home comes complete with full kitchen with plenty of dishes/pots and pans, outdoor grill, washer/dryer a definite plus,, and the hot tub and sauna were favorites. Plenty of games and space for the kids, and the hammock was a relaxing touch in the back yard. Great location, just a short drive to town. We loved it and had an enjoyable vacation!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our family recently stayed at Timberlane Retreat to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time! With bedrooms on all 3 levels, the house offers plenty of space and privacy for everyone, while providing a nice kitchen/family room area on the main floor where everyone can congregate. The house is located up on the mountain, so you have very little traffic and lots of peace and quite. But, it is only a couple of minutes drive down the hill to Main street. The best of both worlds. We were all impressed with how nicely equipped the house was. We found everything we needed to make our stay 100% comfortable. Sue was super easy to work with on the rental and offered lots of tips about Breckenridge and ideas for activities we'd enjoy. We really had a perfect experience, and hope to be able to do it again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I can't think of one thing that left us wishing for more. The back deck was a perfect area for a toddler. It was great having an outdoor area that could be completely closed off. We just wish that it hadn't rained so much while we were there! The owners were very easy to work with and made our vacation worry free!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

About the owner: Originally from Wisconsin, my husband and I started visiting Breckenridge with friends in 1992 while we lived in Denver. We rented the same little cabin on Baldy Road 2 -3 weeks a year for almost 15 years. Finally, we invested in this home and have made it our own. We enjoy summer and winter equally...and are never bored. We hope others will find that Breckenridge and the surrounding area has much to offer. We love sharing our home with others.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We enjoy the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Our children love to play outside, pretend in the log cabin, read books in the hammock and visit with friendly neighbors. Just 1 mile from Main Street, it is away from the busy winter scene, yet close enough to be convenient. Breckenridge has evolved in the 20 years we have been visiting. There is so much to offer in the way of family entertainment, restaurants, night life, outdoor activity, etc. Wish we would have purchased a home here years ago!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Personally, I love sipping coffee on the front deck before anyone else awakens, reading a book in front of a roaring fire, sharing an evening glass of wine with locals or friends from home, zooming down the super slide in the summer, and racing my kids down the mountain in the winter. Biking, fishing, golfing, hiking...it's all nearby.
