A lovely, light-filled home that comfrotably housed our group of 12 ranging in age from 2 to 75. The house is spacious with lots of room for small groups to talk, kids to play, and everyone to cook and eat. The house was remarkbly sound-proof so that the older kids could howl in laughter while hanging out watching movies without waking my sleeping toddler or the grandparents! Great accessible location. Owner very accomodating and helpful.

My family, including my wife and I, our four adult children and their spouses, plus four grandchildren stayed in the house for four nights as our son got married on the Northwestern Campus. It was much more than we even expected from the listing description. We enjoyed the two picnic tables and grill in the back yard. Fourteen people could have slept in beds, plus two double size blowup mattresses, plus a baby pack n play. The place was very clean, and equipped for all our needs. There were enough sitting areas for private talks, group gatherings, cooking, and dining. The owner was in contact and available always. We will definitely use it again and recommend it to friends. The location is very good for anything in North Chicago
Owner response:We were thrilled to have you stay with us for your celebration! We hope to see you again soon! Yehuda

We had a wonderful vacation to Chicago and really appreciated all the help that the owner gave us in planning our activities. We had family come in from all over the U.S. and he was very gracious in answering our many questions, helping us with finding a port a crib, giving us directions, restaurant recommendations, and any other need to make our stay enjoyable. The home is just like it appears in the picture and is located in a delightful neighborhood and a convenient location. I would definitely recommend this place and especially because the owner was absolutely wonderful and helpful in making sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. It is within walking distance to both the Metra and the El. It was a wonderful trip!!
Owner response:Thanks for coming Diane! We hope to see you again! Yehuda

My parents, aunt and uncle, and three adult cousins recently stayed in this lovely and spacious home for a five-day visit in mid-June. This was the perfect location, as we live in nearby (east) Rogers Park, and street parking was easy for the 3 cars from our group. The accommodations were great, including the huge kitchen with well-maintained and sparkling clean appliances. We especially liked that the house has several separate family rooms which enabled the various generations in our group to gather and chat separately. Our little one is just over a year old, so when she needed to settle down for naps, we would take her out on a convenient stroll around the neighborhood, and there is a great little playground right across the street! Excellent ethnic restaurants are just a few blocks away, and my cousins also enjoyed the spicy fruit gazpacho from a street vendor at the end of the block. Thanks so much - the next time we have a large group of family visitors, we'll be back in touch!
Owner response:Hi Joanna - Thank you again for staying at our home! We are glad you took advantage of a neighborhood you know well. We hope to see you again soon! Yehuda

Our family stayed at this home for a wedding for one of our sons. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay with our children and grandchildren a very enjoyable time that we will remember for years to come. Mr. Cohen who owns this property was extremely nice and went out of his way to make sure that our stay was a good one. I would certainly recommend this home and owner to anyone planning a visit to the Chicago area. We enjoyed the home so much that we all plan to meet at his home again sometime in the future for another event when we visit Chicago. house so much.

We had a large group (17 guys) staying here and another place close by for the weekend. It was much larger and spread out than the pictures can show. This property ended up being our gathering place during the day because it was so spacious. We were able to have people inside, outside, and on multiple levels throughout the home during the day and we weren't cramped at all. Very nice grocery nearby and it made our trip super convenient. You can't find a place this large and comfortable in a decent area of Chicago for such a reasonable price. It's a bit of a hike to the L station, but not a bad walk if you aren't in a hurry.

Several members of my family both from the west and east coasts came together in this house for a family reunion. The house is lovely, clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen size and layout allowed for 5 cooks at a time. Between the kitchen and the dining room, we had no trouble eating together. The living room and den made for great gathering places where we could reminisce, watch the game, or play trivial pursuit and apples to apples. There were twelve of us (adults) and we all were able to sleep privately and comfortably. It was wonderful to have the grill and deck and we loved eating breakfast out on the picnic tables. Yehuda has thought of everything. There was even a large cooler to bring along on our picnic. We had a perfectly lovely time and will definitely stay here when we come back to Chicago. Thank you Yehuda.

Thanks so much for having us! We had a wonderful Loyola graduation celebration. My mom says said it is the type of house she always wanted to live in and she could just imagine a big Christmas tree in the living room! Christine

The house worked really well for a 6-person company get-together. There was lots of space to meet for both work and socializing (we enjoyed cooking on the grill!) and it was not too long a drive for nights out in downtown Chicago. Thanks for everything!

I hosted my 40th birthday party here, and I was so, so happy with everything. The house is marvelous--the photos really don't do it justice; it is even more spacious in real life. I had clusters of people lining up in the kitchen to roll their own eggrolls, and no one got underfoot. Yehuda treated me like family rather than a weekend tenant. Parking for a dozen cars in the area on a Saturday night posed no problem. Traffic was not a nightmare. The big monster grocery store was relatively close. I wish I were still there and having another party tonight! Thank you, Yehuda, for making my dream eggroll party possible in the city I love most! I only wish you'd been able to stop by, as well. Hope to see you again soon.
Owner response:Jen - We were so happy you hosted your special birthday at our home! Happy Birthday and many more! Yehuda

We have stayed at the Cohen's home twice in the last year. It's a great colonial home that really made us feel at home! We have stayed downtown before, but loved this location because the commuter METRA train is 2 blocks away and we could take the train 15 minutes to downtown or see our friends who live nearby easily. This is a great home and Ellen and Yehuda gave us lots of great tips to get the most out of our stay. There's a great playground literally across the street where our kids played alot and we also took them to Warren Park which is 2 blocks away. We will be coming back! The Ney Family
