What an amazing house. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure anything and everything you could need are available. The online pictures do not do it justice! The house was super clean and the property management company handled everything flawlessly. We rode the bikes the owners had in the storage shed, used the beach chairs, umbrellas etc. The kids told us we had to come back next year! Thank you for making this our most memorable vacation everRecommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My extended family of 12 was very comfortable here! The house is a well kept, decorated, updated, old beauty! It has plenty of comfy beds and tv's for game playing and watching! A short drive to the beach was necessary due to all our chairs and toys, but there was plenty of free parking! The kids really enjoyed the playground in Central Park, the beach and all the board games provided by the owner. The adults were greatful for the low key surf and shallow water that made for relaxing days at the beach with little ones. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation on the beach, getting lost in a good beach read and hiding from the world, you will love Cape Charles and this vacation house. After you've recharged and you're ready to join reality again, Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens and Williamsburg are only a beautiful Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel drive away! We enjoyed our Randolph House stay it's a great house!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family stayed at The Randolph House for a nice weekend in March. We loved it. Our dogs also enjoyed the house. There is plenty of room for kids also. We have three and they loved the bunk room. Looking to head over across the Bay Bridge again soon and will be choosing this home again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Randolph house was a great place for my family and I to enjoy time together and relax. It had everything you needed for your day to day family needs. All you really need are your clothes and toiletries! The owners have provided so many items so you can enjoy the beach, get about town, as well as all your kitchen needs! The clean and calm beach is perfect for families with little ones. We look forward to visiting Cape Charles again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family loved the Randolph House! It was exactly what we expected. I love older houses, I would love to live in one just like this one! We loved the Catholic church across the street, it was amazing and we loved the music it chimed on the hour. We enjoyed our visit to Cape Charles and to Virgina Beach! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3

You have a lovely, very comfortable home. We enjoyed being able to walk to the stores and restaurants, to Central Park, to the Cape Charles museum and to the beach. It was a very relaxing weekend for us and our 3-year old.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

"If you're wondering about the beach - stay in Cape Charles. But if you want to interact with nature at the beach you should make sure to visit. Park Rangers roam the beach with nets and let kids "help" them collect and examine everything from live sand dollars you can dig up with your hands to small fish and snails. Canoe rentals are also available and there is a (very) nice but short bike path. "

About the owner: We are a beach loving family who love to spend time on the Eastern Shore of VA
Why the Owner Chose Cape Charles:
We are located just 25 minutes from Virginia Beach (via the Bay Bridge Tunnel) yet most Virginian's have no idea where Cape Charles is. We like it that way since it means that even during the month of July when the beaches are packed with people we can stretch out and enjoy the sun.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
In Cape Charles you are certain to have a truly RELAXING and affordable beach vacation. Stretch out on our clean sandy beach, walk to shops and restaurants where you will never have to wait in line.
Cape Charles has one of the largest concentrations of late-Victorian and turn-of-the-century buildings on the East Coast, with most of it's structures built between 1885 and 1920. The entire town is designated as a Historic District on the Virginia Landmarks Register and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
