All amenities are available including golf at a beautiful mountain-top course, Cherokee Country Club.
Boat ramp within five minutes at Lake Hiawassee. We are within 30 minutes of the following lakes: Nottely, Chatuge, Blue Ridge, Ocoee, Fontana, and Appalachia. Hiawassee River supports fishing including trout, bass, catfish, and brim - all from your back door.
Of course, there is tubing from approximately three miles upstream down to your private steps (about an hour-long trip). White-water rafting is available at both the Nantahala and Ocoee rivers - both are approximately 45 minutes away.
Winter skiing is available at some of the finest Western Carolina slopes.
Four (4) wheeling at Tellico Plains for the adventurous hearts.
Craft shops and classes in folk art at John Campbell Folk School. Not to mention all the fairs and festivals around the area. Antiquing or regular shopping is available at almost all small towns between Murphy and the rest of the world.
For the nature lovers, we have wooded paths to observe deer, fox, beaver, woodchucks, they also say bears live in the woods. We have seen the following birds: cranes, geese, ducks, egrets, finch, woodpeckers, hawks, blue bird, blue jays, turkeys, and king fishers.
