Our property is at Crystal Cove which is directly on Sapphire Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (Picture 1). All 4 buildings of Crystal Cove are beachfront. They are arranged in a sort of horseshoe pattern facing the beach. It is a short stroll on a sidewalk through the landscaped lawn setback to get to the beautiful white sand and clear water. Just 150 steps from our stairs to the beach. Come relax on our beautiful Sapphire Beach and swim in our beautiful clear water..
Our unit is D24. It is a spacious (1300 square foot)2 bedroom condo which is fully equipped for your convenience and comfort. The condo is air conditioned and has ceiling fans in every room. The buildings are older but are in top condition and the grounds are well maintained with numerous plantings. Crystal Cove is located on 13 acres, and has fewer and larger apartments than newer resorts.
Your sleeping accommodations consist of 2 bedrooms and sleeping for 3 in the living room. The master bedroom has a beautiful romantic king size bed in a Caribbean style (Picture 3). The second bedroom has a split king bed (it can be made up as either a king or 2 twin beds.(see pictures 5 & 6). In the living room there are Murphy beds and a day bed. (see pictures 4 & 7). The living room and dining area are Caribbean style(Pictures 2 & 7)with ample seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with service for 8 and an assortment of cookware and small kitchen appliances as well as a dishwasher and a microwave. Extended Cable TV and a free DSL connection are provided. All linens (including beach towels) and mid week maid service are provided. We also offer an optional shopping service that allows you to email your shopping list and all your groceries will be waiting in the apartment upon your arrival. The fresh salt water pool, (picture 8) lighted tennis courts (picture 9), and beach chairs and lounges are all there for your use. You can go to the beach early and have a cup of coffee while seeing the sun rise or sip wine at night under the stars. So come and relax and enjoy the lay back life of the Caribbean.

So why stay in a one bedroom unit when you can enjoy the space of a two bedroom unit for a few dollars more or even for less in some cases? Share the rate with another couple and reduce the price per person even more. THERE ARE VERY FEW TWO BEDROOM UNITS IN CRYSTAL COVE.
We currently live on island most of the year and take a personal interest in our condo and it's upkeep. We check things out very often to make sure everything is in perfect working order or if anything needs attention. Most owners live off island and only come down occasionally to their units. So, if no on tells them that something needs their attention, they most likely will not know it as quickly as we we do. We really keep on top of things. We want your vacation to be perfect and we try our best to make sure that it is.
On Sapphire Beach, you can snorkel with the turtles or swim with the fish. Sit under the sea grape trees and read a book or tan in the warm sun. There is a dive shop on the beach. At Sapphire Marina, there are day sails, romantic sunset cruises or you can go sport fishing or rent jet skis. All of this a short walk from your condo. We have relationships with boat charters.
Red Hook is about 1 mile away. Restaurants, stores, a small market for food, fast food, and bars like Duffies or the Caribbean Saloon are among the many there for you. Or it can be your ferry gateway to St. John or the British Virgin Islands such as Virgin Gorga, Tortolla or Jost Van Dyke. There are Safari's that cost $1 to go to Red Hook or to shopping in TuTu.
You can go down town and take advantage of world class shopping at LOW duty free prices. Jewelry, linens, attire, and of course low cost booze. Safari bus service is available for just $2.
We joke with people that after you rent from us once, we have you hooked and we just reel you back in year after year. Seriously, most renters at Crystal Cove are return renters. You get to know what time of year it is by the faces of 'friends' you see on the beach. Come join our group of 'Sapphire Beach Friends'.

Having never stayed in the USVI, I have nothing to compare this unit to. If I were to compare it to a condo on the Gulf Coast, I would have to rate it very low, only because of its age, probaly built in the 60s. My wife was very disappointed in the quality of the unit. The unit is a bit dated in the kitchen and bath areas. The appliances are older but are in working order.We did not eat in much, but there was a good assortment of pots, pans and utensils. The fridge, AC, washer and dryer worked great. There is no outside patio or deck to sit and enjoy a cocktail or snack and see the beach or water. That was very disappointing to me and my family.Not important to me, but may be to some, the TVs were older cabinet models. However, they work just fine. On the positive side, you will not find a finer beach location or view. The prevailing breeze will keep you cool all day long. You can be in full sun or under the sea grape trees. Snorkeling is great and there is some gear to use. The unit is very close to Red Hook and all it has to offer. Peggy and Bill are delightful folks as are Diane, the beach lady and Norma, the resort manager. There are newer properties around Crystal Cove, but I did not see any with the great property and beach area. While the unit is older, it did not dampen my vacation. I was there for the beach, fishing, snorkeling and relaxation. The condo was just a place to sleep and it worked for me.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I really enjoyed this rental. Very spacious and comfortable and right on the beach. Great spot to play on the beach all day and just head in for naps and lunch as you feel like it. The beach was clean and in a quiet inlet with that wonderful clear blue Caribean water. I can not wait to go back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I were looking for a spacious unit, close to the beach, shopping and dining. This place has it all. From the moment we walked in we did nothing but smile. The owners are so generous and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise. The until was clean and well maintained. There was no lack of space as know one was bumping into each other. The views are spectacular being right there on the beach. We had easy access to St. John, shopping, dining and of course the beach. I highly recommend this unit. I will be returning with not only my family but friends as well.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My family was looking to visit a home away from home while on our vacation, and we got that and more, staying here! From the incredible view, to the accommodations such as the comfortable beds, seating, and convenience of the on site washer and dryer, we were spoiled the entire trip! Not only were the owners helpful in establishing and maintaining this condo, they also were a good resource when it came time to decide what to do in order to make the most of the time on the island. I can't want to come back and visit again! I have already recommended this property to friends and family, and will continue to do so! Crystal Cove is a quaint older and thus very low density condominium development. The beach is fantastic and all of the condos in this development are "ocean front" by any other other resort's standards. The pool is nice and sheltered if the beach gets too windy. The status of units varies based upon the individual owner, and it is not possible to generalize by block A, B, C, or D. We rented three condos in block D for us and extended family. This unit was most worn (by far) of the three we rented and the most expensive! Bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation (note lack of pictures). What was most disappointing was the condition of the linens -- very worn and stained. I cannot explain the other positive reviews. Furnishings and kitchen were average. The owner makes a big deal of how she is "on island" and thus maintains the place. We found the opposite is true. The people who own and furnish their units as their vacation dream exhibit much higher pride of ownership. This is simply a rental unit. Finally, the owners only pay for the maid service once during a weekly stay so beware when comparing with other units. To be clear, we are very positive on Crystal Cove if you want a convenient Caribbean getaway, away from the crowds.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This is a spacious condo at a simply gorgeous beach with crystal blue water and a view of St. John. The owner has provided very nice linens, beach towels, and snorkel gear! There are nice lounge chairs provided at the beach and a waitress to bring you cocktails and lunch. Master bedroom is large and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this property to a couple or family as the owner can lock the door to the additional bed and bath and rent only the 1 bedroom side but you still get 2 bathrooms. The condo is minutes from Red Hook where there are many restaurants, shops, and a ferry to St. John. The owners were very helpful in providing information and making sure our stay was great.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

when we come to St. Thomas, we spend most of our time out in the sun on the beach or out on the water. we want a clean place that's walking distance to the beach, nothing fancy, just a place to eat, sleep and shower. Peggy and Bill's condo is all that and more. comfy, beds for 6 people, a kitchen with everything you need, charcoal grill, snorkel gear, and beach chairs (only needed if you go to one of the state beaches). the beach at Sapphire is spectacular. 100 yards down the beach you can get cold drinks and lunch. (tip the servers and they'll bring it right to your beach chair). there's plenty of chairs, lounges, and shade trees on the beach. if the trade winds are blowing too hard for you here, it's a 5 minute drive over to Secret harbor where you'll find a beach that's out of the wind with nice flat water. Red Hook with all it's shops, restaurants, and outdoor recreation is 3 minutes away. rent a car and explore the island. this is a great place to call home for however long you can stay. bottom line: if you're looking for glitz and glam, the pay 4x this price and go to the Ritz. however, if you want everything else described here, rent Peggy and Bill's place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Crystal Cove at Sapphire Bay West:
We grew up in the New Jersey Shore area. All our life we were told that when it comes to Real Estate, the rule is 'location, location, location'. Sapphire Beach is maybe the best location in the world. We fell in love with Sapphire Beach the first time we visited St.Thomas. We purchase the unit less then a year later and have never fallen out of love for Sapphire Beach since.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
St.Thomas has a very relaxing, lay back life style. What's not to love. You can sit on the beach under the shade of a Sea Grape Tree and enjoy the view of the off shore islands. The beach is sheltered, so there are never large waves or an undertow. The water is the classic crystal clear aqua color with a nice soft sandy bottom. The trade winds create a nice breeze most of the time. It is truly Paradise.
