Vacation planning requires a lot of thought. As you search for just the right house to gather your family and friends together for a memorable, spectacular vacation, you are probably overwhelmed by the choices. Wondering if you are making the best possible selection is stressful. I am here to tell you your worries are over. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS HOUSE! It is spacious, warm, comfortable, and perfectly designed so your family and friends can enjoy gathering in one large room or breakup into groups--some in the livingroom, some in the dining room, some in the family room, and some out on the huge decks overlooking Morro Bay and the Pacific ocean.
Whether you are the chef of the family cooking up a gourmet meal in the kitchen and listening to the kids chatting about how simple life used to be, or relaxing in an easy chair in the livingroom soaking up the incredible panoramic coastline ocean views, you will feel so good about choosing this wonderful family home.
Let me tell you about the neighborhood. I used to live on this street in a similar home and I loved it. You never know what the mood of the ocean is going to be when you get up and make your coffee, but as soon as you look out of near all-glass wall between you and the large viewing deck and see the huge expanse of water in the distance, you will. Sometimes there are rainbows, clouds, high banks of fog, or just endless sunshine.
Houses on this hillside are usually built with the windows facing the view, not the neighbor's homes. You will be surprised by the solitude and privacy of this home. Even the entry deck is private, sealed off from Laurel Ave. by a fence. There is a little patio off one of the master suites and a sitting room with antique furniture. The other master suite is huge and faces the ocean. It has two full beds, a large bathroom and views to die for.
If you haven't been to Morro Bay much, you may not know that the beach you are looking down at used to have an Inn on the sand known as the Cloisters. It was a mission style building and was built by E.G. Lewis, the man who created the City of Atascadero and Palos Verdes down south. Lewis sold parcels in his new city, the first city every designed for the automobile, and buyers could come to Morro Bay, stay at the Cloisters and pick out a 40 x 60 lot near the Inn which Lewis would give to them for a summer home. It was quite a concept, but like most things that sound to good to be true, this idea didn't work out and Mr. Lewis went to jail. His Inn was seized by the government and converted into a barracks. After the war, locals tore down the Inn and used the wood to build many of the structures around town. One of the ones you may recognize is the rock house on Main, right down below this home. The framing lumber the rock is attached to came from the Cloisters.
