and this is what you get when you deal with the unit's caretaker. He is an incredibly sensitive person to ensure that your vacationing needs are met. Otherwise, all you get is a just a beautiful place to stay in and that's it. I personally believe that the experience that the caretaker has to offer during one's stay can be even more important than the location itself. Thank you so very much for making our stay one of the most memorable we will ever have!

My husband and I stayed here for a week this summer and had a really nice time. The owner was easy to work with and although the unit isn't huge, the property does have tremendous value because of its ocean view and private deck. We loved getting up and having a cup of coffee out there before embarking on our daily walk around the neighborhood. Having never visited this particular area of San Diego before we didn't know what to expect in terms of scenery and night life. The actual Sunset Cliffs area is breath-taking when you get down and walk along the cliffs (its about 3-4 blocks down the hill - turn left). The town of OB had a few funky spots for sure (we LOVED Pizza Port)... and would have loved to have brought our dog along since the beach is off-leash and dog friendly. The Good: The unit had a very nice kitchen, cute small bedroom and ocean view with deck. The Bad: The bathroom was pretty small (think NYC) and the door was kind of sticking. Overall it was definetely two thumbs up from both of us and I would return to this place in a heart-beat though because we both agreed it was clean, had a great value and a prime location.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We found the condo in a quiet, older neighborhood. As advertised, the kitchen and front room were very nice, including the large screen TV. The view of the ocean was also nice from the patio and kitchen. There was one small full bath in the unit (not two as advertised) that suited our needs. The bed was comfortable. The owner was pleasant and generally quick to respond to the concerns we had when we arrived. Specifically, there was dirty laundry in the bedroom closet, only a bottom sheet on the bed, only one pillowcase, no other bedding in the condo, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The bbq grill would not light and the advertised bikes were broken. The owner apologized and promptly brought over bedding, noting that his regular housekeeping staff had been unavailable, necessitating hiring a substitute who was unfamiliar with the condo. The owner willingly discounted our rate to accommodate bike rentals since his were broken. As this was a business trip, we needed a receipt for our stay. The owner promised to email a receipt to us, but after calling and emailing him we still never received a receipt. Despite the problems, which were mostly resolved, we enjoyed our trip to San Diego.
