The only bad thing was having to leave

My family of four stayed in early August 2011. We found the cottage to be everything it was advertised to be...and more. We felt like we were at home from the moment we arrived. Campfires on the shore , deer in the front yard, waves crashing on the beach at night, easy access from Sturgeon Bay. These are things that will attract us back to this place. The only bad thing was having to leave at the end of our vacation time!!

My family of four stayed in this beautiful cottage for four nights this week. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. Everything was as advertised and we truly enjoyed our stay. We've stayed at many places in Door County and this was clearly one of the best!

My husband and I rented the Stuga in July of 2011. It was the most relaxing vacation in several years. The cottage was extremely clean and everything one could ever need was provided by the Wilsons. Before our trip to Door County, Mrs. Wilson sent several fliers and booklets about the county and things to do in the area. The Wilsons were wonderful hosts, but careful not to interfere with our privacy. The lake views from the property were amazing and I was able to take several beautiful shots of sailboats and sunsets. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy Door County. We intend to return as soon as time permits!!

We spent a week in this cozy cottage and didn't want to leave! The property is immaculate, and every thing you could possible need to make your stay comfortable has been provided. The setting was outstanding. It is located in a quiet, secluded area but has easy access to shopping, sightseeing , state parks and other outdoor activities. We made sure to be home each day in time to go sit on the rocky shore and enjoy the incredible sunsets over Green Bay. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They gave us some great suggestions for places to see and things to do in Door County. We definitely plan to return to this charming get away!

We had a wonderful short break in this lovely, cosy cottage and the surrounding scenery is outstanding, especially at the time we were there in October. We had such a warm welcome and found everything we needed to make our stay so relaxing and a really memorable holiday. Thank you.

We had a wonderful week in Scandinavian Cottage. The location is ideal--peaceful, quiet, and scenic. It is also close to a beautiful state park for hikes, a light house, and is an easy drive into town for restaurants, museums and cruising on the water. The cottage is so comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Our hosts were most helpful and enjoyable to meet. We had great drives up the peninsula for sightseeing in other harbor towns, but were always glad to return to our restful cottage and the beautiful sunsets over the bay.

We have stayed at many places in Door County and this is among the best. The cabin is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Ideal location close to biking, fishing and hiking; off the beaten path yet within minutes of Potawatomi and other attractions. Owners are genuine and accomodating, we're sure to return!

We return often to this charming little cottage with all the comforts of home in diminutive scale. Perfect for a family of three or four. We especially like the perfect combination of seclusion and access to all the delights of Door County. And the sunsets are magnificent. Once you discover this very special place, you will want to return again and again. It’s truly a treasure.

This is truly a wonderful place to stay. The cottage is delightfully decorated with a Swedish influence, as well as antiques, has a library, is extremely clean, and quiet. A great place to jump on your bike and take a ride around the point. The view of the water and fresh air is invigorating. It has a patio right outside the door for enjoying your early morning coffee. The owner is a very gracious, warm person who is fun to talk to. I will recommend this place to my friends.

This is a wonderful, quiet vacation getaway. We love our time there. The property is immaculate, the house is adorable, the yard is large with a great rocky beach front for kids to explore. Since most neighbors seem to not live year round it is peaceful but not remote. There are lots of places for walking and biking and deer in the yard most evenings. Our children LOVED the area- lots of activities within a short drive. When they were there (the rental is a cottage on their large property), the owners were helpful but not over bearing. I would absolutely recommend this rental and we will return often!
