  We loved our stay at the cottage! We were quite the crowd - my parents, my sister, our two boys, my spouse and I squeezed into this snug three bedroom cottage, but no matter. The cottage is on a pretty large property with a large lawn (front and back). There is a path to the beach, which is a short walk from the cottage. The boys ran around the property, and we went down to the beach almost every day. We were constantly on the go, so the place was perfect for us. We ate almost all our meals at the cottage, and what was amazing about this place is that the kitchen is well stocked with all the right equipment. We wanted to make a blueberry pie, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a rolling pin as well as a pie dish. We discovered towards the end of the stay that there was even a little storage compartment on the deck that had balls, bats and other games for our boys. The owners of the property are very thoughtful in what to make available in the cottage - it felt like a home away from home. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely come again!

  We've stayed here three years in a row, and simply love the place. A private, quiet setting with expansive lawns, perfect for croquet or other lawn games, not to mention the broad meadows between this property and the road and the nearest other house, give the property a truly relaxing atmosphere. The private dock is a great place to go fishing or tie up your own boat (if you have one). We've caught at least five species of fish (almost six, the pike got away...) from this dock, and enjoyed the swimming. And Alburgh Dunes State Park is only a ten minute drive away, providing a great shallow, sandy beach that is perfect for kids. The house itself has everything you need for a week away. Fully appointed kitchen, a deck and gas grill for eating outdoors (which we did almost every night), and a television and dvd player (which we did not use at all, the whole point being to get away!) It's a short drive to the Green Mountains, the Adirondacks, or Montreal, and the local attractions such as Hero's Welcome is a great diversion for and parents. If you would like to get away from it all, and yet have plenty to do within a reasonable drive, this is the place. We miss it all year long!

  Clean cottage that is outfitted well to enjoy its ample outdoor space. "Place has everything you need" was the consensus, including recycling bins, which were a nice detail. If I had one suggestion, it would be for the owner to purchase a coffeemaker for the unit which turns off automatically, a buddy of mine temporarily panicked when we left the cottage, but I had already turned it off.

  A few friends and I stayed at the cottage for a quick 3-night getaway. The location was perfect, the cottage was clean, and we were amazed by how well stocked it was. If you like to cook, practically every kitchen appliance is available. One evening, we caught a few small fish in the lake and had a great fresh meal. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to be back.

  We spent a gorgeous week at this cottage in July 2010. Weather was perfect. Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Very private and quiet. Clean and in good shape. Great big yards for kids to play. As it says in other reviews, the place is very well stocked with everything you could need and more. Croquet, bocce, kites and several other yard games were a nice surprise and handy. The property was perfect. The one problem we had was with the cleaners. You should know that they are the ones responsible for reporting the condition of the property to the owners after you checkout. The cleaners showed up an hour and a half before checkout and claimed to not know the checkout time (11:00 FYI). They then came back a half hour before checkout and waited there for us to leave. We considered this to be unprofessional and rude. Maybe having to wait upset them because they then reported a number of fictitious problems to the owners (one of which was having the nerve to say that we were late checking out!!!). We were out at 10:50 by the way. This being said, the owners were good to work with and through phone calls and emails we got things straightened out. Final verdict: Amazing property. Bad cleaners. ps - Would get 5 stars except for the cleaners.

  Cottage was very well appointed. Everything we needed was there. Only cottage we've ever stayed in where the entire kitchen was labeled with the exact location of all the utensils. Seriously though, it was excellent. Very clean, comfortable and very well kept. Great deck with a lovely view of the water.

  If you want privacy in a spectacular location, this cottage is for you. With its private jetty in the lake, and no neighbors on either side you can really get away from it all. We spent a week with our grand-daughters and were never concerned for their safety as there are huge lawns both front and back of the cottage for them to play - far from the road and far enough from the lake. The cottage is well-stocked in a thoughtful manner with everything you need and more - including board games, lawn croquet and a flat-screen TV. The weather was iffy but that didn't spoil a wonderful week. We hope to return some day.

  This was our first time here, and the cottage and lake view/access was everything we were hoping for, and more! The cottage was immaculate - this is the first time ever I haven't "recleaned" a rental upon arrival! And, the cottage didn't feel like a rental, it felt more like we were borrowing a friend's cottage. The propery and landscaping was beautiful, as was the waterfront. It was a very relaxing and peaceful week.

  My husband & I recently stayed on your property. We had a fantastic time. The first night we got there, we laid outside in the lawn chairs and just looked at the stars. Just one of many relaxing times we had that week. The house was stocked with everything you could ever need! I even found a puzzle in the closet and worked on that the entire week. There was also a kite in the closet...My husband tried his hardest to fly that thing. It was hilarious! We built a fire in the firepit a couple of nights and even a couple of fires in the woodstove inside when it got cold! We took some long walks. We also toured the Ben & Jerry's icecream factory! YUM! I cannot say enough good things about our trip. Thanks for your warm hospitality! We hope to come back soon!

  Me and my wife searched for a place to spend our vacation this year for months,something different and RELAXING.We found this cottage online and the week we were taking vacation it was open,so we decided to go. We both are soooo glad we did .It was a 16 hr drive for us,we got there and the cottage its self was great ,nothing to extravogant,but really clean,warm and cozy. It was stocked with everything you could need,I forgot sunscreen,found it in the restroom,got a headache there was bayer.the owner seemed to think of everything! The property was beautiful!! private ,lots of firewood,well groomed and quiet.The pictures on the page do it no justice,if your looking for a quiet getaway this place is fantastic! Theres also a wood stove in the living room to enjoy on cool evenings.Would be nice to have a flat screen tv,but other than that we had a super vacation in vermont !!!!!!! and a great bargain as well.
