My family of three, plus two dogs, spent a long weekend at the cabin and enjoyed it very much. We wanted/needed a relaxing get-away that would not leave us bored, and the ping-pong, pool table and horseshoes were the influencing factors in choosing this cabin. We shared many laughs playing the games and relaxing out on the deck in the mornings and evenings. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and even though other homes were nearby, the area was quiet and we still felt 'secluded'. It was a hot summer weekend and yes, the cabin was too warm during the day and early evening, but the basement was always comfortable so it really wasn't a problem. The grill worked with no problem and there was a backup propane tank available as well. Definitely one of the better cabins we've rented over the years. Thanks Jen!

My visits to this location was all that was descriped. The retreat was in a very nice a private location with access to the nearby attractions and locations and restaurants, where we found everybody to be friendly and helpful. The property was neat and clean and extremely maintained. There was alot of activities not only for the kids but for the adults as well. I've recommended this retreat to several of my family members as well as my friends and collegues. Who've also expressed the same rave reviews that myself and others have experienced here.

Our family had the best time ever! I'm so glad we chose this cabin! It was very accomidating, clean, and in a great location! We felt very comfortable and at home at the cabin but with the atmosphere of being away and relaxing breathing the fresh air! The deck off the cabin is so unbelievable! I cant wait to come back up here! I would recommend this cabin to anyone and everyone! I hope its available on our next family get away!

We rented this cabin with my sister-in-law and our kids ranging from 4-12 from June 30 - July 3, 2011. Pros: The cabin was very clean when we got there. The kids loved the pool table & ping pong, as well as the tree house and tire swing. The deck is a great size, and there was plenty of seating to enjoy the evening air and roast marshmallows on the grill, since there was a fire ban. The cabin is super easy to find off 87, and back enough in the woods so that you feel secluded, but are not. It is about a 5 minute drive to a small grocery store in Pine (I think), big enough to pick up things you may have forgotten, and a shorter drive to some cute resturants in Strawberry. It includes EVERYTHING you need to make meals (thank you!) except cookie sheets (just a note for Christmas visitors). There is a dishwasher, which we didn't use, but a plus nonetheless, a lot of sleeping accomodations, and extra chairs for seating at the kitchen table. Fossil Creek is relatively close and definately worth the drive, but be warned the road is rough and the trail to the waterfall is long and difficult at times. Still, very much worth it, even with little ones. It was AMAZING! The cabin also has satellite TV, which the kids enjoyed in the mornings. Cons: There is no A/C. The cabin, with the exception of the basement, was unbearably hot all day long, from about 8 am until 8 pm. We followed the instructions to best utilize the "natural A/C", but it didn't help much. Thank goodness for the basement and fans! With the price/night, I would have expected a/c. Must have missed that detail in the description. We were out most of the days we were there, so it wasn't a huge issue, but pretty uncomfortable when we were there in the mornings and evenings. NOTE: Put fans in windows to suck in cool air. Also, the beds are pretty uncomfortable, which was very disappointing, especially after hiking all day long and needing rest. We wanted to explore the woods a bit, but quickly discovered we were on other people's property. There isn't anywhere to roam, if you want to. Overall, this is a great cabin for a short stay. If there were better mattresses and cooler temps outside, this would be an awesome place for a few weeks. Lots to do, lots of room, and in a good location. Jennifer is a very good communicator and excellent host. I really enjoyed working with her and will recommend her cabin to friends.
Owner response:Thanks for your feedback. As usual i stress when you are at the cabin and have questions please do not hestitate to call. Cookie sheet are located under the stove. Also most people go up to Strawberry to get away from the heat and with the extreme temps in the valley the entire state and country has had extreme temps. Unfortunately can not predict the weather and if the heat continues to rise this is something we definitely need to look into. FYI though to other user the cabin is on average 20-30 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Im sorry to hear about the beds was there an issue with a spring sticking out or just soft/hard, etc. We have a range of beds in the house to suit everyone, hard, soft, pillow top, etc because everyone is different. Heads up to everyone, maybe pick a room after trying out the bed!! :) Also with hiking PLEASE CALL ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. The top drawer in the kitchen has maps of Strawberry and all the trails. But easily enough there is access to the NF by taking the street across from our house to the end (about 1000') Thank you so much for your business and please come back and see us again. Hopefully the rains will kick in and lower those temps.

Home is not secluded the neighbor is about 50 feet away. I bought 100$ worth of grilling food and the grill did not work. I called the owner the first day we got there and she did not send a " handyman " until the last day of our stay. So we did not use the grill at all. When I asked the owner for compensation she stated," there is other means for cooking like stove and microwave." who wants to cook a steak in the oven??? We do not go on vacation much and all we wanted to do was relax outside and grill some good food but our trip was ruined and the owner could care less.
Owner response:thanks for the feedback. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience that the grill caused. We did our best to take care of the problem in calling 3 different maintenance people to come diagnose and repair it. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if and when a grill regulator will go out. Also the population is really small and everyone is on "pine" time. We did however offer you free dinner on both nights in which you declined. I did state that i would not reimburse you for your food because the food did not spoil. However for the inconvenience we did waive your $90 cleaning fee. We have since repaired the problem and have supplied a backup portable grill for emergencies in the future. We appreciate your business and hope you will come back and visit us again in the future.

We really enjoyed your home for the long holiday weekend! There were 3 couples and 3 little dogs and we all had a very relaxing time. The huge deck was perfect for just hanging out in the sun during the day and making smores in the evening. It was a huge plus that the deck stairs led down to a fully enclosed area that ran the length of the house. The dogs loved that area and we didn't have to worry about them getting out and running off after rabbits! The downstairs area had a very nice pool table/ping pong table setup and also opened up onto a large patio. Darts, horseshoes and a tree house (if you have kids) made this an old-fashioned, electronics-free weekend! Pine/Strawberry are really small towns but there was a craft fair going on in Pine. There are numerous trail-heads all around the area and we took advantage of the Fossil Creek trail. Thanks!

Had a wonderful time! My bff and i last minute took our kids up for the weekend. Jen couldn't have been easier to work with. The place is 110 times better then we expected and the kids had a blast. The hill all thought high, was very safe and the little ones we simply started 1/2 down the hill. From tree house the swings, then of course to inside with the pool table and ping pong, the kids were very busy.Views were awesome and there are several resturants and even a large grocery store very close. (But not too close...) Will be coing back for sure!!!!!
Owner response:Thanks so much for the feedback, your business and taking good care of my property. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Come see us again

Jen, you're such a pleasant person to do business with. Antler Pines was a perfect place for our family and friends to spend the holiday weekend. It was quiet, easy to find and large enough for us all to sleep comfortably. Thank you and you will DEFINITELY be hearing from us again soon. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Andrea

Nice place!! Want a peaceful getaway this is. Took my son up there and it was great. There are a lot of trails that we quaded on, but you can hike or go horseback riding too. We were the only ones out there. We go to see deer and tracks of bear and elk. Lots of games to play in the house and ones that I have never heard of, but had fun playing. My son really enjoyed the tire and rope swings outside. After he went to bed I enjoyed practicing my pool skills on the pool table. We will go back, hopefully we will get snow next time.

We stayed in this cabin over a weekend back in September. It was great! My kids had a blast. We played basketball and walked around in the woods pretending it was a jungle, they played in the tree house and my husband rode his quad. I read, there are alot of books and also fun games to play already there so next time we go, I will definitely be taking less stuff. We will be going back to this cabin.
