We decorated this condo in a tasteful and modern style with upgraded furnishings and artwork. No, it is not the usual "Florida Rental Home" furniture and wall art. You will find yourself in a comfortable and tastefully decorated condominium that offers relaxing views of Wildlife preserve from the Lanai and views of the lake from our cul-de-sac. Our condo sits in a quiet cul-de-sac by a lovely lake and is surrounded by wildlife preserve. The lake offers wonderful views of the local bird population (especially in the evenings).
Riverwood Golf & Country Club strives to be unique among Southwest Florida communities and it succeeds on several counts. First, the Gene Bates-designed golf course is rated by Golf Digest with an impressive four-and-1/2 stars, and second, its Golf Learning Center provides ample opportunity and resources to learn while you play. The huge practice range is supported by superb PGA Professional staff members.
Riverwood also offers a Beach Club on a membership basis. Private parking for 28 vehicles is available. The Beach Club is a 5,500-sq.-ft., cabana-style, wooden structure housing showers, restrooms, commercial ice machine, chilled drinking water fountain, baby-changing facility, office area and storage.
The huge covered deck, complete with towering palm tree feature, has built-in seating, ceiling fans and plenty of space for dancing and entertaining. Charcoal grills are also provided, along with picnic tables.
An elevated wooden walkway leads directly to the beach, with sand chairs and loungers being provided by the attendant. Access is controlled through membership card operated gates, with coded entry systems protecting the internal facilities. (This is an optional provision; please let us know if you are interested in the Beach Club option). Otherwise, we recommend Englewood Beach, Florida; located just next door to the Riverwood Beach Club.
Don't want to golf or swim or play tennis? You are within a short drive of Charlotte Harbor and Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda; Shopping is away only minutes at Port Charlotte Town Center and surrounding stores and shops; take a short drive and enjoy the Marinas in Sarasota and Naples or venture out to explore Coconut Pointe Mall (opened in 2007!) located on US 41 between Corkscrew Road and Coconut Road in Estero, Florida: best shopping and dining only a short drive away.

- Pet Friendly: Guests must identify breed and size. Must weigh 20 pounds or less and must be fully housebroken, not be destructive, must not bite or excessively bark. Please place pup in its travel kennel when leaving the condo without it. Be considerate of others and pick up after your pet; pet droppings transfer disease and are very unsightly: strictly enforced. INFO: Lucky Dog Daycare and Dog Spa within minutes from Condo, Conveniently located next to Harley Davidson Plaza on Rt. 776, (El Jobean Road) in Port Charlotte: house at the corner of Rt. 776 and Torrence Street. Offers pet care to a wide variety of domestic animals. Overnight slumber parties available
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): This condo is a bottom floor condo and easily accessible from the garage and driveway. No outdoor or indoor stairs.
- Not Suitable for Children: This property is not suitable for children. Furnishings and decorations are not child friendly and property is located in the cul-de-sac by a large lake frequently occupied by the neighborhood Florida gator.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We rent to mature adults only.
- Smoking Not Allowed: Absolutely no smoking allowed inside condo, Lanai, or garage; This property is a strict non-smoking property.

We selected Riverwood because we fell in love with Port Charlotte and near by Punta Gorda our first visit. We wanted to surround ourselves with relaxing views of Wildlife preserve and views of the lake. As a result, our condo sits in a quiet cul-de-sac by a lovely lake and is surrounded by wildlife preserve. The lake offers wonderful views of the local bird population (especially in the evenings). Riverwood is the perfect community for just about everything from golfing to biking to walking and just plain enjoyment every minute you are here.
