Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall (where have I heard that before….), this new mountain/slope side condo with great views of the surrounding mountains, lake & wildlife, will provide you with an envigorating yet relaxing vacation any time of year. At the end of the day, nothing beats a relaxing soak in the FABULOUS HOT-TUB on the sun deck!!!!

In the winter, you can ski day or night right from your door step to the adjacent ski-trail that abuts our ‘Ski-in/Ski-out’ home on one of New England's finest family ski resorts, Shawnee Peak. Even on the busiest weekends, the lift lines are short. There are endless trails for cross-country skiing and there are snowmobile rentals not far in Freyburg. Should you wish to ski another mountain, Mount Cranmore is approx ½ hour away, while Attitash, Bear Peak, Wild Cat, Bretton Woods & Mt. Washington are all approx. 1 hour away.

Need a break from skiing? During the winter months, you can enjoy Shawnee Peak's Ullr Fest & the NY Eve's celebrations at Shawnee Peak; Bridgton's Musher’s Bowl Winter Carnival in Jan. which provides a week’s long worth of entertainment.   • This place was awesome! Perfect location with lots to do within a few minutes drive or stay on site and relax on the sunny deck during the day then sit in the outdoor hot tub as it get cool at night. The overall decor inside was done with great taste and feels like an upscale home with 2 gas fireplaces, plenty of seating and a huge kitchen with all the supplies. Great hiking trails right from the deck up the mountain. Lots of deer sightings and other wildlife. This was a last minute rental and the owners were very helpful in making it happen quickly and responded right away. I highly recommend these owners and this condo and definitely plan to visit again. Stop looking and rent this place! I rate it a 9 out of 10 and I'm very picky. I'd give it a 10 if the condo was at the top of the mountain with higher views.

  • Our stay at the condo on Shawnee Peak was very positive. The rooms were spacious and the amenities provided were more then adequate. My family and I made use of some of the videos provided and the children played some of the games provided. We were very close by some of our relatives who live in Bridgton and so visiting with them was very convenient as well. Being this is more of a winter condo location, using it in the summer was a quiet time for other units to be in use. So, we had lots of privacy and lack of traffic. We would definitely consider renting it again in the future.

  • Sophie, we simply had a fantastic time in your condo! It was clean, beautiful, and had more than everything we needed. My five year old daughter turned to me at one point and said, "this feels like home." And it was perfect for my two year-old son, too, who was in desperate need of afternoon naps after morning skiing! All of us loved the fireplaces, too. Thank you, so very much!!

We spent the first few days -- which were unusually rainy -- touring Bates, Bowdoin & Colby -- and then had splendid sunshine for Saturday. This really is a great, beautiful spot.     Hi Sophie- Just wanted to let you know that we had wonderful time at Shawnee. You really have a special place there. I loved everyting about it! We actually where going to call and she if we could stay an extra night, but then decided against it. The mountain was actually closed on Wednesday, but we did get 2 1/2 days of great skiing in. Our body's are pretty sore. We will certainly be back and pass the word to our friends. Thanks again! I wish I was still there. Deb

    Wonderful Slopeside Home BC Barrington, NH Date Submitted: Jan 27, 2008 Date of Stay: Jan 2008 This home really exceeded our expectations. One of the first things my wife said was “this place is better in person than it looks in the pictures, and I thought it looked nice in the pictures.” While here, we looked at some of the new homes for sale, and this one is by far the best! The location couldn’t be better next to the slope. It was a really nice surprise to look out the windows and see the groomers driving right by in the evening. My 4 year old son especially liked that. The selection of board games was nice for adults and kids. It was very nice to have the free Wi-Fi available. My computer & iPhone connected immediately without a problem. We own a vacation home at a different ski resort and have found number of little touches that we think will make our home better too.
