Amazing Modern Downtown Penthouse Condo With FABULOUS Location... A Total Gem!

My husband and I have now rented this condo three times in a row and can't say enough about our experiences there. The owners couldn't be lovelier and we always look forward to their warm, gracious greeting. The condo is modern and very clean. The location is truly fabulous - steps from the best downtown shopping (Lower Johnson or "LoJo" as the locals call it), highly recommended restaurants, the inner harbour, Starbucks... and a fantastic breakfast/lunch place literally next door (Lady Marmalade). We loved having free gated/secure parking, in-suite laundry, wireless internet, a fantastic ensuite, and a terrace for suntanning. As someone with many food restrictions the kitchen was perfect for cooking (well-stocked with all appliances, pots/pans, utensils, etc.) and we loved having a BBQ on the terrace. Victoria is a fabulous city to find fresh, local, organic food so we were able to prepare some great dishes. For anyone who values 5-star hotels and resorts but is looking for something different and/or cost-effective, we can honestly say that this condo truly is a gem! We look forward to many more stays!

We have always had good results using the vrbo website but this experience was truly exceptional. This is a beautiful apartment, very clean, well maintained and brilliantly situated in the heart of downtown Victoria.Plenty of room and very comfortable for us and our teenage son. The pictures and description are so accurate that I felt I'd been there before.It was a pleasure to meet Janet and David who are friendly, helpful and professional. We have already recommended this property to family and know we will re-book on future visits. Thank you for providing this fantastic accommodation at such a reasonable price. We eagerly look forward to our next visit.

We stayed almost a month and truly enjoyed the condo itself and the location downtown. The condo is appointed much more fully than any other vacation accomodation we have had. We appreciated the wi-fi, the long distance phone plan, and the generous variety of kitchen utensiles. We were pleased to be able to have friends for dinner in a pleasant and relaxing environment. Overall, this is one the best accomodations we have ever had and it was definitely the best value. Thank you to Janet and David who were most gracious.

Wonderful Penthouse Condo, a home away from home...

July 2011, our third stay in Janet & David's wonderful condo in centrally located downtown Victoria. We love the unit and its location; we walk to everything, though do not mind catching the city bus to other towns and interesting sites. We enjoy eating at the Irish Times Pub and Il Terrazzo Ristorante. We are especially grateful for the full sized washer & dryer and the refrigerator to store leftovers and snacks. Though available, we do not use the stove or the dishwasher or gas grill on the patio. We plan to return next June-July 2012 for 2 weeks (we were hooked after we stayed in July 2009 and June 2010). David and Janet are super nice, gracious, kind "smiley" people.

Fabulous Penthouse Condo-Great Location

We stayed in this condo for three nights in the beginning of June at the end of a two week trip through Alberta and British Columbia. The condo is very inviting with modern decor and all of the conveniences. The kitchen was top notch--but we never used it because there were so many great places to eat within easy walking distance. We highly recommend Pescatores Seafood and Grill, the Irish Times Pub, and Sam's Deli. The weather was great during our stay and we slept each night with the balcony door in the bedroom open. The sounds of seagulls lulled us to sleep. We particularly appreciated the full size HE washer and dryer because we were leaving for an Alaskan Cruise from Seattle after our stay. We loved the Internet access and all of the upscale amenities. The location was great, close to restaurants, coffee shops, and the inner harbour. Dealing with Janet was great. I don't think you can find a better deal in Victoria. We highly recommend the Monaco Loft.

Location and luxury!

I stayed in the condo for two nights with two friends, in Fall 2010, and had a fabulous experience. The condo is well-appointed, with modern decor, and a very comfortable queen sized bed. Although the weather was not conducive to using the large patio, seeing it outside the floor-to-ceiling windows made for a feeling of space. It would be fantastic to use in the summer, with a barbecue and patio set for dinners outdoors. The condo was clean and very well-maintained. I also appreciated having internet access. The location couldn't be more convenient: steps away from coffee shops, a couple of blocks to the inner harbour, and shopping all around. You simply wouldn't get this type of accommodation for this price at a hotel in Victoria. Highly recommended!

We have enjoyed our stays at this condo immensly. First of all the owners are extremely cordial & do everything possible to facilitate the visit. The unit itself is bright & modern. It is fully equiped for all household needs. The location is perfect for anyone without a vehicle to take in all of Victoria's downtown. And every service imaginable seems to be just a few steps away. We have many happy memories from our stays here & have no hesitstion in recommending this as a great holiday accomodation.

Absolutely perfect and safe location for 2 "seniorish" female friends enjoying a shopping and sightseeing trip.
