WOW...The deck was amazing! We spent most of our vacation relaxing in the sun on the fabulous deck next to the ocean! The deck was worth every penny that we spent to stay at this condo. The condo is very well stocked with everything you need! Plus, it is only a 30 minute walk on the beach to the city of Puerto Morelos, where you can buy fresh fish daily. We took our daily walks into town to buy groceries and stock up on supplies. We felt safe during our entire stay...the city of Puerto Morelos seemed very safe and everyone was very friendly and helpful. It is a very pleasant and quiet mexican town. Tomas was a great help, but doesn't speak much english, so I recommend having basic knowledge of spanish words to request his assitance or bring a small spanish dictionary. Florencia was also a great help and responded very quickly to any questions and concerns we had during our stay...she is fluent in english. We would all recommend this condo to our family and friends. I hope to have an opportunity to return in the future.

We just loved Puerto Morelos! The terrace and it's furniture was very wonderful! The kitchen was also great and very complete, we were surprised of the great quality of all the accessories: great knifes, pans and we were so happy with the expresso machine. The place was very clean, Marlene who came to clean the place was very nice and did a very great job.Tomas was very nice and helpful whenever we needed help. Loved the beach, and the view day and night, the moments on the terrace were a must!

We have stayed at beautiful Casbah del Mar three times in the past 5 years, and always enjoy ourselves immensely. It's an amazing property (the best in Puerto Morelos, in my opinion), and the terrace cannot be beat! I highly recommend this property to anybody who is looking for a relaxing getaway right on the beach, with outstanding views of the Caribbean and plenty of adventures nearby. Book it now without further hesitation!

This home is ideally located just steps from the ocean. The quality furnishings were charming, colorful and of very good taste. It seems a lot of care and regard for enjoyment went into provisioning this house with elegant dishware, modern appliances, quality kitchen items, and outstanding bedroom linens and living room decor. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean tide through our open window, and watching the sunrise each morning from the comfort of our bed, as well as breakfast on the immense terrace which had amazing family size patio furniture and plenty of smart shade from the brilliant sun! A para sailing boat picked us up in front of the home and we enjoyed non-stop water activities within minutes of the house. The local restaurants were very reasonably priced and we were quickly reminded of what fresh, quality home made food tasted like. With the owner's informative notebook for guests, we felt that we did not waste a moment of wondering where to go or how to get there. This was a very memorable 3 night stay and we felt like locals in Puerto Morelos instead of tourists in a touristy locale. The Mayan people were friendly, down to earth, and very caring toward us. For Tulum and Playa del Carmen, it was an easy 20 mins to an hour to see something different. We were struck by the cleanliness and attention to detail on how well the home was maintained in beautiful working order. Make sure to do some snorkeling and cave exploring as we did. The entire home experience was a surprising amount of luxury for very little cost. Time permitting, we would love to spend a week or longer at this outstanding vacation home. Thank you Elaine for our very special stay! It won't be forgotten.

Have to tell you that we spent the best nine days ever at your Casbah del Mar. Everything was just what we had been dreaming about. We wanted to fit in to the surroundings (not be a part of some maddening crowd) and your environment made that possible. We were transported to a simpler, less complicated place in time and it was all so very comfortable and welcoming. Florencia and Tomas were wonderful - always there for whatever need arose. It's so nice when the biggest problem you have is figuring out how to dial the cell phone to call for a taxi!!!! (Duh ... need to use the area code!) We also got acquainted with a few of the town's people - what a delight they are! It is for all these reasons (and many, many more) that we look forward to returning. We thank you for providing such a wonderful escape. Rick & Karen

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The Condo is spacious, VERY well stocked with anything you could imagine to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen is clean, and has everything needed to prepare some gourmet meal, and we DID!, Dining outside, under the stars, was unforgettable (on the nights or afternoons when we weren't enjoying some wonderful restaurants in town!) The attention to detail in the quality of the furnishings was noticed, and appreciated, especially the nice linens. We loved the pool area, and also, having the beach right there, gave us the chance to use both anytime we wanted! We snorkled, swam, RELAXED, and just enjoyed a week of fine company and fine food. A nice walk down the beach into town was a treat! The Casbah is a quiet retreat that is still nearby to some nightlife, and for some great day trips to see the sights. The people in Puerto Morelos, are so friendly, and eager to give amazing service to their visitors. We enjoyed the freshest fish and freshly made Ceviche straight off the local fishing boats! We are planning on making this a yearly destination for our Girlfriend's Getaway Weekend.

Our three week stay at Casbah Del Mar was absolutely wonderful. The terrace is where we spent most of our time; from 5:30 am to enjoy the sunrise untill 10 or so at night when the days' (beach walking, book reading, spanish classes, cooking, eating fresh fish grilled on the BBQ, perfecting Margueritas) activities took their toll and sent us off to the luxury of comfortable cozy beds to dream up the next day's adventures. Muchas Gracias Elaine and John ps. the daily walk to Puerto Morelos was just the right distance to justify a croissant and espresso ! And we did enjoy the town immensely. Friendly people, lovely town square and of course the great fish market cooperative. Definitely a place to revisit soon

Great vacation at Casbah Del Mar - this condo is marvelous! Roomy and well laid out, with everything that you may need in the condo made available - DVD's, CD's, books, Wi-Fi Internet connection, satellite TV, suntan lotion, BBQ grill - did I mention the kitchen is equipped to the hilt! The terrace is awesome - if only there was a way to decrease the wind! The location is great and the surrounding area quiet. And the snorkeling up front is surprisingly good (although you do have to venture out a bit). Highly recommended!

My husband and I recently rented this condo for a week. -- not enough time! The condo could not have been better! Our highlight of the condo was the enormous patio! We spent most of our time there. The interior is also comfortable and decorated nicely. Kitchen is very well appointed. The town of Puerto Morelos is a wonderful little village with many fine restaurants and nice people. We will be returning!

4 of us rented this condo in December for a quick getaway. When we arrived it was even better than we had imagined! The other reviews are true - the balcony is amazing but is surpassed by the ocean view. We opted out of using the pool but rather jumped into the ocean which is only a few steps from the condo. The condo had all of the modern conveniences we needed but still maintained a relaxed and cozy feel. Down the beach about a 30 min brisk walk was Puerto Morelos, the local fishing village where you can easily find restaurants, supplies and gifts. On our way we enjoyed a dinner of freshly caught fish served right on the beach under a tiki hut. We rented a jeep for the trip so getting around wasn't a problem although the roads to the condo were pretty poorly maintained - lots of potholes, so the jeep came in handy! Overall the property Owners did a fantastic job at providing lots of information and advice on "things to do". We felt comfortable and safe on our trip and are definitely looking forward to doing this again.
Owner response:Thank you for the nice review. We always get so jazzed when folks enjoy the best little town in the Yucatan. Our most common comment is "When we came, we had a long list of things we wanted to do, but at your place, we just ended up staring at the ocean for days on end." A real vacation. - Elaine and John

John,I wanted to thank you so much for allowing us to use your condo in Puerto Morelos. We had such a great time as the weather was perfect and the location was fantastic. We fell in love with that sleepy little town, enjoying the culture, shopping and especially all of the restaurants. Dan and Sandra were easy to work with and always available if we needed them. Being right on the beach was awesome. We enjoyed long walks up and down the beach as well as the great snorkeling out at the reef. The condo itself was clean and comfortable but by far the best part is that great terrace. When we weren’t on the beach, we spent our time out there. All of the outdoor furniture was great and the kids especially loved the hammocks. We didn’t want to leave and had one of our most memorable vacations yet! Thanks again,Brice McPherson

Hi John, My husband and I stayed at your condo last year the last week of Feb. I don't know if I ever thanked you. Your place is very wonderful! It was all of the little things that made all the difference. The comfy couches (inside and out!). The nice linens, the well-appointed kitchen (especially the juicer that we put to good use) and best of all- all of the great outdoor seating. We are hoping to come back again this year. I hope you and your family are doing well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! Sincerely, Joan Tognacci

John,Our trip was AMAZING in every way, and the perfect getaway. Honestly, my students are going to be so thankful for the two weeks I spent in the Mayan Riviera between semesters. I’m not typically a sunrise person (musician, go figure), but I woke up every day without fail to go sit out on that beautiful terrace and greet the new day. From there, our time was filled with yoga, swimming, adventuring, eating, drinking, and much joyful play. You and Elaine have really created a special place, and we are so grateful that you have chosen to share it with others. If there is anything I can do to promote your little slice of paradise, please don’t hesitate to ask. I truly hope to return some day, and I can’t thank you enough for a wonderful, amazing trip that may have very well thrust me into some really healthy and exciting new life choices!Namaste,Rob
