Wasn't very well equipped. 2 tea towels, 1 dish cloth (two week stay) no cleaning supplies..including a mop. Bathroom towels were supposed to be white, they were grey. The bed was very uncomfortable. They had a random piece of foam on top of a very soft mattress.

Owner response:I was surprised by this review. My Guest and I had over 24 e-mails go back and forth before their arrival. We shared information on new restaurants and also discounts available at the check-in desk. The check-in desk also offers additional services, including a variety of Housekeeping options. This information is also on the bed when guests enter my condo. If my Guests would have sent an e-mail, or a phone call, I could have had my mop replaced and explained that the foam was on top of the mattress because some guests prefer a softer bed. Removal of the foam would have provided the comfort they desired. Some of their issues could have been handled through the check-in desk. Any guest should contact the owner immediately to resolve any issue. A pleasurable vacation brings people back to our Maui homes. Mahalo, Kevin

Condo was super clean, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Main bathroom was large with a big shower. Easy walk to beach and pool, beach chairs in closet, and check in was a breeze. Easy walk to Freds, Mooses and 808 Bistro.

We stayed in the condo over the Christmas holidays with our son. The condo is beautifully decorated and is perfectly located in South Kihei. The tennis courts and pool are really well maintained. It is right across from the beach to watch the gorgeous sunsets! Kevin was really accommodating and a delight to rent from! I would highly recommend his condo.

Pleasant Stay

The owners did a really nice job remodeling the unit. The kitchen was superb. We ate in for breakfast and lunch. The bathrooms were small, but adequate. It was really easy to check in and check out of Kamaole Sands. Kevin responded to every email we had in a timely fashion and it was easy to book the unit through him. The location in Kihei is unbeatable. Walking to gorgeous Kam I beach is amazing. The unit has beach chairs and umbrellas for your use. There's a peekaboo view of the beach and sunset. The in-unit laundry was a big help. And the central air was very much appreciated. All in all a quiet peaceful stay. We had everything we needed. I would recommend to others. If I could change anything about the unit, I wish the towels and sheets were better quality.

Loved It! You condo was just as nice as you described. We love the location and look forward to our next trip this December. The condo is so clean and in excellent condition. This condo exceeded our expectations. Traveled to Maui to get married and stayed in Kevin's condo for a week in mid June. We were very pleased with the condition and interior decoration. Will definitely stay there again.

The condo is very nice, updated, clean and close to the beach, shops and restaurants. What's shown in the pictures are exactly what you'll get. The condo came with it's own parking space, cable, internet and fun stuff to use at the beach. It was great having A/C in the unit and the washer and dryer to wash our beach clothes. We did rent a car because we wanted to explore all of Maui, however, there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance and a bus line that runs right across the street. The beach is also directly across the street and we snorkled there and got to see awesome fish and turtles. We also spent time at the pool which was very nice and child friendly as the pool went from shallow to deep. Kevin is wonderful and he gave us great advice and answered all of our questions. The condo and the area were nice but what we especially enjoyed is that is was less hectic and more family oriented that most other places. We will be returning again next year.

This was our second stay at this property and, once again, had a wonderful experience. The owner makes the reservation/payment process a snap, the property management people are great and the property is IDEAL! It's located in such a perfect area to get around the island; watch the whales from the balcony each morning (we saw TONS of whales this year!), walk down to get a cup of coffee or a shaved ice in the afternoon and enjoy the pool in the evening- what could be better!?

My husband and I rented this condo and found it to be the perfect home away from home. It has everything you could possible want or need, and the photos are exactly as you see. The condo was very tastefully decorated. It was pure class. We would definitely stay there again. The location of the complex is ideal as well.

The condo was very nicely updated and everything is as advertised. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen which was well equipped. There's also a washer/dryer in the unit which helped tremendously when we forgot some extra clothing and needed to wash some clothes. Kameole Sands is an excellent place for kids with the pool & beach directly across the street. Kevin was extremely helpful, responsive and we wouldn't hesitate going back again.

The description was accurate and the pictures show how it really looks. The kitchen was great and we cooked nearly all meals inside. We also enjoyed quiet evenings watching DVDs on the big flat panel TV. The AC worked well the couple of times it was needed. There were beach toys and chairs to carry across the street to a great beach. The resort had a nice pool, workout room and BBQ grills. The resort had in-house Expedia representatives to explain tours and make reservations.

The photos and description of the property were excellent. We loved the location in Kihei - close to some great beaches (Kamaole Sands III across the street and Big Beach 10 minutes away). The beach chairs, boogie boards provided were really convenient as well. AC worked great, kitchen and bathrooms were clean and very modern. Close to some great restaurants and shopping and very easy to the major roadways to get to Lahaina and Kapalua, etc...(about 30 minutes away). Overall, we had a great time and would definitely like to come back and stay at this great condo again.

We Loved This Condo

My husband and I stayed at this condo in Jan 2009 with our 4 year old son and we absolutely loved it. It truly is a first class accommodation. Kevin was very helpful and quick to reply to my emails when I was inquiring about the property and booking it. He was also very kind to suggest places to see, things to do, and places to eat while in Maui. The condo is beautifully appointed with a gorgeous kitchen, fabulous bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The complex is also first class, with a very friendly and helpful booking agent at the main building who can suggest tours and make bookings for you. The grounds are beautiful and we found the other guests at the complex to be extremely friendly. I am a neat-freak and have a pretty high standard for rental accommodations, and I am pleased to say that this condo did not dissappoint me. It is within walking distance to some great restaurants and a short drive to many other shops and places to eat. The beach is right across the street too. We had the best vacation ever in Maui, due in large part to the fact that we felt right at home in this beautiful condo. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your island home with us!

Stayed October 8th through the 21st and wished it was longer. Beautiful condo, beautiful grounds, and lovely weather. The accomidations in the condo are top notch and were the best of the 5 couples we were with at Kamole Sands. Very close to good resturants, and the beaches just across the road were really nice. Condo has boogie boards and beach chairs which makes going out much more fun. So do yourself a favor and rent this place to enjoy the good life.

My husband and I stayed in this condo from Oct.25 to Nov.11,2008, and everything was as listed, except no beach towels.The condo was very clean, and recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved the central air. Everything went very smooth from the check in to the day we left. I would definitely recommend this condo to all my friends, I would even stay in it again. This condo was well within walking distances to very good restaurants , shopping and the beach. The pool and hot tubs were awesome. If you want to see the surrounding sites, you need to rent a car. The on site Expedia activitiy Center were very helpful. The Hawaiian party on Wed. afternoon around the pool was a good way to see everyone who was at the condos during your stay. We were really impressed with Kamaole Sands. You have to go Cafe O Lei, and the Five Palms for a good dinner,and Lu Lu"s for Pu Pus. Cant wait to go back. V& B

A Vacation the Way it should be

A Picture is worth a thousand words, and the photos are 100% accurate of what you will be getting with this rental. Why settle for a simple condo when you can stay in luxury. We were in Maui to get married and everybody who came to our condo was amazed at how nice our place was. The central air is very nice as you are adjusting to the heat that Hawaii provides compaired to your home. After several days, you didn't need to run it all day, but it was a nice option after a long day on the beach. The Condo is perfectly situated near 2 very nice beaches, Kamole Sands 2 and 3. Good sunsets were just a walk across the street away. Several fun resturants nearby. If you are worried about too many tourists, the Kihei area is wonderful for getting away from the tourist swamped Lahaina. Kamole sands is very close to the Wailea area with the nice shops and trendy resturants. The condo grounds are very well maintained, and the pool and hot tub are very nice if you are not up for going to the beach. The condo had some nice beach chairs, and boogie boards for you to use. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation where they wish the place they were staying was their home.

We stayed in this unit for 6 days of our honeymoon. It was very clean, new, and nicely decorated, especially the kitchen. The unit is at least as nice as the pictures look. The grounds are kept clean and the management service was responsive and easy to deal with. Lots to do in Kihei, but keep in mind this is more of a real town (and condo development) than a resort hotel like in Wailea or Kaanapali. Note that VRBO has a money back policy if you run in to anything fraudulent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui and one of the big pluses was staying in this beautifully remodeled condo. It was very nicely furnished and the kitchen was well stocked. The lighting in the condo really showed off its assets. We especially liked the location with its proximity to the beaches...just cross the street and there's the beach! We enjoyed the tennis facility too. The barbecue grills were also very new and very clean. The grounds are really kept up nicely. Another great feature is the internet access in the resort lobby. We would definitely love to come back! p.s. The owner is very efficient and answers his emails promptly!

We’re enjoying our last full day in the condo as I write this review (using the internet connection provided!). We’ve REALLY enjoyed everything this condo has to offer; the fully equipped kitchen has helped me to prepare many wonderful meals, the lanai has been the perfect spot to read the morning paper and have a cup of Kona coffee, the beautiful stone & tile showers have cleaned off all of the sandy/ salt water after our long days at the beach, the LARGE flat screen TV has entertained our 11 year old (more than I had hoped) and the pool & spa area has served as the perfect spot to bring some snacks and a good book and waste the day away. The value of this condo is the only thing not entirely evident on the website….this place is a BARGIN! We visited friends also renting a condo on Maui (in Napili) which was much smaller and not as nice as ‘ours’…. but more than double the price!! Ouch! We smiled politely when our friends bragged about their ‘great deal’ and came home to this amazing condo much more appreciative of this beautiful property at a VERY affordable price. I look forward to returning to this condo again.

My daughter and I stayed here at the Kamoale Sands during Spring Break March 2008. This condo was exactly what the owner said it would be. Very tastefully decorated, plenty of space, modern appliances, and very secure. It has every amenity of being at home with the adventure of being away! It is centrally located to all the activities we had planned for the week. There are several beaches within walking distance, various resturants, shopping, tennis, and a great pool! I would definitely recommend this spot and stay here again on a future visits. Maui is beautiful and I can still smell the flowers in the air from home. Thanks again Robert for a great vacation! FYI...Take the helicopter tour of the Eastside, a Luau, a sunset cruise (the whales are out this time a year...an ahh ha moment) and the ATV tour of the Kahoma Ranch.

What a great property, and very well maintained. Is everything that I expected and More. Location is great, close to the beach and activities. Even though I am a Dialysis Patient, & Dialyized 4times while in Maui, it didn't slow us down we had a great vacation, and will request to stay at this same property. The owners are very pleasant to work with and make your stay, a vacation you won't forget, & for me or other patients with Kidney failure you can travel and have fun like normal people, you just have to do more planning before you leave for your trip. My Dialysis treatments were great, just like at your home treatment centers, and they make it very easy for you as a visitor, so if your a dialysis patient, your can travel and have fun, you just have to get out there and do it. tks to the owners of the properties we stayed at and all the pleasant hawaaiin people who made our trip a great trip. we have been trying to plan a trip to hawaii for several years and have not been able to get my treatments as they were not taking vacationing patients but now there in a new treatment center and are able to take, patients and vaction. tks to everyone and hawaii for a great time
