In a small condo complex nestled between gated single-family communities, this Gulf view, two bedroom, 1200 sq. ft. condo is equipped to make your vacation as comfortable and memorable as possible. With no adjoining neighbors on either side, this 2nd story (top floor) getaway provides cheerful yet quiet living. The condo can accommodate 6 people maximum, and features one bedroom with a king sized bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds, and a sleeping room with a futon. The unit is in the 2nd closest building to the swimming pool and the boardwalk that leads directly to the Gulf of Mexico.
You'll have everything you need should you choose to cook; otherwise, the local restaurants will take care of you! The kitchen is equipped with a built-in microwave, electric range, dishwasher, and disposal, plus all the appropriate china, silverware, bakeware, knives, etc. There's a washer and dryer in the unit; plus, each bathroom is equipped with a built-in electric hair dryer.
The kitchen opens into the dining room and living room which are open to each other for maximum space and light. The unit features FREE wireless high speed internet, so bring your laptop, iPhone, or iPad, and stay connected to the outside world. There are three TVs, a DVD player, and a telephone including FREE long distance calling. (NOTE: Dial-up internet can only be used if the access number is local. Using your computer to access a long distance modem e.g. dial-up internet or FAXING is not allowed and will be billed at $.20 per minute).
There is a Gulf of Mexico view for you to enjoy from the condo; or you can sit pool-side, or just comb the beach for shells or dolphin-watching. The Gulf is accessible via a boardwalk and the boardwalk has sitting areas from which you can enjoy the sunrises and sunsets.
Our rental rates are very competitive, and we offer a discount for our returning guests. There is a $300 Security Deposit required for us to take the unit off the availability calendar and designate it as reserved. The deposit is returnable following the post-departure inspection.
Surf Club has only 40 units and thus there is plenty of peace and quiet; and the beach is not crowded- no side by side chaise lounges. This a no smoking unit, and your deposit will be retained if any evidence of smoking is detected. Additionally, the Surf Club does not allow pets for non-owners.
Security deposits are refundable if cancellation occurs 4 weeks before scheduled arrival. Otherwise, they will be kept unless the unit can be rerented. Please check your calendar and ours, then contact us to book your best vacation ever!!

Why the Owner Chose Dauphin Island
Dauphin Island is unique because the geography has limited high rise condos, retail outlets, movie theaters, and recreation attractions that create traffic and people jams. Those who like a laid back community atmosphere thrive at DI. At our beach you can erect a tent and leave it up all week without worry of theft or someone asking you to move it. You don't have to step over people to get to the beach; and you can walk to the golf course if you wish. Once on the island most people don't want to leave it but just want to enjoy the change from the everyday hubbub.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I carry my fishing gear to the beach at the condo and surf fish without worrying about too many sunbathers. I enjoy the bike trails that the town has built for islanders' use. I also enjoy the few but good seafood restaurants, the fresh seafood outlet, and the convenience store located on the island. I also enjoy the bird sanctuary, walking the beach, and playing golf on an uncrowded course.

We love our time at Dauphin Island, particularly since we have family in the same complex. Because we live in Texas and enjoy travelling cross-country in our Airstream trailer, we don't get to come to Dauphin Island as much as we'd like, so we've opted to share our little paradise with family, friends and guests who want a laid-back, refreshing and memorable getaway in this serene, sunny, breezy (and "birdiest") coastal town.

We've never been down here and this place was GREAT! VERY clean and nicely furnished - very roomy and perfect for families with kids. The beach was really close and fun - no crowds. and pool was great too. Owners were so accomodating and communicated really well. Property mgrs were so sweet - Will definitely go back - Thank you Chris!

Our D.I. stay at this well-described condo was fabulous! The property was clean and well-maintained. The "locals" were friendly and helpful and we left the island with new friends. I have already recommended this property to some of my friends. Best places to eat according to me: Lighthouse Cafe (breads, pastries and breakfast), Skinner's (local seafood, fresh and/or steamed while you wait) and Common Loon (local grilled seafood) Don't miss the Bird Sanctuary, especially around the lake. Thanks for a great first trip to D.I.

We had a very peaceful and relaxing vacation here in May of 2011. Spacious, clean and comfortable condo. The grandchildren loved the privacy of the beach and the saltwater pool at the condo. Nice area and nice complex to spend some time. Kitchen was stocked with the basic staples (the owner even went out and made a list before our visit of what was there) and all the utensils you would need to cook a great meal were there. Very cheerful decor in the condo. Everything you would need is there and the owner even called during our stay to see if we needed anything. WiFi works great and if you go to the pool area your cell phone will work nicely too. Not to worry! There is a house phone with free long distance. We will definately stay here again when we get to spend another week on Dauphin Island!

Although we don't have a huge inventory of games & videos for the kids, we've tried to provide just about everything else you might need- so you don't have to rent a U-Haul to lug all your "stuff" for a week.
