    A short shuttle ride away from the village at Northstar, this immaculate two-bed condo is renovated, warm, and very well-appointed. The free shuttle can be called on demand and we never waited more than two minutes. Quiet, with serene views of mountains and pine trees from the living area and bedrooms, the living area has vaulted ceilings and an open feel. It was a pleasure for the non-skier to hang out and read or use the wireless internet during the day. We cooked apres-ski dinners in the well-appointed kitchen. A very relaxing weekend and we would certainly rent again.

    We have been coming to the Truckee/Donner/Tahoe area since 1975. We think it's one of the greatest areas in the world to just get away. For many years we trailered and camped through out the whole area. Over the past few years we have been renting various units, mostly individual homes. This was our first shot at renting a condo. We hit a home the run the first time out. We cooled our heels for 3 days and nights. Visited our favorite haunts during the day and just hung out and played games at night. The deluxe NorthStar condo provided all of the comforts of home and was a perfect location from which to launch our Dailey trips. The unit was tastily decorated, felt fresh and clean and just generally comfortable. A pleasure to be in. All in all a good place to stay whether for 3 nights, or a week or more. We would return to Michael's place in a heartbeat the next time we have a desire to visit Truckee or any where else in the area. Richard and Grace

  • An absolute delight

    This property was an absolute delight to visit, (we stayed three nights, but I wish it was more). The owner, Michael, is communicative and responsive. The Town-home itself is in a great location, quite, super clean, and relaxing. The patio offers an outstanding view of the valley below, and whether you enjoy reading, conversation, or just relaxing, it's perfect. Northstar operates a free shuttle service, with pickup and delivery practically from the front door, and only a three minute drive to the Village. The Village at Northstar has tons of shops and pretty much anything we needed, including quality grocery items, and of course, much more. The Village is family oriented, and at the same time a great place to unwind and relax among the various seating areas, (you can even get drinks). A great place to relax, renew, and recreate.

    Our family of 4 enjoyed staying in this condo for 4 nights over President's weekend. While it is rather remote in the condo neighborhood just outside of the village, the shuttles were frequent and took only minutes to get to the resort. The property itself was comfortable (especially the couch and beds), but it was not spacious (entryway is on the landing of the staircase, no counter space in the bathrooms, and no room to close the bathroom door without standing out of the way) or luxurious (thin panel doors with rough trim and dated fixtures). The high points were the kitchen appliances (coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator), and the efficiency of the furnace. Another strong point was the professionalism and courtesy of the owner. He was especially reliable and communicative by email. Overall, an enjoyable but not lavish, experience for us.

    Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

    Upon arriving, everything was as stated it would be. The owner was very helpful, and responsive in getting everything booked, and answering any questions. All ammenities you would need to make yourself right at home are included. We look forward to renting this condo for future trips to the area.

    Although we had originally been a bit nervous about the size of the condo (we had four adults staying there and weren't sure if the living room seating would be enough for us all), we were well and truly thrilled we had booked this condo as soon as we walked through the front door. The big leather couch seats at least 3, there is an amazing amount of light and space in the living room, the decor was elegantly rustic, without being 'kitschy' and the kitchen (for those of you who plan on doing a lot of cooking) is WONDERFUL. Tons of counter space, every pan you may need already there and a full-sized refrigerator for as many groceries as you can bring with you. Our favorite feature (aside from the NorthStar Shuttle Stop being a 30 second walk from the property), was the wood burning gas fireplace. You get the crackle and smell of a proper wood fire, without the 30 minute hassle of trying to keep it lit! We LOVE this property, highly recommend it, and plan on staying here as often as we can.

    It was a lovely unit, clean and well stocked. Loved the view down into Martis Valley. We like to read at night and the only negative comment would be there were no reading lamps in the bedrooms. We would definitely stay at this condo again as it was so easy to reserve, to locate the unit via directions and handling of the necessary paperwork was quick and eacy

    My husband and I went there for July 4th weekend, love the location and condo itself. Had a great experience, very convenient to other places in Tahoe. We will rent again if we have chance to go back, hopefully soon!

    Our family of 5 stayed here (2 parents, 3 year old, 17 month old and grandma) for a weekend and we found the condo to be very conveniently located. The shuttle stop to Northstar was just outside of the small parking area which was very manageable with our little ones. Also, it was easy for us to access the many restaurants in Truckee as well as within the Northstar resort. The unit itself was very clean and well-stocked for our needs. We did a really last minute booking and the owner was awesome. He returned all of my emails/phone calls in a very timely manner and turned around instructions and information about the property seamlessly. We plan to return again for the next snow season.

    "Review......This is a great condo for anyone looking to stay in the Tahoe area. Located right in the Northstar village there is a free shuttle to the village and mountain. Use of the pool and hot tub also. Conveniently loacated to the other Tahoe area ski resorts. Very clean and newly furnished... wonderful kitchen. Everything you need for a great vacation. The owner is wonderful to work with. Our family of four was very comfortable. "

    This condo is fantastic. It was clean, comfortable and the furnishings were very nice. The owner was responsive and very helpful in answering all of our questions. The location was perfect, a quick shuttle ride to the village, and the view was incredible. The photos are very accurate. I would definitely recommend this property!

    This was our first experience with a VRBO rental. The condo was wonderful. Great location and spacious. Plenty of room for a family with 2 children. The owner was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. We would be happy to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others traveling to the Tahoe area.

    We went right after Christmas and I enjoyed the place quite a lot. The living area is very comfortable with nice furniture and the kitchen is also excellent. Did quite a bit of cooking. It should have all you need. Wish we stayed for a week. The Recreation Center at the Northstar village was a bit disappointing but my mood may have been influenced by the big storm we encountered. Pool and Spa are outside. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

    We were actually moved to this unit from another unit where the heat was not in working order. This unit was very clean and updated throughout. The views out to the family were a bonus and the entire unit feels well lit. The owner has done a nice job of providing all the basics and has very good quality stuff in the unit. The shuttle stop for Northstar village is very conveniently located within a hundred feet or so.

    We really enjoyed staying at this condominium for our vacation. It is decorated very nicely, is very clean, and was in excellent condition. The family found it to be extremely comfortable, and the location is convenient to the base village.

    I highly recommend this condo!! We have been going to Northstar, and staying in the Indian Hills condos, for 5 years in a row with our two kids. This is BY FAR the best condo that we've rented. Everything was so new, nicely organized, and super clean. Even the towels and linens were so nice and clean. The view is beautiful and there's comfortable patio furniture too. Every year I've been looking for a different place to stay, always hoping that I can find some place cleaner and nicer. I won't need to look anymore now that I found this condo. And an added bonus was that Michael, the owner, was really easy to communicate with. Thank you for sharing your amazing condo!!

    My family stayed in this wonderful condo on Christmas 2007.Family room is filled with light from the huge windows opened to a magnificent view. We also liked the location – short ride on shuttle to the village.Had a great time there, will definitely go again some time.

    I stayed here over the weekend with my family for a weekend of snowboarding at Northstar. We were very pleased with the property. It was clean, spacious and had all the amenities you could want. It is located very close to Northstar and just steps away from the free shuttle to Northstar. The view from the back windows is amazing. We plan to rent this property again in the future.
