The house, grounds and view are breathtaking. Alex the property manager is invaluable in making your stay one to remember. The villa is advertised as 5 bedroom suites, not exactly! The master suite is on the top floor with an almost identical suite below at pool level, both these suites have bathtubs and they are ultra spacious. Also at pool level is a smaller suite with shower only. There is a very small interior bedroom (not a suite) on the pool level with a twin bed and a very small functional bathroom with shower and a small window. Below the pool is a spacious suite with tub and shower appropriately called the "honeymoon suite" for the privacy it offers. The "honeymoon suite" requires some edification, it is not directly connected to the home and in addition to the muted lighted pathway you need a flashlight to wind your way through the gardens and up hill to get to the house, you also need to be relatively fit(no disabilities) to walk back and forth to the main house. This home is for adults, there is a stunning large reflection pool on the main level where a child could simply fall over the edge, also the gardens and walk way cascade over the cliff. One false step on those steps and you are getting an aerial view of Huatulco. If this house meets your needs you will have a fabulous time.

Our group of ten just returned from out second stay at Villa Encantada. We don't normally go back to the same place twice but we made and exception after staying here in 2009 and are we glad we did. We have traveled for many years in Mexico; in resorts and villas; and I can safely say that this is the best! Alex, the administrator and Maribel our cook were absolutely fantastic. The meals were fantastic and Alex took great care of us. Huatulco is one of the best places I have found for just relaxing and this villa makes it the best. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Encantada! If you decide to go, please say Hola! to Alex for the nuts from Minnesota
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.
