The Rocky Mountains have so much to offer whether it's Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. This Spring and Summer, enjoy fly-fishing on the nearby Fraser River (contact Jeff 970-726-5231 at Grand Fly Fishing). SolVista (3-minute drive) turns into an awesome bike park in June, complete with mountain biking trails and a pump track. The 2009 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships and the Mountain States Cup #7 Sol Survivor will be held here. Free chairlift rides (it even holds your bike!) takes you to the top of the mountain. Enjoy a picnic and hike one of the many mountain trails. If you like to golf, Granby Ranch has there own Nicklaus designed 18-hole Headwaters Golf Course. Grand Lake (20-minute drive) is the quinessential summer mountain vacation town. Rent a pontoon or paddle boat and relax on the beautiful lake surrounded by mountains or stroll the quaint streets with unique shops and restaurants. There is also horseback riding, go-cart racing, putt-putt, or hiking (easy) to the majestic waterfall. The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is here where you can see moose and elk.
In the Winter, you can ski or snowboard at the family-friendly SolVista Basin with terrain park (rails, jumps, half-pipe) and newly remodeled lodge with great new restaurant (3-minute drive) or world-class Winter Park Ski Resort (20-minute drive). At night, there is a big tubing hill (ride the lift and they bring the tubes up for you) as well as night skiing on the weekends at SolVista! You can also enjoy cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog-sledding, ice-skating, and the hot-sulphur springs!
Our beautiful condo in the heart of Grand County, Colorado, is located at The Lodge at Ten Mile Creek in Granby Ranch which is halfway between Winter Park and Grand Lake. Our unit is very convenient on the first floor just a few steps away from parking (a huge plus when you have children and luggage). There are two new community hot tubs. During the ski season, the SolVista shuttle picks up and drops off at our complex. It's ideal for one large family (like ours) or two families wanting to share. If you need even more space, we have connections with another owner of a two-bedroom condo in our building.
The master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, TV, large walk-in closet, and attached master bathroom. (2 people)
The second bedroom also has a queen-sized bed and TV with DVD player. (2 people)
The third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed plus an inflatable full-sized mattress and TV, DVD player, and GameCube with games perfect for the kids. (5 kids)
We have a very comfortable (Pottery Barn) queen-sized sofa bed in the living room with a large TV and DVD/CD player. (2 people)
In addition, we have an extra twin-sized inflatable mattress that can be placed in any of the rooms. (1 kid)
Our dining table seats 6 people and the breakfast bar an additional 4 people.
Our kitchen has everything you need for cooking from a pancake griddle to a roasted turkey. And feel free to use our stock of spices and condiments. We also have an outdoor gas grill on the patio. There is a new City Market grocery store and Starbucks located just a two-minute drive away.
We welcome you to enjoy our home away from home!
(We also own a 2 master suite bedrooms with 2 bathrooms unfurnished condo 1052 sq. ft. that is for rent on a long-term basis)

Hi there!
Our names are Karl and Michelle and we have four daughters that range in age from 6 to 13. We are originally from Michigan and moved to Colorado because we absolutely love it here! We prefer the climate and all four seasons that can be enjoyed in the Rocky Mountain state.
Why the Owner Chose Sol Vista
We wanted to find a place in the mountains that we could escape to and call our home away from home. Somewhere where there was plenty of outdoor activities to keep us entertained all year-round. Granby Ranch is the perfect place for us!
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
We love Sol Vista Basin because in the winter it is very family-friendly and no one can get lost because all the ski runs funnel down to the main lodge. And also it's affordable, so all our girls have learned to ski and snowboard here. My husband especially likes that Winter Park is just a 20-minute drive away, so if he feels the need for a bigger challenge...off he goes! I haven't even mentioned the hiking, biking, boating, and so much more that is nearby. We hope you choose to experience what mountain living is all about!
