  Quaint little place, cozy and clean. Perfect for our two kids who LOVED the loft that was big enough for just them to hang out in! Trickiest part was the stairs, which we were aware would be snow covered, but made the treck with our luggage a little more iffy. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect for a family of 4!!!

  Me and my boyfriend stayed in this cozy chalet for a weekend on the slopes. The chalet was great, very clean, cozy. The wood burning fire place was awesome as it snowed while we were there. Off the porch was a great view and a waterfall is within walking distance. It was in a great location if you are interested in hitting the slopes, only 1/2 mile. Brad was great to deal with, very prompt and professional. We were having such a good time he even let us stay for another day when we asked him on the fly. I would definately stay here again.

  This cute two bedroom house is in a perfect location for skiing at Beech Mtn. It is very convenient to a good ski rental place and to the slopes. It was clean, well maintained and had all the basic necessities for cooking. The furnishings and decor are attractive and the beds are very comfortable. The owner was extremely nice and spent a great deal of time talking with us by phone and answering all of our questions ahead of time. He was very honest in telling us that there are a number of steps leading from the parking spot by the road down to the house, and that the bathrooms are somewhat small. It had snowed before we arrived, which was great for skiing, but we had to scrape and shovel the snow and ice off of the steps. Overall, we would recommend this property to others, unless they cannot physically negotiate the steps to the house. This house offers a wonderful value for a comfortable, convenient, and economical getaway!

  Owner response: Thank you, it is important to note that Serenity Now is a hillside chalet, and has several flights of stairs to the streetside entrance. Anyone with an injury or handicap limiting stair climbing ability should note this. The benefit is, once inside the house, there is a great sense of privacy and seclusion, with no other houses in view, yet the ski slopes, pool, and shops of Beech Mountain are minutes away. As a clarification, the main bathroom is a standard size with a full tub and shower, and the secondary bathroom is smaller, with a shower stall only.

  The stay at this chalet was perfect. Easy to find, and lovely scenery. We enjoyed going to everything so close, anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour.Was able to fit a lot of things to do in a long weekend. The chalet itself was a great size for our family of 5 with 3 little ones, and never even used the loft. Even enjoyed a little quiet time at Lake Coffey just down the hill and around the bend. Go out the backdoor and you could walk to it. The owner was great to work with in every way we needed. Would definitely return for another visit. Freds store had anything needed for a quick grab and a foodlion is within 10-15 minutes also some great places to eat close by.

  Location was perfect to get to the slopes, the kitchen had all of the cookware one would need, the view is great, there is no one around, we were allowed to bring our pug, and the owner was very helpful and great to work with.

  This was a great cozy cabin located really close (1/2 mile) to the ski slopes which was a HUGE plus for skiers coming to the area, not to mention it was a great for the $$$!! House was easily accessible and roads clear even though snow was knee deep in areas. Owner was great to deal with and was quick to return any questions I had regarding the stay, Thanks so much!!!! Hope we will get to enjoy it again next year on our yearly ski trips!!!!

  We recently stayed at this cabin during our ski trip. Before when we went skiing, we had only stayed in hotels, but this was way better than a hotel. It's a half a mile from the slopes (Ski Beech)and it's got everything you would need. We had one couple in our group and two other adults. One adult slept in the guest room, and one stayed in the small, open loft area. I looked all around for a cabin in the area, and there were none that were this size (more than one bedroom) at such a great price. And Brad was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a cozy mountain cabin!

  The owner was easy to work with, quick to respond to questions over email and accommodating. Two couples enjoyed the coziness of the house for the start of 2009. It is centrally located, but also very secluded. We recommend Serenity Now.

  This house is perfect for a peaceful mountain getaway. Surrounded by trees with a babbling brook near by, you will feel your troubles slip away as you sit on the wrap-around deck sipping the beverage of your choice. Highly recommend this lovely home.

  I stayed at Serenity Now! in early October 2007. It was very peaceful and clean. The back deck which is elevated and stretches across the entire back of the house was awesome and private. This is a great house for families or couples who want to get away for the weekend.

Cancellation policy:

RENTAL AGREEMENT Serenity Now! SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT The rental fee and a separate deposit of $250 are required to hold your reservation. We must receive a personal check or money order within 10 days of initial booking. Once it is received, your dates are officially reserved. If the agreement is returned within the 3 month window prior to check in, both the $250 and the rental fee are required. Rental amount is due at time of booking. For Bookings made three months or more in advance, deposit only will reserve the dates, and the rental payment is due 30 days prior to check-in. If not received, he booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited for non payment. Exceptions can be made for ski season rentals. Upon your arrival, the $250 deposit converts to a damage deposit. If the following provisions are met, your deposit will be mailed to you within seven (7) days of your departure. • No damage is done to the home or its contents. • No linens or household items are missing. • No early check-in or late checkout. • House has not been smoked in. PAYMENT We accept payment by personal check, PayPal, or postal money order . Payment in full must be received 30 days before arrival. CANCELATIONS If you cancel less than 18 days before check-in, your deposit is subject to forfeit. The first day of the rental, there will be no refunds for any reason. No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason. No cancellations due to weather. RENTAL AGREEMENT Upon receiving your security deposit, and a signed and dated copy of the Rental Agreement, a rental confirmation will be emailed to you. Once we receive full payment for your reservation, we will email you a welcome packet that includes travel directions to Serenity Now! Including the lockbox code to access the house. Guests are advised that Serenity Now is a hillside home with steps to both entrances. We do not recommend this home to families with toddler aged children. We assume no insurance responsibility for injuries incurred due to falls in or out of the home. Guests use facilities at their risk, and are advised to use reasonable caution entering and exiting the home. Parking is streetside and may be partially obstructed by plowed snow. Guest may use shovel (in closet) to clear parking. Owner assumes no financial responsibility for winter weather created conditions. HOUSEKEEPING When you arrive, the home will be clean and set up with linens and as a courtesy we have included the following list of supplies to accommodate the appropriate amount of guests: • Bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes. • Dishwasher soap, toilet paper, laundry soap may be on hand. • Guests may wish to bring extra blankets and/or quilts in cold weather Small pets are allowed, with a maximum of two pets. Guests who bring a pet or pets are required to monitor them and take them outside for regular bathroom breaks. Please do not leave your pet in the home when you are away. Report any damages upon leaving. Pet damages may be deducted from the rental deposit. This is a non-smoking home. You are permitted to smoke outdoors on the deck. Butts are to be disposed of properly and not left anywhere on the property. Any violation of the smoking policy will incur a $50.00 fee and if additional cleaning is necessary to remove smoke odors from the house and/or linens, costs will be subtracted from your deposit. We may supply some games and activities for our guests, however some games have small pieces or parts and are not suitable for young children, i.e. toddlers and infants, who may put things in their mouths. Do not allow young children to play unsupervised with games. The fireplace is available to guests. Please follow the instructions and guidelines included in your welcome packet. Telephone service is local only. Please use a calling card or cell phone for long distance. Check-in time is no earlier than 4 pm ET. There is only a 5 hour window to completely clean, disinfect and set up for the next guests. Please respect this work schedule and do not arrive early. In the event no guests are scheduled immediately before you, this may be flexible. Checkout time is no later than 11 am ET the day you are scheduled to leave. We must be able to enter the home at noon. If you do not vacate the premises on time, you may be charged for one (1) additional night‘s stay. If there are no guests booked immediately after your stay, check out time may be flexible. Checkout procedures: Prior to checkout, all dishes should be washed and put away. Beds may be left unmade and sheets and pillowcases left on. Used towels should be placed in the laundry hamper or on the floor in the bathroom. Before leaving, set the thermostat to 55 degrees in the cooler months and 50 degrees during warmer months. Make sure all doors and windows are locked and shut. We will not be liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, call us as soon as possible and we will arrange for shipment. We will inform you of the shipping cost and with your approval, deduct it from your deposit refund to cover the expense. ADDITIONAL TERMS You must be 21 years of age to rent this home and provide proof of age, if requested. The home has a maximum occupancy of six (6) guests. Renters who exceed the occupancy limit and falsify occupancy information at the time of reservation are subject to eviction. House parties are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Guests are to respect nature and take care to guard themselves and their guests as appropriate. If a personal check is returned to us for non-sufficient funds, you will be charged the amount levied by the bank for NSF charges. Any exceptions to the rules and regulations as written here, must be approved in writing in advance. Rates, terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. Force Majeure. There may be circumstances beyond our control and contemplation, in which the property might not be available for your booking. Examples of these include (but are not limited to) destruction of or severe damage to the property. In the event of Force Majeure, we will do our best to make alternative arrangements for you where possible. If we cannot, or if the alternative arrangements are not acceptable to you, then we will refund all monies paid. This will be the full extent of our liability to you in such circumstances, and we will not be responsible for any other costs connected with any such cancellation, howsoever arising.
