  Good news first... Location, location, location. It doesn't get any better than Playa Royale Tower 5. I challenge you to find a condo that is any closer to the water. Full oceanfront view from both the living/kitchen area and master bedroom. Leave the patio door open at night and enjoy nature's soundmachine. The common areas and grounds are immaculate. Free wi-fi in the unit was a definite bonus. The Playa Royale staff is very helpful and a pleasure with which to interact. {Hi Antonio!} The condo management was also excellent. Both Raphael and Nelida were prompt, courteous, and professional from the first request through the return of my deposit. Thank you both! Now to the not so good... Overall the condo seemed ready for a bit of updating. The bed linens were poor quality, towels were a bit frayed, bathroom rugs stained, etc. None of this would keep me from staying here, but I expected better after past experiences with other condos in the same building. The reason I knocked 2 stars of my rating... The master bed was terrible. I read a review about the bed being uncomfortable because it was low to the ground. The height didn't bother us, but the mattress itself was misery to sleep on. I purchased a foam mattress topper (I left it in the unit for future renters), which made it somewhat bearable. It was so uncomfortable that I slept on the living room sofa one night. I was extremely disappointed that I did not get a single good night of sleep on vacation.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  This is our second year renting the same condo. Perfect location and considerate attention from our local hosts, Ralph and Patty. We play golf regularly, visit tiendas y mercados, use the nearby Sports Club, sail the Bay ... and entertain friends that also stay in Nuevo Vallarta as renters and as owners. There are many good restaurants in Nuevo, but friends have made us discover good ones also in Bucerias and La Cruz. The 2 bedroom condo we rent cannot be closer to the beach, making feel the waves right up in the master bedroom ... We love! Our second bedroom is for friends and family that we invite for a one-week stay. This year it was packaged as a gift for our niece anniversary.

  My time at Playa Royale was excellent, the condo was really pretty and very confortable. Also the people that received us, were very nice, polite and attent. In general all the people at Playa Royale were very nice including staff and guests. We also enjoyed that private pool of the building, we spent a great time there, having privacy, confort, and fun. It was also very well ubicated, everything was close, the mall, the sueprmarket, the other hotels, restaurants, and many other things. We were so happy there, that we are thinking on going back next year to have a great time once again.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This is our third time staying in the residence tower in which we LOVE! It is quiet and there is not a fight in the am to get a palapa. The whole building is beautifully maintained and all the workers are very polite and considerate. We love Antonio! This condo's decor is not your typical mexican style at all. I would of prefered that, but still it was beautiful! The master bed needs to be replaced, however. I did wake up a few times with quite a back ache, as it is so low to the ground. An "older" couple would have quite the time getting in and out. I would definitely come back and rent again as long as the bed is replaced.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We love the condo and have enjoyed it each of the three years we have rented it. It has a great view and a good setup with two baths. It is well furnished in a unique style. The pool and health club are outstanding. We have made good friends in the Residence and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The wi-fi in the unit, the new dishes and glasses are very much appreciated. A month there is a month in paradise.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
