November of 2008 we completly redid the Master Bath right down to the 2x4's, installed all new marble tiles in the shower, installed new wallpaper, installed new tile floor and a new shower door.

Ocean Village Club is located on the white, sandy shores of St. Augustine Beach, on the Atlantic Ocean, in St. Augustine, along well-known Highway A1A. The beach is just steps away from your patio door; the hot-tub and two pools (one heated) are also just steps away.

The R Building is one of the last five buildings built in this complex (completed approximately 1999-2000). This also makes it one of the newer oceanfront buildings along this area of the beach.

Our ("R") building is one of the four "oceanfront" buildings in Ocean Village Club. You are only 400 feet away from the ocean.

Tennis courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes (equipment provided) and an active clubhouse are available. Clubhouse has a desktop computer and printer for your use, and is equipped for your wireless laptop. Professional exercise equipment is in an adjacent room. The Clubhouse has a new outdoor seating area for your pleasure.

When you are not at the beach or pool you will find wonderful St. Augustine, the oldest city in the nation, just 10 minuets away. Come to rest, relax and refresh yourself at the ocean or pools or partake of the huge array of near-by attractions.

World-class golf courses, the new World Golf Village and many famous golf tournaments await you. Orlando/Disney attractions are 1.5 hours south as is the Kennedy Space Center. Daytona Beach, famous on its own,and the Daytona 500 race track is only 30 minutes away. Jacksonville, with all of its cultural events is less then an hour north.

St. Augustine City has enough offerings to intrigue you for several weeks; the famous Castillio De San Marcos Fort, St. George Street and all of its shops and open air restaurants, The Alligator Farm, The Fountain of Youth, Potters Wax Museum, Ghost Tours (a must!!) Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, San Sebastian Winery and many, many more. Going the other direction from your condo door you can find almost 300 discount premium outlet shops in two convenient malls.

We are out of state but very "hands on" owners; constantly striving to make our unit the very best in every way. We are actively involved in the Ocean Village Club Condominium Community Association. This combination brings us to the beach five or six times a year.


You will find this unit to be the first in the area to have a QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM. After the usual housekeeping is completed we have a designated person who checks our unit to ensure that everything is perfect for your arrival.

  • Really enjoyed staying in r17 a couple of weeks ago. Very nicely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. My family were very pleased it was our first time staying in this condo. Will look forward to staying there in the future. Maybe even in the off season just to get out of town.

  • My husband and I were so excited to book the condo for the end of the summer. Not long after we booked, we had the bittersweet opportunity to buy a new home that needed much work. We had to make the tough decision to cancel the vacation in order to work on the new house. It was such a hassle free experience! We received our full deposit back along with best wishes from Alex and Patty within 3 days! I never dreamed it would be that easy to cancel. I can't wait until we can book it again next year!

  • We just returned from our second stay in Alex and Patty's wonderful condo. It's our third stay in Ocean Village Club. Our first experience in another condo was not good (dirty), but then we heard about R-17 and that's the only place we will stay now. They keep it very clean and up to date. The kitchen is fully equipped, right down to the pizza cutters and Margarita pitchers. They even have beach towels and a bin full of beach toys, which saves space in packing. Our family loves it here (now I'm afraid it will fill up and we'll never get the week we want again). Truly, though, you will not regret renting R-17.

  • We just returned from spending our wedding anniversary at your condo in St. Augustine. We especially enjoyed being on the first floor and walking out to the beach or the car. The condo is just beautiful and very clean. We loved the new shower stall and the updated appliances. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would definetly recommend it to anyone coming to the area!

True to their policy, Patty & Alex refunded our deposit when they were able to rebook the dates we held. They were kind, considerate and caring and expressed their sadness for our circumstance. We would not hesitate to recommend booking with Patty & Alex again and we sincerely hope we will have another opportunity in the future.

  • We spent our Christmas holiday with our 86 year-old mother from Texas. R-17 was a wonderful place that made us feel at home. We all enjoyed seeing mom have a great time. The description provided by Patty and Alex that led us to decide on this unit was exactly as stated. The amenities were everything we needed and then some....hooray for the washer and dryer and of course, the new TV! We will definitely come back to R-17 when we visit St. Augustine again!

The first impression when we walked in was that of walking into a brand new Model Home, with all the warm touches of home.   • We just returned from our stay in St. Augustine. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The walk to the beach and the pool was perfect. The condo was nicely decorated and very clean. I also loved the washer and dryer! We would definitely stay here again if we return to St. Augustine.
