Location: Colonial Beach, Virginia, USA (3 Blocks from the Potomac River Beach, 90 Minutes from BWI)

Accommodations:  Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)

Our cozy cottage has a water view, and is just three blocks from the Potomac River and one block from Monroe Bay. It is completely furnished. Colonial Beach is a golf cart community. We have 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath, livingroom, kitchen, sun porch for dining or reading/relaxing, a den, and a deck and large backyard. Enjoy walking along the river, lying on the beach, and visiting Igleside Winery and Westmoreland Berry Farm. Enjoy one of the many fine restaurants that Colonial Beach has to offer. Our kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, condiments, spices and linens.

Pets
Well-behaved dogs welcome. A $100.00 non-refundable pet fee will be charged ($60 if your stay is 4 days or less). 2nd dog is half price. Pets may not be left alone in the house for an extended length of time.

Visit the birthplace plantations of President George Washington and General Robert E. Lee. We are less than 2 hours away from Washington, DC, 2 hours from Baltimore, 2.5 hours from VA Beach and 45 minutes from Fredericksburg, VA. Bring your bikes to ride around town. Kings Dominion Amusement Park is less than 1.5 hours away.

Westmoreland State Park has some of the best fossil hunting on the east coast along with a swimming pool with a great view of the
Potomac River.

  • We were impressed with how clean the cottage was upon arrival. The wireless internet was quite valuable in helping us to plan a wine trip through the Northern Neck, and the cottage caretaker was very friendly and helpful in pointing us to local places to eat. Come here for beaches that aren't overcrowded and a calmer vacation.

  • If you are ever looking for a vacation without giving up the convenience of being at home, you should consider the Four-Season cottage. Here you will find the owners have paid attention to every detail to make your stay comfortable. I don't wish to write a long essay, but you will find a well stocked kitchen that even has magnets on the refrigerator door, a grill in the large backyard with a nice deck, a lovely screened room to eat in, the fastest wireless internet connection you can imagine, and a very lovely serene area to just kick back and relax. You may even feel a little like a guest instead of a customer.

  • We had a lovely time at Lisa and Rudy's. It was my Mom's 90th b-day and we had her with us for 4 days at the cottage. We had a great time watching old movies and doing girly things. The resturaunts/shopping was wonderful in the area. We really felt at home with all the things provided for us at the cottage.

  • We visited your cottage at the end of August and found it wonderful. It wasn't too crowded and people were friendly. I had my grandkids with me, ages 6 and 7, and it was very kid-friendly. The beach was great for them and we could relax while they played in the sand and went in the water and they did a lot of bike riding.My grandson even asked if we could come back next year.I found it very comfortable and safe, as I was out every morning for a walk.

  • The Four Season Cottage is a great place to bring your family to for a relaxing vacation. Take your cup of coffee and walk out the front door a few yards to watch the boats and waterfront start to wake up, all the while remembering the smell of your chicken BBQ, chatting across the fence with the neighbors and your eighteen year old daughter laughing like a small child as she chased the fire flies the evening before (we don't have those in CA). Fredericksburg and Washington’s Ferry Farm are nice day trip from the cottage but you will need your overnight bag to see York Town, Williamsburg and Jamestown. The girl’s only complaint was the lack of closet space (there are none) and mine would be that we didn't have a boat along and another week.

  • Family of six stayed during the Easter holiday. Found the house to be cozy and comfortable after long days of touring the area attractions. We traveled to D.C., Fredricksburg, Richmond, Colonial Williamsburg, York town, Washington's birth place. We walked along the shoreline in the evening and enjoyed the sunset. The Yacht Club served a delicious dinner and very reasonable price. Thank you for lending us your getaway. Sincerely the Wyatts
