My old college friend and I spent 3 nights here in 10/11 and we were both thrilled with the accommodations. The cottage was immaculate, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. We spent a lot of time in Nashville - which was a bit of a drive but the cottage was worth the trip. The surrounding area was pretty with the lake and peaceful with the rolling hills. For the price, it was a true bargain and a far cry from any chain hotel! Jack was very pleasant and accommodating as well. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Owner response:"WOW" is all we can say to this wonderful Review. Whenever a guest uses superlatives like, THRILLED, IMMACULATE, WELL APPOINTED, EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE, TRUE BARGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED we are truely encouraged and will work even harder to provide even higher standards of customer service and loyalty. Jack

This home was everything and more for our family. We had traveled back to middle Tennessee for my niece's wedding (only a few miles away at the Pick Inn) and were very pleased with this property. The owner is very helpful, the home beautifully decorated and the grounds well kept. My 94 year old mother came with us, and the home and patio area were very easy for her to get around in. The grandchildren enjoyed fishing in Old Hickory Lake across the street and exploring in the yard. The Pick Inn was the site of the wedding; more deer and wild turkey came out to witness the event than I have ever seen in one place! Nearby is the county seat of Sumner County, a charming southern town to explore. There is lots of history in this area of Tennessee and a beautiful State Park nearby. If you are traveling to Nashville and the surrounding counties, I suggest staying at this property. If you need more room, rent the adjoining home and you have a wonderful place to stay for a larger group.

Our Softball gang stayed at this beautiful place from 9-16-2010 to 9-20-2010. We had a bonfire in the front on one of the cooler evenings. You could see the lake and the moon from all our positions around the fire. In the early mornings, we could all meet on the lower level patio to discuss the day and our upcoming games. The inside was pristine. Everything fresh and clean. This is where we want to stay the next time we have games in that area. Some of us did a little exploring in the huge yard. I found a tourtise shell that I have already cleaned up and have on my table.
Owner response:Thank you again for choosing our combined cabins VRBO #'s 154531 and 251713 for you ladies softball team. We were glad to hear that you placed well in the local tournament and had a relaxing and comfortable Home to return to after all of those exciting games. We hope to see you next time. All the best... Jack and Lenore

Very relaxing and love the lake. The cottage was a home away from home. We cooked most of our meals and had a full kitchen with everything we needed. We were there for my oldest sisters birthday and even made hot cake (her favorite). Cozy place to stay but not far away from stores and restaurants, even to Nashville was a nice ride. Jack introduced himself and made sure everything was ok for our stay. My other sister spent most of her time at the lake fishing. It rained really hard one night but we just set outside on the deck, listened to the rain and played cards. i'd say it had been close to 40 years since we all sat down and played cards. Thanks Jack and we will be back.

We really enjoyed out stay at the cabin during our recent sisters get away. The cabin was all it was advertised to be, it was clean, the owner was very helpful and the landscape was beautiful. Quite and peaceful area. Great get away. Also there is a Geocache close by. Joronda

We really enjoyed your home. It is a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. We rented a pontoon boat and focused on fishing and we caught lots of fish. It was a peaceful and restful stay. Hopefully we will be back on our annual get-away next year. It was great.

Wonderful place you guys have here. We had a very relaxing time. This was our last getaway before our first little one gets here in May. That said, we will always remember this trip together. Maybe one day down the road, we can bring the little one back and catch a fish.
