We just spent 5 nights at El Nido and found it to be the perfect Santa Fe experience and was as represented. Full disclosure, we lived in NM for four years until 2008 and this was our first visit back to the great state. El Nido is part of a historic Adobe home located within walking distance of the downtown plaza and is the perfect Santa Fe "stay" experience. Everything you need to make you feel at home is available; a full kitchen, full bath (tub included), ample closet space and a comfortable bed are all complimented by the true sense of Santa Fe community shared with each guest. The unit is very clean and allowed us the flexiblity to enjoy a leisurely morning coffee or a quite late night snack. If you are looking for a relaxed, comfortable visit to Santa Fe we highly recommend El Nido.

Linda, our stay here has been perfect! It is such a great place to walk a dog, too! And the best of Santa Fe is just blocks away! Mac and I walked to the Sunflower store thru the neighborhood with no problem. Everything is so convenient. We have done Santa Fe, Taos, Taos Pueblo, Los Alamos and Bandelier. Loved it all. I will tell my friends about El Nido.

El Nido is a charming, adobe studio apartment -- owner/hostess Linda delightful and eager to help. A better location, I can't imagine. I walked Santa Fe for four days, many miles a day, all from La Casa Santa Fe! Situated in the colorful, historic Guadalupe district, El Nido is cozy, well appointed, and VERY quiet (a must for me!). All in all, a perfect vacay -- I love Santa Fe anyway and I now have even more reason to hurry back! Thanks so much Linda!

We had a delightful week in Santa Fe. This cozy little rental was ideal for the two of us. Convenient to everything. We did the museums, day trips to Taos and Bandelier, breakfast at the Tesuque Village Market, a lovely sunset respite wading in the Rio Grande. We even did the flea market and some yard sales. Did our hearts and minds good. Highly recommend. Linda was very helpful and fun. Home was clean and bright.

We loved our stay at El Nido. It is in a perfect location in a quiet neighborhood that is only a short walk from the hubbub of the plaza and many other sites. El Nido was spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen. The patio out front was perfect for relaxing after a day at the museums. Also a great location to use as a base for walks at Bandelier National Monument and other nearby areas. Linda could not have been more helpful. We especially appreciated all of the books on local walks/hikes and history. We'll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at El Nido. It was wonderful to stay in an adobe home in Santa Fe. I loved that it was a historic property. The apartment was comfortable and so convenient to the heart of Santa Fe. It was well equipped with all that we needed and very clean. The pictures and description were accurate. Linda was very helpful and also provided maps and a list of points of interest. We have already recommended this property to friends. We considered this great place to stay a blessing! We are looking forward to a return trip.

A first solo visit to Santa Fe and El Nido was an ideal place to stay. Warm, quiet, comfortable, very well equipped kitchen and as good a location as I can imagine for the historic Plaza area, the Railyard and transport links. I highly recommend.

We spent 4 days in El Nido hiking everyday in the vicinity of Santa Fe and then enjoyong a night out on the town. Very comfortably located just 3 blocks from the Plaza the studio has all the necessities. Maybe better fitted for the warm time of the year, it was a bit chilly, but this is a price you have to pay for the fun of staying in a historic building.
Owner response:I'm surprised to hear things felt chilly.....nobody else has mentioned that......perhaps folks were being extra conscientious about saving energy and did not turn up the thermostat? We were having quite a cold spell, and maybe the heat needed a boost.

We feel we were quite lucky to find this wonderful, comfortable, house/studio for our stay. It is in our favorite area, we could walk to the most important places on our list of "things to do"; close to Sanbusco Shopping Ctr, and all the wonderful one-of-a-kind shops in the Guadalupe area, very comfortable walking distance to the Plaza, and Farmer's Market, PLUS all the history that we felt we could be a eensy part of! This wonderful apt. has all the amenities we needed, the kitchen has everything needed, and the SWEETEST stove ever, small but perfect. For a small apt. there is a lot of storage area, too. It is VERY comfortable, clean, well appointed, and has a tub, which a lot of places don't have, and our hostess, Linda, is just perfect, she is a wealth of information and was extremely helpful and gracious with whatever our needs were. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for 4 weeks and I had a wonderful experience in El Nido. Linda was most helpful in providing helpful information and suggestions on places to check out and how to get around. The location is very nice. I really enjoyed walking to the Railyard area and the plaza. The restaurants and shopping within walking distance is more than enough to keep anyone busy. El Nido is easily reached by car when you want to explore by car. The weather is so pleasant that you feel you can walk anywhere. Parking is off street and right at your front door. I will definitely stay again. I felt at home.

I just spent 4 nights at the studio, El Nido. Coming here feels like you're a local coming home. It was the area I wanted to stay in because I know the neighborhood is up and coming, convenient to great restaurants, the Railyard, farmer's market, the Plaza, etc. The studio had everything I needed and when an unexpected rain hit, I was happy to see the thoughtful owners had even anticipated this with an umbrella in the closet! The bed was comfortable, the sheets were top drawer. Santa Fe is quite big on conserving water and I was impressed with the shower head that has a lever to stop the shower while you soap up, and then to start it again to rinse off at the same temperature. I'll stay here again!

I hate to tell you all how much we enjoyed this wonderful little casita because you will all rush down to Santa Fe and it will always be booked when we wish to return. And, thank goodness for vrbo so we never get stuck in a motel room again. It is a 4-star win!

We spent 5 days in Santa Fe at lacasasantafe. It is a great place to stay. It's right on the river. You can walk anywhere you may need to go, restaurants, arket, plaza, etc. El Nido was clean well-furnished and equipped. It is a great alternative to any standard hotel/motel experience. Very nice place. You really feel you are in Santa Fe.

We enjoyed the trip to Santa Fe by taking the Rail Runner from Abq. It was a short walk to El Nido from the train station, so we did not need to rent a car. We were able to walk to many sites and after 5 days we still did not see all we wanted to see. Needless to say, we really enjoyed our visit.

What a great getaway! The location was great and handy to everything. As a single woman travelling alone, I felt safe and secure. It is a quite little neighborhood even though extremely close to The Plaza and even closer to Sanbusco Center and don't forget the Saturday Morning Farmer's Market. I will return again - hopefully soon.

We loved staying here. The unit is so thoughtfully appointed - and with nice quality accessories. The location is fantastic - close enough, but yet just far enough away from the Plaza crush.

Christmas in Santa Fe NM in itself can make for some wonderful memories, staying at the El Nido is just the icing on the cake. Almost immediately you feel at home while being drawn in to its rich history; waking up in the morning to the 130 year old ceiling beams to looking out the window at the neighborhood of adobe homes. However do not let this antique old home fool you it has all the modern conviences, wireless internet, satelite TV, modern kitchen and a new updated bath, not to mention those luxurious bathroom towels ...:) Each morning enjoy your coffee or breakfast at your private kitchen table while the morning sun comes streaming in the kitchen window. Also, a short walk to the Plaza shops and history of downtown area of Santa Fe. Linda, your wonderful host, has spent many years living in the area and quite knowledgeable of the town and its history. She is very available for any questions you may have. Thank You Linda for making this holdiay a very memorable one for us. We will see you again. Ken & Eldeana, Norman OK

We really enjoyed our stay in El Nido. Linda was very helpful and gave us info on where to eat and play. The casita was very comfortable, clean and had the most comprehensive kitchen equipment I have ever seen in a rental, Linda even had an apron there! WE would recommend this casita to anyone wanting to be close to the plaza (10 min walk) and have a nice place to stay.

Wanted to Thank you in writing for the exceptional hospitality that we received during our stay at la casita. We love the city and it was wonderful to stay and experience what it would be like to live in an adobe casita. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend a stay at La Casa Santa Fe!
