We thought the people in Maui were so nice and we really enjoyed talking with them. We went to a different beach everyday, walked to the shops and were very appreciative to have your VERY comfy bed! DESCRPITION
Imagine yourself sitting on the living room sofa or on the private deck, overlooking the emerald green expanse of the beautiful Wailea Blue Golf Course, and beyond, the ocean, sunset, and West Maui mountains. Even though you are in the center of Wailea, you will neither hear nor see traffic.
We are most fortunate with the exact location and placement of this unit. If you come back to the unit in the heat of the day, the bedroom will be cool and shaded from the sun. Because our view is not directly west, in the living room/dining room/ kitchen, and on the lanai, you won't have the sunset glaring directly in your eyes, and yet you will be able to see the ocean, West Maui Mountains, etc. We can also leave the front door open all the time, for more air and light (there is a screen door) but maintain privacy because no one else walks by the front door.
This individually decorated and tropically appointed condo has an air-conditioner but because this is an end unit, every room (including both baths) has at least one (if not many) windows so you can enjoy the pure tropical breezes and hear the birds sing. [I believe the importance of good air circulation is often ignored, until you're stuck without it!.] If you want a comfortable, romantic, elegant, and private retreat, then this is the place for you.
We call our place Olu Olu, which means "cool and comfortable" in Hawaiian. The Aloha Spirit is alive, palpable, and unforgettable. Come to Olu Olu, be our guests, and experience Paradise for yourself!

- Air Conditioning: We have an air-conditioner in the living room that is in a direct line with the bedroom so the whole unit can be cooled. However, we have stayed in the unit every month of the year and have NEVER had the air-conditioner on. With the ceiling fans, and windows in every room, we have not need, or wanted, an air-conditioner.
- Washer: Washer is on lanai and is for use with this unit only.
- Dryer: Dryer in on lanai and is for use with this unit only.

- Garage: No garage but a private, reserved parking spot is available for you right in front of condo.

- King Bed: This is an Eastern King bed and many of our guests have commented on how comfortable it is.

- Cable/Satellite TV (2) : THE TV IN THE LIVING ROOM NOW COMES WITH A DIGITAL RECORDER, TIVO-ESQUE, SO YOU CAN RECORD PROGRAMS WHILE YOU ARE OUT. There is also a new TV in the bedroom with cable access. There are 57 music channels on both TV's.

Why the Owner Chose Grand Champions
I chose this condo in the Grand Champions in Wailea because the floor plan makes the unit seem more spacious, especially for a one bedroom. The condo has beautiful views - of the golf course, West Maui mountains, and the ocean! The Grand Champions is in the center of Wailea, and The Shops of Wailea, the big luxury hotels, the Town Center, some great restuarants, and most importantly, the fabulous beaches are all less then a 5 minute drive or a leisurely walk.

The condo is called "olu olu" which in Hawaiian means cool, refreshing, satisfied, happy, cordial, and gracious. These are the feelings that come to mind when staying at the condo.

Location! Location! Location!!! The best... We had a nice time, condo could have used a little updating and new towels and linens, but over all very enjoyable and peaceful. We visit Maui often and always stay in Wailea because it is so enchanting. Mahalo. Must do's: Mama's Fish House, Makena "Big" and "Little" Beach, and Snorkeling at Kanakena Cove.

It was very nice staying here. Thank you so much for opening up your home to all of us travelers. I like the freedom it offered and the relaxed atmosphere so opposed to the resorts with interruptions of house cleaning and the sort. And needing coffee at 4:30 AM was never a problem! Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as well as expected but that is always a chance we take when the heart is involved.

This place is awesome! Make sure in your stay to go to Big Beach, but be careful of the waves cause they are super big! We went on a really great boat trip called Blue Water Rafting and we saw tons of turtles and dolphins. The bedroom was sorta warm but if you keep the air conditioner on for most of the day it cools things down. Hope you have a totally sweet trip! Thank you.

The plane we were going to take was cancelled, we took another plane, the baggage didn't come on the plane with us, but we finally got here and had a great vacation time.
