We just returned from a week at this beautiful resort which is well maintained by the friendly staff. The unit had everything we needed and more. We would definately recommend this to any couple who likes a quiet resort with clean comfortable accomodations. The rental agent,Jennifer, was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had before deciding to book the unit.

We very much enjoyed our stay! This was our third trip to Maui and our first stay at the Papakea Resort. The unit was very cozy and the kitchen and bath were recently remodeled. The bed was very comfortable and the decor is very pleasing. The unit is air conditioned, but we never needed to use it since the outside temperature (in February) was perfect. We enjoyed having our breakfast on the lanai while being able to surf (the internet). The resort has two nice pools and a putting green but to be honest we were gone every day, returning only to sleep. We got lots of ideas of things to do on Maui from the Expedia host at the welcome breakfast on our first morning, so as a result went snorkeling, horseback riding, and zip-lining. All in all we had a great stay and would love to return again!

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Everything was wonderful! Perfect location, wonderful unit in a great facility. The grounds were well groomed and very pretty. The pool and spa were clean and very nice. We just loved it!

Our first trip to Maui and we loved it. The condo was everything that was promised. Very relaxing. Loved the BBQ's by the pool. Everything was very well maintained and clean. Waking up to the view on Christmas morning was amazing. There was a grocery store right across the street from Papakea. Be prepared to see whales right off the beach. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family...and will hopefully be staying again someday. Thank you.

C307 has been our Aloha home for 2 fantastic weeks. We have loved everything about Papakea and will definitely recommend it to others. Troy, the concierge was a great resource. We especially enjoyed the Ulalena show. We went snorkeling several times and got to see turtles, eels and oodles of different fish. Now we go home with sand in our shorts, tans on our bodies and aloha in our hearts. Many thanks!

We stayed for two nights in April, owner was very accommodating of our request for such a short stay. Unit had everything we needed, very quiet. We've stayed at Papakea several times, great location and atmosphere. None of the overdone resort feel to it, but very well maintained and up to date, unlike some other properties of a similar age. A short walk south along the beach takes you to several large resorts with restaurants, etc. Concierge in lobby was very helpful in booking a one-day trip to Molokai for us.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

This place is amazing! I got this as a present for Christmas/my bday...from my boyfriend...now my FIANCE!...Papakea is such a peaceful, quiet place. We love it here. We want nothing to do with those huge resorts with thousands of people. You can come here and just relax. We loved watching the beautiful sunsets and catching the croaking frogs at night in the ponds...We LOVE it here. Thanks so much for letting us stay. Hopefully we will see you folks soon! Aloha!

My fiance and I stayed at this Papakea studio condo and it suited us perfectly. The condo was clean, well equipped and had nice, simple decor. The view from the lanai was beautiful. The resort had gorgeous landscaping and was in a good location...close to everything without being right in the middle of the congested, touristy areas. The owner was great to work with during the reservation process. There was a binder in the condo full of recommended places to go and places to eat that was very helpful! Also, when we first checked in, we couldn't get the ceiling fan to work. I called the cleaning/maintenance people and they came and fixed it within a couple hours, which we really appreciated! Overall our experience was just great. We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others!!

Out of all the islands, Maui is our favorite....We came to relax&what an amazing place to relax here at Papakea.I love this part of the island the best-it is so beautiful.Napili beach is the best place to snorkel&relax and Fleming beach is the best to boogie board.Go up to the Ritz & see some spectacular views, especially sunset.Here at Papakea we got to see whales from the lanai, drink coffee and just relax.This was 1 of our favorite trips.

This was our 3rd visit to Maui and I would say it was our best. We came this time to just relax and enjoy the area we were staying at. I loved being able to walk to various places and especially being able to sit by the ocean outside our Condo and just relax. The best place to snorkel and relax is just up the road at Napili beach and than to boogie board at Fleming beach was amazing. It was great to sit out on the lanai and drink coffee, relax and watch the whales. This was the best Condo and resort we have stayed at. We will be back. :0)

We couldn't have asked for a better place in Maui. The view was gorgeous, and the location was perfect, close but just far enough out to feel like you weren't in the middle of the tourism. The condo was clean and just the right size for 2 people. We would definitely recommend this rental.

We had an excellent time and loved the condo! Everything was so clean, the condo was quiet, and there were multiple pools to choose from. It was not easy to swim in the ocean directly outside the property since there wasn't a beach, but that wasn't a problem for us, since we were able to just drive a few miles up the road and had our share of quiet, empty beaches. I was able to jog up the coast a little ways to the boardwalk along the ocean for some beautiful views of the ocean. We were within walking distance of multiple other resorts that had restaurants (since otherwise there aren't many places to eat out nearby). Overall, we had no complaints and would stay there again!

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Enjoyed every day of our time here in Maui! Between surf sessions, Halloween celebrations, weddings and snorkle tours it was wonderful to come back to our little hideaway. Rainbows off the front deck, sea turtle sightings both above and below, celebrating our friend's marriage, and getting engaged ourselves. We couldn't have fit much more into our stay! We have had an amazing week in Maui....just walking around, everything feels new; the birds,plants,sounds and smells are so different from the day to day norm of the main land.We have enjoyed many firsts;our first time parasailing, our first time snorkling,our first luau,and our first time eating coconut M&Ms....First time for both of us in Maui.We have loved everything so much that we are planning a big family trip here next summer.We'll be so excited to show our girls this wonderful island.

My new husband and I got married 2 days ago....We invited 48 of our closest friends and family, to join us and it was the best day of our lives. This condo provided a relaxing atmosphere to come hom to each day after our many gt togethers and day adventures in snorkling, surging, lounging and running. ...This was our 1st trip to Maui.We are so glad we came.The condo was a great "base camp" from which to explore the rest of the island.Our favorites include:Slaughterhouse Beach,Big Beach,Little Beach(make sure you know what you are getting into before you go-ha!),whale&dolphin watching above the Honolua Bay,the road to Hana,Brudda Hutts BBQ,walking Front St.in Lahaina and surfing lessons with Maui Wave Riders.Don't forget to pick up some local meat&produce for a BBQ here. We thouroughly enjoy.

My family and I made this special trip to Hawaii so my 6 year old nephew, Griffin, could see the whales. Griffin has an inoperable brain tumor & this was his wish. It is Sat,3/6/10 & today we have to go home after a wonderful two weeks in lovely C307.We really like the suite especially its location and the design.We would def.like to come back. We were here for the tsunami of Feb 27.....It was all very orderly-we went up to the W Maui airport & just waited.Thankfully at least here, nothing transpired.....We've seen so many whales - always a pleasure to see. We enjoy our times in Maui and especially feel so comfortable in your Papakea unit. Its fresh and clean. We enjoy the fact that we overlook the Koi ponds. We barbacue almost ever night and your kitchen has everything we need. We feel right at home! Thanks again, we'll be back

We stayed at the Papakea Resort in February 2009. The room was clean, well decorated and the view was lovely. The pools were close to the room, and there was beach access as well, although we were not there long enough to take advantage of the beaches nearby. The one downside was that our schedule was so full that we had little time to cook meals other than preparing snacks and breakfast while at the resort. The grocery store in the shopping across the street was very convenient. However, we felt that the onsite dining options were very limited, and could have been better. The food at the onsite restaurant in the adjacent hotel was average. I would recommend finding another restaurant if you plan on dining out.

Beautiful studio for 2. We visited in March 2009. We had a lovely stay! Very comfortable and relaxing. Nicely renovated and had all the amenities one could ask for. Very close to good restaurants and shops. Loved how it was right on the beach! Would definitely stay here again.

We would definitely recommend this condo. It was very clean, nicely remodeled and perfect for the two of us. We stopped at Costco when we got off the plane to stock the refer. Used the bbq's next to the pool & hot tub a couple times. Very convenient. Great views. We will be going back for sure!
