A wonderful vacation awaits you at "The Pinecone," our spacious and newly renovated condo in the San Juan National Forest. The rustic lodge-style furnishings are brand new, and all beds have memory foam toppers for extra comfort. Our unit has extra south facing windows for lots of natural light and 20 foot high ceilings, and we do not have any highway noise like some units. The private deck is surrounded by pine trees with peek-a-boo views of the mountains and a small pond.
There are two levels to this bright and open condo. Downstairs is a private queen bedroom with an attached bathroom, the living room, dining area, full kitchen and deck. Upstairs is a large loft with two queen beds, a large bathroom and walk-in closet. The loft closes off with sound insulated folding doors for privacy at night, making it into a private bedroom. There are two air mattresses for extra guests, and a TV/DVD on each level.
Catch the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train just 1/4 mile away at the Rockwood Station, and Trimble Hot Springs is just 10 minutes towards town. Your stay includes use of the heated indoor/outdoor pool, jacuzzi's, fitness center, sauna and spa services in the main lodge, which is a 3 minute walk from our unit.
Enjoy fine dining at Hamilton's Chop House and breakfast/lunch at the Cliffside Deli. There are so many things to do in Durango! Tubing or rafting down the Animas River, an indoor splash/water park, hiking, biking, horseback riding, Jeep adventures, art galleries and many fabulous restaurants. Just pack your toothbrush and come have fun!
*Tamarron is surrounded by the private Glacier Club golf course but we are not members. There is a beautiful public course 10 minutes towards town at Dalton Ranch.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
We chose Tamarron for several reasons. It is right at the snow line so we get great snow, but not too cold like the ski area and further north. It is also close enough that popping into town is easy.
The pool and spa area is great, and the scenery is so beautiful.

(This guest stayed over Thanksgiving week 2008) We returned last night from enjoying your amazing condo - thank you so much for making it available for us. We created wonderful memories there that I know none of us will ever forget! Your place is just beautiful, and the area was breath taking. We were surprised and excited for a snow covered Thanksgiving! Our kids - 25, 22, and 21 - went out and built a great snowman! Our grandson, Jackson, enjoyed playing in the foyer area - the bench there was just his size! We took family pictures in Durango for our Christmas card, and we snowboarded at Wolf Creek on Saturday. I do believe we packed two weeks worth of activities into 4 days! We would love to make our trip to Durango an annual event, and would be thrilled if we were able to rent your condo again.
