This was our first visit to Quail Creek but it won't be our last! We were delighted with the excellent accommodations at Richard's and Carol's home. We very much appreciated the use of their golf cart as well as the bicycles they thoughtfully provided. The golf here and at nearby courses was fantastic and very challenging and we also enjoyed visiting the dessert museum, the airplane museum, the copper mine, Madera Canyon, Tubac and Patagonia. There is so much more to see so we will have to come back again. The facilities at the Club House are first class and the staff as well as the people we met were all friendly and very helpful. Once again we felt very privileged to share Dickson’s beautiful home.

Fantastic Southern Arizona Getaway

Date of Stay: 07/01/11 Review Submitted: 09/26/11

This was our second (3) month stay at Richard and Carol's Quail Creek home. What a total pleasure. This home has everything you could possibly want. No matter if you decide to stay for a week or for and extended period of time, you'll not want for a single thing. Well equipped and clean this property is conviently located within walking distance of the resort's pool, dining area, fitness center and club house. The neighborhood is friendly and we've always felt welcome. Peaceful and quiet the backyard view of the Santa Rita Mountains became our evening tonic. Evening star gazing a must...just sit and watch! If you're lucky maybe you'll see javalina's, coyotes, rabbits, hawks or maybe even a bobcat! There's more than enough to see and do in this part of Arizona. There's the Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park (East & West), the Titan Missle Museum, Mexico, Madera Canyon, the 'Pit' Copper Mine, etc. Also, there are day trips to Mt. Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, Patagonia, Tuscon, Tombstone, etc. Honestly, if you choose the Dixon's Arizona Ranch for you're stay away from home, you'll not go wrong. Matter of fact, we're anticipating another! Mike and Jane

We first spent a month here at the Dixon family home back in 2009. Last year it was two months and this year, it has been three wonderful months from February through April. Quail Creek is a great place to spend the winter and the Dixon home is now 'our' home away from home. What could be more enjoyable than a day of golf or a hike in the Madera Mountains (just a hop skip and a jump away) followed by a relaxing glass or two of wine on the patio watching the reflection of the setting sun on the Santa Rita Mountains. You can be as busy as you want to be or as lazy as you want to be and, by the way, you don't need an excuse it be lazy around here.............it comes naturally, at least for me!! Last year, I established a personal record and read ten novels during our two month visit. This year, highlights of our stay included a four day trip to Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, as well as a visit to the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monumnet and a night time visit to Kitts Peak Observatory to look at the stars and the planets through an actual telescope. Reservations are necessary but it's well worth it if you enjoy astronomy! Thank you Richard and Carol for sharing your beautiful home and your little bit of paradise here in Green Valley and Quail Creek! We'll be back! Happy trails!!

We just returned from a week in Quail Creek and your wonderful home. It was welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. We enjoyed the clubhouse and the restaurant there was excellent. $10 bottles of wine! We found plenty to do in the area, including the Sonora Desert Museum, a drive to the artsy communities of Patagonia and Tubac and the ASARCO Mining Tour, and enjoyed relaxing on the back deck and BBQing and watching the night sky.
