Location: Zion National Park, Utah, USA (Less than 1hr drive to Zion NP, Bryce Canyon & Brianhead)

Accommodations:  Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 10)

Come visit our mountain retreat located in the beautiful rustic town of Duck Creek Village in Southern Utah. The cabin is centrally located between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. Both are less than one hour away by car. Congestion outside the national park can be avoided by staying here. The drive along scenic route 14 displays magnificent rock formations, lava beds, pines and aspens. With a subtle breeze, the pines around the cabin seem to "whisper".

The changing autumn leaves during the fall season provide spectacular color that is one of a kind. The winter provides a wonderland of powder snow. There are areas heavily wooded with open valleys and creeks in between. It's safe to say that during your visit it's likely you will encounter more animals than humans! During warmer weather, deer are often seen throughout the property and surrounding areas. The essence of all four seasons is captured each year making this a "hidden gem" compared to the other larger counties of Utah.

There's truly something for everyone, from the active family to the extreme enthusiast. The Dixie National Forest line is only a few steps behind the cabin with miles of hiking, biking, and ATV trails. Just down the road in Strawberry Valley are miles of open meadow ideal for snowmobiling with access to Brian Head trails. Nearby attractions and activities are also easily accessible such as fishing lakes, mystic ice caves, and waterfalls. All the amenities of home are provided in the serenity of a forest setting. We hope you can come visit to see for yourself...

Submitted in our cabin guestbook: Five women, hiking friends who went to high school together in Knoxville, Tennessee, have had a wonderful few days here at Duck Creek. We have been to Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Kadakchrome Basin, Escalante Grand Staircase, etc. It has been a fabulous vacation! We have loved the house and its location in this wonderland of beautiful scenery. The weather has been great and we could ask for nothing more! Thank you for a wonderful stay at your cabin. Submitted in our cabin guestbook: As a boy, my family and I spent a lot of time at duck creek camping. As I have gotten older, my idea of camping has been in a hotel with running water. After using the cabin these last few days, I have decided this is the way to camp from now on. Thank you for the use of the cabin, we had a great time, and all 8 of us loved it. Have a great year to all of you that stay and play here. P.S. See you next year hopefully!!! We have recommended your cabin to our friends, they are looking forward to having memories like ours. 801-381-5603

Submitted in our cabin guestbook: What a lovely experience. I loved the cabin. I loved the wind-the quiet-the little chipmunk trying to come in for a visit-the fabulous area-most of all, my companion(Mary). Me too! My favorite thing is the wind whispering. Very beatific. Best of all, I haven't left yet.

Submitted in our cabin guestbook: You couldn't beat this location for visiting all the beautiful canyon parks. (And don't miss any as they all are different and all beautiful) Six of the Phillips clan spent a glorious 6 days here at Whispering pines (though at times the winds blew so hard that it was more of a yell). Wednesday nite we got a dusting of snow which added it's own charm. Days were spent exploring Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks & Brian's Head, North Rim of Grand Canyon & charming Duck Creek Village. We all came together as a family, and built lasting memories. We ate well and played hard. Randey treked many a trail with Sheila at his side taking many a pretty picture. Mom & Dad were the most wonderful hosts bringing us together. Denise lent her brand of humor to keep things fun. Last but not least I was there bringing up the rear. May you all be as lucky as we were this week.

Submitted in our cabin guest book: Thank you so much for the wonderful home we had for the last 4 days. It is cozy, warm, inviting and we all loved it! The canyons were beautiful. We came back and roasted marshamallows over the campfire :) Can't say enough. The weather was different everyday. We would love to do this again!

    • Our family had a fantastic time at the cabin. We skied Brianhead with virtually no crowd and snowmobiled to a beautiful lookout. We can't imagine how nice it must be in the summer with the local fishing and trails (hiking or mountain biking).
