Owner's Map of Truckee
Long time Bay Area residents, our family currently lives in Novato, CA. We have two small children (see picture), a dog (Kayla), and two properties in Truckee. We came close to living in Truckee full time, it is a beautiful place and we spend time there as often as we can! The hikes, skiing and snowshoeing from this house are the best, and without the crowds or car ride. Enjoy this home if you can get away!

Homeowner Response:
Note: This temperature issue is common in the mountains during winter for a tri-level home since there is a single thermostat located on main floor. There are several portable floor heaters throughout the home so you can maintain your heating requirements downstairs and not overheat the upstairs! If you keep the wood stove burning, you will only need a portable heater for downstairs, as the fire keeps the main floor and upstairs quite warm.
